Two of the three most popular players in Fantasy Premier League take to the field as Tottenham Hotspur make their way to Newcastle United in the 1.30pm kick-off.

Harry Kane is the main captaincy pick for Sunday’s early fixture. Owned by 37% of FPL managers, he’s been handed the armband by 22% on the back of 7.5 points per match last season.

The Spurs frontman was also runner-up in our Gameweek 1 Captain Poll after netting seven times in his final two away appearances of 2016/17.

Meanwhile, his team-mate Dele Alli is the most owned midfielder in the game, sitting in 38% of squads for the trip to Tyneside.

Both Alli and playmaker Christian Eriksen supplied 6.1 points per match last term and face a defence with just eight clean sheets in 23 home fixtures in the Championship.

Meanwhile, with the Magpies’ fixtures turning kindly next weekend, we get the chance to scout the likes of Matt Ritchie and Dwight Gayle as potential mid-price options for our squads.

Elsewhere, Rob Elliot gets the nod between the posts for the home side – he’s currently the only active 4.0-priced keeper in the game.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

City attacking options is a real headache. I went KDB and will hold for a few weeks but maybe Walker + Mendy is a better way into the City points?

Expensive, but a back four of Walker, Mendy, Bertrand and Yoshida sounds ok to me.

Zaha picture doesn't look very good, Palace forum also has a thread on him leaving the stadium on crutches yesterday. Did anyone notice him in any discomfort during the game? I just saw MOTD highlights...

Wait Spurs replaced Kyle Walker... with Kyle Walker-Peters, lol did he add the Peters just because it would be too hilarious if he was also just Kyle Walker?
