Two of the three most popular players in Fantasy Premier League take to the field as Tottenham Hotspur make their way to Newcastle United in the 1.30pm kick-off.

Harry Kane is the main captaincy pick for Sunday’s early fixture. Owned by 37% of FPL managers, he’s been handed the armband by 22% on the back of 7.5 points per match last season.

The Spurs frontman was also runner-up in our Gameweek 1 Captain Poll after netting seven times in his final two away appearances of 2016/17.

Meanwhile, his team-mate Dele Alli is the most owned midfielder in the game, sitting in 38% of squads for the trip to Tyneside.

Both Alli and playmaker Christian Eriksen supplied 6.1 points per match last term and face a defence with just eight clean sheets in 23 home fixtures in the Championship.

Meanwhile, with the Magpies’ fixtures turning kindly next weekend, we get the chance to scout the likes of Matt Ritchie and Dwight Gayle as potential mid-price options for our squads.

Elsewhere, Rob Elliot gets the nod between the posts for the home side – he’s currently the only active 4.0-priced keeper in the game.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Clean sheet from Bailly And a goal or assist from Mata would be fantastic.

why are Kane owners and captainers complaining??

its only their own fault for going with someone who always starts poorly. You ignored the stats.

it was such an obvious stat but many people chose to ignore it. I think it was the fear factor, people were on here saying kane was essential and going crazy at people who didn't include him

Also people going caught up on kane's finish when he was shooting on sight and being selfish just to get the golden boot. That was a one off

Goal disallowed, hit the post, assisted the assister twice.

He looked dangerous, could have easily been a double didgit haul. I'm happy with his performance and won't have to destroy my team once he does start firing.

          No you're being silly.

He blanked, it happens. Unless you actually know in advance what is going to happen for sure next week then you have no idea what Kane will do next weekend.

I got one pointers from Jesus and Kane this week, but I'm sensible enough and reasonable enough to know that won't be the case every weekend.

So just chill out and stop being silly.

He had two clear cut chances second half and didn't do much wrong with them. This August stuff is nonsense, it's pure chance he didn't get a brace.

Really need Lukaku after that painful showing from Kane.

At least the Chelsea midfield and defence is looking pretty ropey next week with all their bans/injuries. Should be fine, and definitely want him for Burnley.

Plenty of players are good at playing the money game and end up with a better team within a few weeks because of it.
