Gameweek 2 begins in south Wales, with Swansea City hosting early league leaders Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho’s side claim that position following Sunday’s 4-0 demolition of West Ham United – their biggest opening weekend victory since 2006 (5-1 vs Fulham).

In contrast, Swansea will play host having battled to a 0-0 stalemate at Southampton; a game which saw them muster just four shots on goal to the Saints’ 29.

However, Paul Clement’s side are unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches – winning four and drawing two – and are on the verge of a club record if they can possibly avoid defeat today.

Goals may be hard to come by for the home side who are without the departed Gylfi Sigurdsson and last season’s leading scorer, Fernando Llorente. That pair contributed 53% of Swansea’s goals last season.

United will look to Romelu Lukaku for their goals.

Backed by his growing Fantasy ownership – which now accounts for 53.5% of FPL managers – the Belgian will look to build on last weekend’s brace against the Hammers.

However, his record against Swansea is far from convincing. He has claimed just three goals in 11 appearances against the Welshmen and has failed to score against them in his last six outings.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Watching the post-match interview I'm astounded how well Mkihitaryan knows English. Imagine one of these lazy English slobs trying to speak Armenian.

With Lukaku - the question is should we have all three ?
It would totally go against FPL wisdom to put so many eggs in one basket but it is hard to ignore.

    @ waxys

Hopefully you are now seeing why Utd are better with Lukaku than Ibra. Counter-attacking much easier with someone who runs.

Maybe. But Martial was on the pitch when Ibra was playing last season. Fundamentally Ibra stands around or walks too much. PL is about movement. Ibra will put things in the net, but Lukaku is a better bet for Utd given his age and playing style.

If Ibra was 28 it would be different, but he isn't. He is old now.

Mkhi is the bandwagon to get on guys.

Passed the eye test last gw and I got him in.

Pogba may have scored more points this gw but you know Mkhi will be banging them goals in very soon and I think Mkhi will be far more consistent.

        Chose wisely. 🙂

I know everyone says Martial was so superior to Rashford, but we have to be a bit more nuanced I think. Rashford was arguably the most lively of the United frontline until he came off.

It was not until the end that Swansea actually started going forward. Although being down 1-0 they pretty much sat low until 15 minutes left of the game. That's when they went forward and gave United the opportunity to counterattack.

If it was the other way around; Martial playing when Swansea sat low and Rashford coming on the end I am certain Rashford would have looked better than Martial, just because how much more open the play was in the end.

The bottom line is Martial is a better footballer. He is a much better finisher

Having said what I said below, I do agree that Martial is a better footballer. Tactically though, you gotta let Mourinho do his thing. Martial took advantage of Rashford's hard work early on, so there shouldn't be too many complaints

Doesn't help that he's lively. He can't pass the ball, and he can't hit the target.

Pogba is a strange one for me. In both games so far, he's not shown much attacking intent up until the 70th odd minute when the other team is chasing the game. To be fair, he's a presence from corners as shown today and also appears to be on free kicks, but I wonder how he'll fare in matches when United aren't leading. No doubt he's terrific value for 8.0 and I'd be getting him in if I didn't have my three United slots tied up in DDG, Mkhitaryan and Lukaku - I'm just really interested to see how he'll perform from a fantasy point of view in games where United aren't leading in the second half.

I started with Lukaku and Mkhitaryan from the off. Now the decision is do I get in a defender for the likely clean sheets or Pogba
