It’s time for our regular post-Gameweek members’ article as we assess some of the standout statistics from the previous ten matches.

A handful of mid-price wide men from Watford, West Ham and Southampton catch the eye, while Spurs and Liverpool’s left-backs chalk up some impressive figures.

Chelsea and Newcastle United’s new strikers also come under analysis as we assess their early impacts in the top flight.

    Anyone disappointed that Rooney has retired from international football? He's certainly started the season well, but think the timing is probably right now, plus he wouldn't be the talisman of the team anymore with Kane obviously first choice.

      Not in the least bit disappointed. He should have retired a couple of seasons ago.

      Nope, since he burst onto the scene he has been pretty useless for England. I know pretty much all of the players have but his first touch and movement at times was horrendous. No amount of goals in the qualifiers will change my mind

      Still would have been a decent bench option for England. I could think of worse players to bring on if chasing a game.

        Quite possibly not (currently have firmino) would have to score about 40 more points to justify higher price, think hernandez *could* be a season keeper, if not another 7m or less striker pretty likely to emerge...

      Depends on how many goals and assists you think each one will accrue over the course of the season. If you think Firmino will score 20% more points that Chicharito, then he's worth it.

        I'm looking at the next 5-7 gameweeks and Chicha has better fixtures and less likely to be rotated as he has no CL.

    If he's not injured and if Aurier does not sign Im getting Trippier for Daniels for a hit and going with this squad for gw3:

    Just had to pull the trigger on my moves for this week. Gutting to miss out on Eriksen's rise last night and Iwobi sneakily fell for a second time but couldn't stand to see him rotting away for another minute in my team - awful punt.

    Hope the value lost doesn't come back to bite me.

        Zaha was the priority GW1 and was waiting until later in the week this time around before making the moves as I didn't want to get burned by an injury in training or something similar.

        Glad to have him gone, only really a .2M swing that could have been avoided (difference between Tripper and Davies for example) so hopefully it doesn't prove to be a fatal error.

        1. @persecuted_by_mods
          9 years, 18 days ago

          I wildcarded after the first gameweek, had about 6 players dropping in value and just went for it. Looks like we had a similar team of punts that pretty much all backfired.

          Re the value of course it's easier with the money as the pricier players tend to get more points but its not always the case, so wouldn't worry too much. Hell the guys top of my mini leagues all have like 1m or 0.5 itb

    Using my WC this week, what do we think of this:

    Foster (Elliott)

    Alonso, Trippier, Davies, (Mbemba, Long)

    Mkhitaryan, Pogba, Eriksen, Richarlison (Loftus-Cheek)

    Lukaku, Jesus, Chicharito

    Colback looks like he'll drop to 4.4 so might swap RLC with him. I'll then have 0.8ITB so plan is to sell Davies at 0.1 profit and get Mendy when he's back. Thoughts?

        Have

        Willian KDB JWP

        Kane and Lukaku

        Going to do JWP to Richarlson

        Will Trips and Davies be guaranteed for the season?

        I believe in premium defenders over the course of the season rather than taking punts on 6.0 mids and strikers.

      since there are 6 top sides now (including Liverpool and Arsenal in that) one will definitely try and win this cup, as Man Utd did last season to get silverware.

      They will and it'l be annoying to hold, maybe lose value while other players are scoring and then get rid just as he smashes it but the point is he simply aint worth 10m, he's a 9.5

    How would you spend 2.5itb?

    A) Stephens--->Alonso (already got Cedric)
    B) Mounie--->8.5 forward(got Salah & mane, so no Firmino)
    C) Atsu--->7.5mid
    D) save the FT

      for next 2 Gws yes...Then once UCL starts expect him to share time with Smalling+Lindelof
      If you long term types go for Bailly or De gea

    Play Elliot (WHU) or Begovic (MCI)?

    Definitely leaning towards Elliot...

    Also, Atsu (WHU), Carroll (cpl) or TAA (ars)?

    How good was Vardy vs Brighton?

    1. @persecuted_by_mods
      9 years, 18 days ago

      Close to a couple of tap ins but fluffed his lines, wasn't as useful vs a team that sat back but still had chances. Mahrez was more influential

      Would be relying on attacking returns as defensively i rate them as one of the worst in the league

      Not sure about heir defence. Better option elsewhere.

      Chicha & Antonio seem to be good options.
