We turn to the Opta data next for our regular post-Gameweek check on the top performers over the weekend for members.

A host of midfielders catch the eye this week, with assets from Liverpool, Spurs, Leicester and Stoke all impressing. The growing influence of Burnley’s playmaker is also highlighted as we also check in on Manchester City’s left-back debutant at the Vitality Stadium.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I'm holding onto my WC for now.

    De Gea Elliot
    Hegazi TAA Suttner Stephens Hunemeier
    Mkhi Salaha Ritchie KDB Carroll
    Kaku Kane Tammy

    1 FT (0.6 ITB)

Was thinking of KDB to Alli and TAA to Naughton, leaves me with 1m ITB. Thoughts?

Don't worry about cover. Especially not Arsenal cover at this point. The bottom line is that a United defender like Bailly or jones will score more than Kolas if Arsenal keep conceding no need to put more thought into it than that IMO

As an Arsenal fan, the Ox deal should be seen as fantastic. 40 Mill for a player who wants to leave and is in the last year of his contract?

In a market where Salah goes for less than that and Walker goes for 50 mill...great business.

As for the player, I was pretty excited when he signed, but he's clearly another over-hyped young English talent ala Walcott, Wilshere, Stones, Barkley and many more.

Hope he gets the chance to establish himself, but to be fair he probably would've done it Arsenal by now if he was going to do it at all.

Because they have destroyed our team. As I correctly predicted, weeks ago, almost alone.

You may have noticed our last three results, after a reasonably good start to our pre-Season.

Of course have noticed the poor start...

But in isolation each addition looks reasonable.

I believe the club itself is the problem from the top down. The owner, chief executive and manager all need replacing...

No, they don't. Zabaleta is too old, and has not been given the job of mentoring Byram, so may as well bugger off.

Arnautovic HAS ALREADY proved my point about being temperamentally unstable, and bad for the team.

Chicharito has had no pre-Season, and will break down sooner rather than later. In addition, he needs a partner, whereas we are suited to playing with two DMs. Moreover, Sakho has just screwed himself and the club over. Again.

Hart is now, and has been for a year or more, a crap goalie, and an embarrassment. He was bought by DG and DS for sentimental Birmingham reasons. His advent has fractured the dressing room, as Adrián is a very popular senior player, and he and Noble were instrumental in pulling the team out of the mire, last Season.

                Reasonable???

                Don't make me laugh.

Don't need a replacement at all. Squad player who covered at various positions that already have other cover?

Of course I'd like a 100 mill bid for Vidal, which would solve every problem...but know it isn't going to happen.

Keeps Sanchez happy. Proven winner with the 'tough captain' mentality everyone keeps saying Arsenal need. Dominates games from midfield and can do the dirty work.

Don't forget the FA Cup final, there's not much that needs changing to sort many of the problems out.

I get that it would make sense that it should ripple across the team and sort them out. But I think Neville was spot on in the game. Arsenal players just can't be bothered to try when things don't go well. I wouldn't be surprised if Vidal becomes like that within a year under Wenger

Just don't really know anymore. I really thought that 2-0 game v Man City where Coquelin looked great was a turning point. Like he'd realised you can't just play all out attacking and passing away from home v good teams. But yeah same old same old... sigh

Sad how the younger fans view wenger as some senile old man who has no idea what he is doing. I can't tell if it's the way this generation thinks wanting instant satisfaction and because he's not winning he's one of the worst managers in history or perhaps these people really can't think for themselves and just simply follow others views.

Wenger will go down in history and for me is one of the greatest managers to grace the league. Yes, he has made some poor decisions recently but at his peak the team he built was one of the most incredible/exciting teams I have ever seen and probably will ever see.

For me those memories created are some which I will never forget in my lifetime. It's easy to forget the past and concentrate on the now (or recent years).

I laugh at some of these kids out there who make disparaging remarks towards wenger like the guy has no clue but then look at other managers as the second coming (I won't name them) even though they are not half as successful as Wenger

Agreed. Its a vocal minority who're being rude though. Majority like Wenger and are forever grateful, but some want him to go.

It'll be funny when there's eventually a TV money deal crash and or the Russian/Middle Eastern businessmen decide to leave football.

Wenger'll be laughing then after how good of a state Arsenal are in.

It's no disrespect to someone like Wenger, he's not called "The Professor" for nothing, but it seems he's getting short of ideas nowadays. The players seem to be going into a comfort zone at Arsenal. He for some reason is not able to inspire them to perform to their full potential. But having said that, since "the Invincibles" departed Wenger has not been able to re-create the magic. When Van Persie left, it was a similar crisis they were in although there was more hope of turning around then than right now.

No one can doubt the impact he had on the club and English football as a whole when he came and the first 8 years he and his team were truly sensational.. the sad thing is there has been a much longer period of mediocrity and getting hammered and bullied the way his teams used to do to others.. his Arsenal career has been very much one of two halves.. actually the
tremendously successful period becoming the smaller and smaller half the longer he hangs around stinking the place out

As an older Liverpool fan I have the deepest respect for Wenger and what he did for the English game. For years I have admired and even envied the way the Gunners play football. But all good things come to pass. It's time for a change at Arsenal surely? Even King Kenny had to step away when we needed a change. You can't hold on to past glory forever. Liverpool supporters should recognize that better than most.

"Understood that Oxlade-Chamberlain has signed 5-year deal worth £120k a week. Sad indictment of #AFC that he turned down £180k to stay.."
Also turned down over 200k a week. Regardless of what you think of his ability i think its admirable that he isnt purely motivated by money and has the self belief that he can succeed in his preferred position at Liverpool

What cheap players have people got in their WC defences?

Currently looking at a back line of Jones, Cedric, Naughton, Mee, Hegazi.
Players from defences who have kept and look like keeping clean sheets. Wondering whether there are any better options though.
