This is a very strange experience.

Denied the opportunity to host this week’s ScoutCast by BT’s shortcomings and with the Wildcard active, I am forced to join you and eavesdrop while my decision-making is torn apart by Andy, Jonty, Az and Luke. I have to admit, it’s pretty tortuous.

It’s like my hands are firmly fastened to the couch while the quartet lapdance* their critique around me. How I want to get “involved”.

Aside from appraising my “ill-timed” Wildcard, the boys tackle your other community questions.

They consider the Liverpool double-up, question whether midfield coverage can replace either Kane and Lukaku, debate whether Alonso is essential and then look at how fixtures can shape cheap defensive acquisitions.

I’m pretty sure they answer them all exactly as I would. In fact, listening back, they appear to justify my Wildcard for me. I can hardly wait for next week.

      It's a wait and watch situation for me. Getting Siggy means loosing a premium mid for me. But if he's on all set peices it might just be worth it. Really want to know who's on pens for Everton!

        On a closer look you spread is quite thin it seems...
        I would suggest to diversify the options..

      352 is a viable option with the great mid options but you have 3 Pool players so when they draw 0.0 you will get a max of 6 pts from the. Youre gonna need a 3.0 every game.

      I like it a lot. Almost identical to my WC draft of 4 days ago!

      I have issues with the defence - if/when Hegazi loses his place you're stuck with starting Schindler with possible heavy defeats.

      If you started with Heg, cash him in for 0.2 profit; if you're bringing him in now he's too expensive. The likes of Naughton will be safer. If you have 0.1 saved maybe your 4.0 can be a playing 4.5.

    Feeling itchy having not really made massive changes to my squad with a Wildcard. Intentionally have no elite players in there. Morata is the most expensive and it will stay that way.

    I’m wondering, should I downgrade Alonso and fix my bench?

      Is the 1.1 earmarked for Sanchez/Hazard or someone like that? If not, I'd consider Lacazette to Lukaku (protection) or a WBA/MU defender if you can afford one.

    Unsure of whether to make a transfer or save which would give better options and 2FTs for GW5.

    C. JWP and Kun to Pogba v Stoke (A) and Firmino v City (A) (-4)?

    I'm tempted to save and re-allocate some funds to midfield in GW5. What would you go for?

      I am using WC this week as well.
      I had the same plan for Kane(keep 1.0 mil for next week), but i was suggested to get Kane from now and not to waste next week's transfer.

      I mean you kinda make up for it by having both Eriksen and Ali.. it's different but good.

      Captiancy might be an issue, choosing one of Alli or Eriksen as captain each week for their plum fixtures would be a nightmare but if you get it right then you're GOLDEN

        Captaincy is the real issue here. Alli and Eriksen will not "keep up" with the points of a hat trick-scoring, captained Kane. Well, unless you think Alli and Eriksen will score hat tricks...

      Play PVA over Dunk. Save Transfer. Next week drop Lukaku or Kane, your choice and upgrade that midfield. Then figure out what to do with PVA later.
