Gameweek 4 gets underway with the showpiece fixture as Manchester City host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

From a Fantasy perspective, the focus will clearly be on the attacking players.

City’s strikers head into the contest with impressive statistics to back them up. Sergio Aguero has scored in each of his five home meetings with Liverpool since arriving in the Premier League. As for Gabriel Jesus, he has been involved in 12 goals in his 11 starts, scoring eight and providing four assists.

But they will face a super confident Liverpool, boasting their own in-form “forward”. Roberto Firmino is the most bought asset over the international break, having found his way into 374,000+ squads since the Gameweek 3 deadline. The Brazilian has scored two goals and earned two assists in his four appearances against City.

Then we have the twin threats of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah – when they’ve started this season, they’ve scored, with five goals between them so far.

Salah is backed by over 238,000 new owners ahead of today’s encounter, only Henrikh Mkhitaryan (241,000+) saw more traffic among FPL midfielders since Gameweek 3.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Robbie Savage ain't that bad. He plays up to his character because it makes him money. Just like Ian Wright, Alan Shearer, Gary Neville etc. Talks more sense than Paul Merson. What does Merson get paid for?

That is what happens in 50/50s. People get injured.

Thats not a 50/50 though. Not when one goes in with his head and the other with full speed studs up at the height.

Here's my one for the "losers" on scoutcast....
Have stuck with KDB all season. Decided at about midnight to replace him with Mane or Salah. Obviously opted for Salah. So now an assist, clean sheet, bonus points down and a sending off up!!! Bollox

    None Mane owner.

Not even a yellow card never mind a red.

Game ruined, Man City already had an undeserved lead and now Liverpool have 10 men.

John Moss needs the red card.

So you can challenge for a ball with studs up at head height? Agree no malicious intent but how can you challenge like that?

He is at full height the guy is 6foot lad and he jumps and sticks his head down. His boot shouldn't be that height. Mane owner here. Disappointing for sure but it's a red

Yellow Card IMO. Not a Red Card. Ederson was equally as dangerous charging out with his shoulder. Ederson lost physically because Mane is a beast.

100 people with benefit of video replay from various angles and its still very divided whether it was a valid red or not

I think it's more a matter of bias here though.

As well as opinion and interpretation of the laws of the game. There wasn't malice but it was dangerous play - though in the moment it's unlikely Mane was aware of it.

Risk of bad injury as has happened is reason that sort of challenge is not acceptable, even though not malicious, and so has to be seen to be punished

Exactly. It was unintentional, but came out as a terrible challenge with terrible concequences. The guy was high footed in the head at full sprint.
