Our regular post-Gameweek delve into the members’ data is next on our Tuesday schedule.
We look at why Sergio Aguero has profited from a change of tactics and try to ascertain just why Harry Kane’s output remains a major issue at Wembley Stadium.
Man City, Brighton and Liverpool’s playmakers also find a place in this week’s article, while the West Ham and Swansea defences also catch the eye.
This week pretty much boils down to.....
A) Mooy and Morata to Obiang and Aguero (c) (-8)
B) Morata to Jesus (-4)
C) Kane to Kun (-4)
D) Hold
Elliott
Davies / Naughton / Mee
Salah / Mkhi / Ritchie / Mooy
Kane / Lukaku / Morata
Hart / Cedric / Carroll / Long
0ft / .5itb
PS.... First
B or hold. Just captain Kane.
Cheers.
Hold if it's for a hit.
Thanks
D)
Thanks
Looks awefull to go into this week without Kun...but look at the bright side, next week Kun have CHE away and kane have HUD...so maybe it would be wise to just hold and hope for the best
See how we go. He might blank.
d probably
Cheers
D could even punt on Morata cap
Could be interesting. Stoke away though?
Same problem. Keep Morata and swap Mooy for Moting?
Itll mean for a hit. Not sure.
Oh my bad, I read it wrong. I'd hold
Yeah hold man, you have enough quality there to easily match any Man City point scores without taking silly hits.
I took a crazy amount of hits last season, trying to be more patient now.
Thanks for the wise word Lord.
That's more me trying to make myself feel better about having no City hahaha.
But I think we have to be patient. In my eyes on their day Kane, Firmino, Lukaku and even Morata yet to be seen could match scores of Jesus and Aguero.
People downgrading Alli/Eriksen to accommodate Silva is extra knee jerky. Alli scored 20 odd goals last year and Eriksen is as good if not better than Silva with a goal threat added.
Patience is a virtue, there will be a new trend next GW, maybe even Kane again?
Very exciting one. Who to start?
A) Naughton
B) A Burnley defender who almost shares the same surname as the man who directed the original Solaris?
B)
Swansea keep all their clean sheets away from home.
Cheers.
Nice reference to Andrei Tarkovski by the way. I watched a few of his films last year - Stalker has to be one of the most 'challenging' 3 hours of my life!
Tarkovsky! Thought I had to get it in there somehow. Yeah, I watched The Mirror in it's entirety and had the same experience. Would like to watch more though.
Those thinking aguero will definitely start Vs palace are deluded and are the ones who have probably bought him in already.
There is still every chance he gets injured tonight or rested Vs palace for CL.
you hope 🙂
Deluded is a little strong. Perhaps hopeful is fairer.
Agreed. Those saying he definitely starts seem to have a short term memory of aguero under pep
I don't have Aguero, but I think he'll definitely start vs Palace. Why wouldn't he?
There is allways a chance, but it is not a big one and even if he is benched he could score from the bench. Even if he doesn't play people who brought him won't need to pay 0.3 more like everyone else
If he doesn't play v palace he will begin to fall in price
FPL is a fickle game
Lol
What is your take on Jesus starting against palace?
depends if he has him of course!
get real chapelle, is this because you cant afford him or are too scared to lose Kane by any chance?
I'm on a WC so I'm golden 🙂
G2G? -4pts, 0.4ITB
DDG
Otamendi Monreal Naughton
Eriksen Salah Mkhi Atsu
Kane(C) Lukaku(VC) Abraham
Elliot TCarroll Dawson Long
yep
Yep, GL with Kane cappo (we who don't own Kun will need it)
Thanks
Is this ''Notify me of replies'' thing working?
never tried 😳
Yes. Email notify
Thanks
Wish it had a little notification thing next your name in the top right like facebook
Yes,that would be ideal.
Swansea tend to play 3 centre backs away from home or against the big sides - great for rotating a Swans defender home/away with another team's budget defender
thats the plan . I have ward and naughton both and I'll rotate them depending on fixtures
Elliot Foster
Bailly Davies Bertrand Naughton Long
Alli Salah Mkhi CM Carroll
Lukaku Jesus Joselu
1 FT and 2m in the bank.
A) Bertrand -> Kola
B) Joselu -> Rooney and bench Bertrand
C) Save
D) Other
C
a
I'm doing Yosi to Kola so...i vote A
Easily A
A
B. Everton got fine fixtures.

De Gea
Alonso Bavies Zanka
Erikson Silva Dacoure Grobb
Morata Jesus Lukaku
Elliott Mooy Mbenba Rosienior
Happy with side and bang on budget. Any thoughts?
Dacoure OUT,
Mooy IN
Dacoure isn't an FPL option to play every week.
Id do Dacoure for RLC - he looks really advanced
NP
A. shaqiri/Gross 343
or
B. Otamendi 4-3-3
B
B
Deffo B unless Pep starts to rotate his CB with Kompany back
Play 2:
A. Sanchez (whu)
B. Bavies (why)
C. Carroll (TOT)
D. Arnie (TOT)
Draft league.
Tough one, i would go for Bavies and Carrol, both could get attacking returns
Cheers. Always difficult when your players fixtures clash
C and d (if fit)
No Spurs clean sheet then Bemba?
It's the kind of game Carroll could boss in a strange way
I would tend to agree with that. Think he could bully Sanchez or Alder on the crosses
I wish there was a 'I want my gameweek 1 team back button'
I would take them all except for JWP.
https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/team/163549/event/1
Somehow I have managed to wreck a great side in 3 gameweeks:
https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/163549/history
Yes but the team value has gone up. That's the key right? 🙂
not really
Taking too many hits I guess
You team isn't bad? You have
Kane
Lukaku
Firmino
Eriksen
Salah
Mkhitaryan
Davies
Bertrand
It will come good. You can easily get Jones in for Bertrand and upgrade the other defenders
Think you being harsh on yourself
Thanks.
But I feel like I am example of 'when hits go bad'
I was thinking of getting Mee in for Bertrand alright
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk or is it really - whatsthebestwaytogetlastweekspointsscorersintomyteam.com??
Very creative
chasing points and picking players who looks like in form are different things
Is it too early to go for hazard or siggy?
Yes, it is. Patience!
I am on WC and have plumped for Hazard (if he doesn't start midweek then I will remove!)
I think not starting midweek is a better indication he might start GW6.
Yeah too early, hold off
Probably but have a plan to fit in if possible.
for hazard that is
First year on fantasy football, transitioning over from the telegraph version. Been getting to grips and have had an ok start, avioding knee jerks where possible. At crossroads this week, thoughts appreciated:
Foster, Elliot
Dawson, Cedric, Alderwiereld, Wimmer, Long
Ritchie, Salah, Mkhi, Tadic, Carroll
Kane, Lukaku, Firmino
1 FT, 0.2 itb
Concerned Soton simply wont score enough
A) Tadic to Gross
B) Tadic & Dawson or Cedric to Gross & Kola (-4)
C) Save the FT
D) Suggestions on alternatives are welcome
Tadić really isn't looking too dangerous, but he has nice fixtures after Man United, I'd consider keeping him.
Stones nailed? Him over Mendy/Walker?
He's a good option yeah
My current front 3 is:-
Morata Kane Firmino
Feel I want rid of one of them this week, therefore should I do:-
A Morata > Lacazette
B Firmino > Rooney
C Firmino > Vardy
D Kane > Aguero
C is tempting but not keen on others.
D
Alonso and Dunk to Kola and Otamendi (or other def up to 5.6m) for free? Other defenders are Davies, Naughton and Mbemba. Could just do Alonso to Kola and leave to ft for next week...
Don't really see the point of getting rid of Alonso tbh, got just as much chance of getting a haul as any other
A) Hunemeier + B.Davies + Lukaku
or
B) S.Ward + Naughton + Kane
A) Jones, Ramsey, Rooney (or other 7.5?)
B) Cedric, Gross, Vardy
Suggestions please?
B for me
Its Cedric or Otamendi actually to choose from for that option?
Wise waiting on results and player performance in Cup before deciding on transferring IN/OUT for this gw?
E.g. LEI will be facing LIV again this weekend.
Liverpool playing reserves tonight, but makes sense to wait unless missing price drops/rises
Yeah silly not to wait
Been away all weekend....and I come back to this....
Ben Davies?!?!?! what on earth happened! I tried so hard to bring him in to my team.....
a little help?
Had a slight knock from the Chmapions league game, should be alright for the weekend
Rested. Will play this weekend.
where did you go?
the moon?
basically yeh
Eriksen + Jesus > Mkhi and Kun for -4?
Or is that too big of a sideways change
no
leave it as it is
Yes if you only use 1
Reply fail...
on Wildcard
which one is better:
A) elliot (4.0)
kolasinac jones naughton lowe mbemba
eriksen mkhi salah atsu 4.4
aguero lukaku vardy
B) fabianski elliot
kolasinac jones davies lowe mbemba
eriksen mkhi salah gross atsu
aguero lukaku hemed (ayew)
B no spurs could be painful
on A I've eriksen
on B i've eriksen and davies
Ah sorry mate . Not sure what I was thinking there or where I was looking
A looks sweet
I have 2 FTs, if I use my free hit do I still carry 2 in to next week?
be the guinea pig, go on!!
Nope
What if I make 2 transfers and THEN use my tree hit, do my transfers still register?
I wouldn't have thought so.
Order of importance ?
A Erikssen
B salah
C mkhy
D silva

g2g?
elliot
monreal otamendi davies jones
ritchie atsu eriksen
kane kaku kun(c)
terrible midfielders
very light
choose 2 fron the front 3 and get the third vardy
and spread the rest on midfielders
also downgrade monreal to 4.5 such as naughton
and cash on the midfilders
Gtg
If you're THAT certain to have the big 3 strikers- downgrade Davis & Monreal, upgrade midfield.
Too top heavy, need to downgrade 1 and upgrade midfield
Midfield is very weak, but should be fine for GW6. It's always best to have a balanced team and even if he's not the latest hot pick, just having Firmino instead of one of the 3 premium strikers up top, would do the rest of your team a big favour...and even that attack would be classified as expensive.
Otamendi gets one big haul then over 100,000 bring him in.
The same guy who averages 9 yellows a season, plays in a Pep team who look very shaky defensively and has scored his 1 goal for the season (averages 1 PL goal a season).
Surely use that David Luiz money on Kolasinac/Bellerin or Alderweireld?
Ville Ronke got him on his WC so not only casuals bringing him in.
Who?
Anyone thinking of doing;
Alonso & Firmino > Mbemba & Aguero (-4)?
i like the sound of it, might consider it myself.
Im a firm Kane non-believer (its a personal thing). So considering im Kaneless, how am I looking for GW6?
Elliot (Foster)
Davies, Kolasinac, Jones (Mbemba, Lowe)
Eriksen, Alli, Gross, Kante (Carroll)
What on earth is Kante doing there?
Not the strongest forward line.
Is Kante supposed to cover four positions in your team?
Alright, what do you guys reckon? time to bring in Sergio?
Fabianski, Elliot
Jones, Alonso, Davies, Mee, Long
Eriksen, Ritchie, Mikhtaryan, Carroll, RLC
Kane, Lukaku, Firmino
0.2 in the bank and 1 free
A) Save the free, Aguero can come in international break wildcard
B) Kane to Aguero, get it done
C) something else.....
