It seems that every Fantasy Football manager in the land is seeking counsel.

Sergio Aguero’s 20-points has caused joy and consternation – mainly the latter – and we’re all in need of reassurance and solutions. 

The ScoutCast crew are no different.

Granville, Jonty, Andy and Az join me in searching for answers, thankful for the opportunity to bounce ideas and opinion. 

Contrary to popular thinking, among the noise and chatter, we do arrive at a tentative conclusion.

All but one of us are willing to bend to Sergio’s surge in points and popularity or fall for Pep’s potential plot. We’re abstaining on the Aguero option for now and, over this 90 minutes, we’ll tell you just why.

Aguero dominates, but we have ample time to entertain other community questions, discussing Harry Kane’s latest failings, the premium defenders that warrant our trust and our cash, while Jonty is itching to take us through his handpicked bonus magnet XI.

    Brought in Vardy for Firmino and gonna captain him. Shakespeare says he is "extremely confident" he will play on Saturday, as of a day or two ago. Gotta get ahead of the curve. He must play!

        Very true, but I feel they are managing his injury for this game. Playing Liverpool twice in one week. You're right about the injury, I just look at Liverpool's defense at the moment and feel if Vardy plays, he will almost certainly score. Esp at Tuesday's game involved other strikers and a slightly different game plan. Betting against Liverpool's defense is never a bad strategy.

            Nacho, Slimani, and Okazaki all had a run mid-week against Liverpool. Ulloa is trash and didn't he come off injured? Vardy is their best striker and I just feel it may have crossed Shakespeare's mind to prioritize him for this game, assuming the injury is not that bad, which it doesn't seem to be. Truly, I hope you're wrong.

    A. Lukaku - > Aguero is a no brainer.

      B - avoid the rush. He might even score this weekend but Kane could score two. People are rushing for Aguero almost as if he might score another hat trick this weekend against Palace. It's kind of ridiculous and people are chasing points.

        I've honestly begun considering the timing of fixtures as well and the glory of watching my captain score in the final game of the day. Should've captained Lukaku last week! Captaining Vardy this week... makes for an interesting experience either way!

    Has anyone else seen on the premier league website that West Ham have beaten Spurs more than they have beaten any other team in the premier league. However, Harry Kane has scored 5 in his last 5 against West Ham. Should make for an interesting game, hard one to predict

            That looks logical right now, but I don't think it'll be that straightforward come GW7. A half-decent showing by Palace or an unimpressive United performance or some points from Kane and it's enough to plant seeds of doubt.

      No, I'd play Pope to spread / maximize points potential. If Spurs concede, you're out of luck. If not, well, you have double coverage anyway so might as well take a chance with Pope. Makes it more interesting imo.

    A couple of friends and I have set up a few 'fun' teams starting in GW3 - basically they have to be made up of players of only one nationality, so as close to national teams as possible (we've taken a few liberties with South America as a whole and Africa as a whole). Here are the standings so far, in case anyone's interested:

    1. Spain 174
    2. South America 162
    3. England 146
    4. Belgium 128
    4= Austria/Germany 128
    6. France 126
    7. Ireland 113
    8. Africa 107
    9. England B 84
    10. Balkans/Italy 74
    11. Wales 56
    12. Netherlands 50

    The surprise package was Ireland who shot to an early lead in GW3 courtesy of a Ciaran Clark captain call. Spain and South America quickly took the lead after the exploits of Aguero, Alonso, Morata and Silva.

    I'd expect Belgium and Africa to be a lot higher by the end of the season.

            Mooy and Ryan, can't think of anyone else but we still pick bench fodder players if they're the correct nationality 😀

            If we add Reid and Wood from New Zealand and the Japanese/Korean/other Asian players maybe we'd just get to 11.

            Africa doesn't have a goalkeeper for instance, and Wales only plays 9 players and 2 injured ones.

      South America was surprisingly hard because of the prices - it was impossible to have Sanchez, Aguero and Jesus all in the team at the same time because all the defenders and goalkeepers were very expensive.
