Both Liverpool and Stoke City look set to go into Gameweek 6 with a host of defensive concerns.

Meanwhile, Swansea City boss Paul Clement is mulling over a first start for Wilfried Bony for the visit of Watford to the Liberty Stadium.

Dejan Lovren is a major doubt for Liverpool’s trip to Leicester with a back problem, while Joel Matip and Emre Can are also nursing knocks, though the latter was pictured in training on Thursday. Sadio Mane serves the final fixture of his three-match suspension in the visit to the King Power. Jurgen Klopp may now be forced to field a makshift backline, with Joe Gomez retained in a central role following his EFL Cup outing and Trent Alexander-Arnold returning at right-back.

Earlier this morning, Stoke manager Mark Hughes conceded that he has a number of problems in defence ahead of the home meeting against Chelsea. Geoff Cameron and Ryan Shawcross are definitely out due to injury, Kurt Zouma is ineligible to face his parent club, while Kevin Wimmer is rated as “touch and go” after sustaining a hamstring injury. Hughes could now look to both Erik Pieters and Glen Johnson as stand-in centre-backs should he retain a three-man defence.

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement has revealed that Wilfried Bony is in contention to make his first league start of the season against Watford.

But Hornets defenders Sebastian Prodl and Younes Kaboul remain sidelined for the Liberty Stadium visit and Miguel Britos is still suspended.

Pedro Obiang and James Collins will both miss the home clash with Spurs, but Mark Noble is available again. Manuel Lanzini is back in training, but this weekend is too early for the Argentine.

Jonathan Walters is expected to miss Burnley’s home meeting with Huddersfield Town due to a knee problem.

And the Terriers will be without midfielder Danny Williams for the Turf Moor encounter due to a broken bone in his foot. Summer signing Steve Mounie misses out once again due to a heel problem, with Laurent Depoitre expected to shrug off a muscle problem to deputise up front.

Tyrone Mings has been ruled out for around two months with a back injury, but Junior Stanislas returns to contention as Bournemouth make their way to Everton.

Mauricio Pellegrino will decide today what part Virgil van Dijk will play in the home meeting with Manchester United. Matt Targett (ankle) looks set to miss out, though Charlie Austin is fit and available to challenge Shane Long for a start up front.

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Izzy Brown has returned to training this week following a hamstring injury and could be named in the squad for the home clash against Newcastle United.

Mesut Ozil looks to have a good chance of being fit for Monday night’s home fixture against West Bromwich Albion following a knee problem, but Calum Chambers and Danny Welbeck are both ruled out until after the international break.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this tomorrow’s 11.30am deadline. Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

Big changes at the top of our Live Hall of Fame.

Jay Egersdorff snatches top spot from Peter Kouwenberg (My Pretty Pony), who moves to second.

Peter, Jay and third placed Graeme Sumner (aka Gregor) are the only ones from last season’s Career Hall of Fame top five to retain that status.

Ville Ronka moves back into the top ten….and a certain Torres Magic is edging closer to the top ten.

Members can see where they are here http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/hall-of-fame/live/

The career hall of fame is available to all and available here http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/hall-of-fame/career/

Given Jay was the only Career Hall of Fame top five not to wildcard ahead of Gameweek 4 and Ville Ronka is back into the top ten – does this indicate that patience is a virtue this season?

Sorry if I have asked before Jonty but what is the criterion for consideration? Is it just being a member of the FFS league on FPL?

I've gone from top 30 to top 400 in a season....its very easy to shoot up and also slide down the rankings as its weighting is based heavily on the most recent season.

Palace going to park the bus against City ... maybe not the goal fest that many expect.

Chelsea are against a depleted Stoke defence and Leicester must be eyeing a good run out against a similarly injury hit Liverpool defence

Morata and Vardy to out score Kun ?

Stoke look especially frail with many of the defenders injured. I can see Chelsea scoring a few there.

If it turns out to be a walk in the park indeed, Morata could be subbed off early though.

Atletico away is a very difficult game, on Wednesday, and Conte knows it. + Batsman is in form

Afraid we won't know for sure that Vardy is fit today. Will be elusive - late fitness test or some sh*t like that. And he might not be 100% if he plays

I have Morata Kane Vardy... you wouldn't bring in Aguero then if you were me?

Lukaku Kane and Morata look very tempting

As a non-Kun owner I don't think I have ever been more afraid of a match-up in FPL history that Kun(c) vs. Palace.

I'm desperately hoping that I can at least cover his points by Kane-ing it but it's going to be a long old weekend. I'm sure many of us are in the same boat.

I hope for your sake that Jesus 'covers' him. Could be anyone though. Could be Sané...

Kane blanking has been the order of the day for me. In his last 4:

        Owned - blank
        Owned - blank
        Not owned - brace
        Owned - blank

I am considering charging money to bring him in/drop him as appropriate, as I am clearly jinxed.

I've toyed with the idea, but I'm saving it for a DGW or, better yet, a blank week.

I'm putting my faith in the fates and if there is a Kane/Kun reversal I'm preparing to STRUT.

a matter of time before Bony starts. Clement seems to be indicating a start this weekend. Could be a 2-striker formation, no idea.

    B:Cedric/Iwobi - Kola/Carroll 2ft(bench Carroll & JRod play Kola 4 at the back)
    C:Cedric-Monreal 1ft(save 1 ft, bench Schidler)

Hey Korb. Are you playing the Community Watch Tournament? You're in Team Hungary Neville.

Has team captain Le God been in contact with you?

Ok now so my plan has changed I have 1.2 ITB next week I will do Evans to Kolasinac which leaves me with 0.1 which will be used for Wimmer to Naughton but what if Wimmer drops? And also have to play Ben Mee next week 🙁

    Thoughts on Chris Wood?

Decent start to his Burnley career goal scoring wise, scored for fun in Leeds, seems to have the right ingredients to be a good PL scorer.
