No more no less. Three is the magic number.

In a week where we ponder shifting to a “power three” in our line-ups, the ScoutCast is reduced to its own Tri-force, as Jonty and Andy join me as part of a skeleton crew for this latest episode.

Don’t worry, somehow we still manage to string things out for 80 minutes. After all, there is much to discuss, not least the current emphasis on the big strikers and the demise of Bobby Firmino – the driving force behind my apparently ill-time Wildcard.

Talking of which, with Jonty’s own Wildcard booked in for the international break, he eagerly assesses the forthcoming “fixture swing” that promotes investment in Man City and Chelsea, among others.

Elsewhere your community questions guide us to examine the latest optimum formation and to check in with “piggy bank” Marcos Alonso’s after his cruel 58th-minute withdrawal in the Potteries.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Como se muere el Kun. No puede ser. Me jugué la wilcard la semana pasada y se lesionó Keane, Mendy y el Kun .__.

On my wildcard, would you rather have:

    A) Kane and Eriksen (no Liverpool players)

    B) Kane and Salah

Other attackers are Lukaku, Morata, Silva, Ritchie and two 4.5m mids.

Which one should out, Yoshida or Lowe? Worry with Yoshida would be benched due to VvD.

Far out, dropping like flies this gameweek.

Aguero and Jones > Cedric and Lukaku for -4?

Decent decision, but you might want to wait until Saturday morning to see who else keels over!

Wether or not Aguero is physically fit to play, he wont be in the right state of mind to play.. Surely Pep will take this into consideration and spare him for the next game to recover from the incident?

He absolutely won't play with broken bones. The only question is how long he'll be out for. Gotta be at least 7-8 weeks.

    Play Gomes or Eliot?
Fraser (dropped last game) or Carroll? Not sure what happened with Fraser....if he was dropped, or being managed after he was injured, or tactical?

      Gomes has the better fixture.
Bournemouth starting very badly so manager has to try different tactics.

Poor Aguero... Feel so sorry for the lad. Who should I bring in?

    A) Lukaku (own Kane but feel like Kaku is a better captain option this gw)
    B) Lacazette (Better fixtures than United in the next 4)
    C) Morata (Better form than laca, but not as good fixtures).

    1. Andy_Social

If you don't have Kaku, it's gotta be him v Palace.
Morata can wait until GW8 when he and Jesus will be solid options.
Laca and Kane are must-haves too, but we can't have 'em all!

Last week = Kane out - Aguero in
This week = Aguero out - Kane in for free

This was my plan & Aguero suffering injury makes it a no brainer. It's a shame I have Jones to deal with & to a lesser extent Firmino.

I already shipped out crocked Mendy, and used my 2nd FT to transfer out Jesus for Morata. Now I'll have to sit on Jones and take a hit re Kun. Messed up my transfer plans for the next 2-3 GWs too unless I WC which I didn't want to do. A mess!

      should be B
No one could replace Kaku in United for now, he is the main scorer. Arsenal could score from many players, Laca, Alexis, Giroud, Walcott.

Wow. Thats crazy about Aguero, hope he gets better soon, one of my favorite players on FPL for the last 4 years. FPL really is 30% luck, unfortunate for the managers that have him, but to those that don't, it makes things much easier.

You're right. I think for most who need to ship out Kun, they can only afford 1 transfer in a straight striker swap, but if you do have the luxury of 2 FTS, Kun and a mid for Jesus and Sterling would be gold. I'm actually looking at that in GW8 if I play my WC
