After Arsenal eased past Brighton at the Emirates, we now make our way to Merseyside as Everton welcome Burnley to Goodison Park.

The Toffees’ start to the season has been far from convincing yet they have scored seven goals in their last three home matches across all competitions.

Budget frontmen Oumar Niasse and Dominic Calvert-Lewin – at 5.0 apiece in FPL – are both handed starts but Wayne Rooney’s 11% FPL owners are left disappointed as Ronald Koeman drops him to the bench for the first time this season.

Elsewhere for the hosts, Gylfi Sigurdsson looks to stake a claim for our five-man midfields ahead of clashes with Brighton, Leicester, Watford and Palace in the next five.

But Burnley’s away form will worry the home side.

Sean Dyche’s men have claimed points on the road at Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool, with Robbie Brady and Chris Wood looking their likeliest source of attacking points.

Like their hosts, the Clarets also have fine upcoming fixtures – they entertain West Ham, Newcastle and Swansea and travel to Southampton in the subsequent five.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

All this Koeman being a bad manager talk is ridiculous. He’s been doing very well ever since he came to England and this is the only season he’s not yet getting the expected results in. It’s mostly because their fixtures so far have been by far the worst of any clubs in the league, he lost his crucial player and has to find a way to make the team gel, not to forget the Europa League and it’s concequences. All of this comes along with putting a great emphasis on their academy and giving some promising young players lots of gametime.
Talk of him getting fired is way too soon and would do no one at the club any favours.

    1. Hazz
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Whilst most of your points are valid, he has had the freedom and, with the help of the board, has splashed a massive amount of cash building his own team.

That team just has not been performing.

      1. Pariße
        9 years, 23 days ago

So far the money spent looks like what Tottenham did with Bale money, but we’ll see. I think quality had been bought, they just have to prove it now.
