It’s been quite a start to the season for Ben Davies. Currently leading all defenders in terms of points with 49 – a number which trails only Sergio Aguero and Romelu Lukaku at any position – the Welshman’s form is inarguable.

In the six matches in which he has featured (Davies was rested for Spurs’ home encounter with Swansea in Gameweek 5), he has returned an average of 8.2 points per match (ppm) – more than a point clear of his closest rival (Antonio Valencia’s 6.7).

Last season, Davies performed admirably while deputising for the injured Danny Rose – racking up a goal and three assists, in addition to his share of Spurs’ league-leading clean sheet total. However, his attacking returns this campaign (two goals, three assists) have already exceeded last season’s totals in just 30% of the minutes.

In order to better interpret this attacking leap, we’ll be breaking down Davies’ early-season heroics, and looking for players who might serve as good benchmarks for projecting the Welshman’s performance over the remainder of the campaign.

Glad to share your opinions here please.
3 top heavy upfront and 4 heavy back makes the mid line weak.
As i see though,Alonso,Davies, Kola and 3 front are season keepers.
    What would you change here?

    --Elliot
    --Alonso--Davies--Kola--Jones
    --Silva--Richie--Gross
    --Kane--Luk--Jesus
    ///Foster///Suttner///Chalobah///King

    1.0itb. Wc used.
    a) Downgrade Kola and Suttner and bring in Coutinho/Salah for Richie.
    b) upgrade Suttner to Otamendi and leave mid as it is.

    Thanks guys.

He did not do too bad he put by his standards besides the usual flapping.

You just get the feeling that he does not inspire confidence in the defenders that play in front of him which is a death nail in any teams chances of glory.

Sane until january? Most be a joke? Look at my post below. ID say C or E.. prefer E as he is cheaper and play further up the pitch

Very nice. Richarlison 2 tough fixtures so you may want to have Gross/Ritchie/Ramsey and get Richarlison in couple of weeks

        Cheers....

I'm already planning 1 transfer in advance with silva to a lpool mid in gw10....

Not sure it makes sense to plan ahead 2 transfers

And who is to say richarlison won't do well v arsenal....

Fair point could do well v Arsenal and best midfielder at that price.

    2 ft 0.4itb

    foster elliott
    3.9 mee alonso davies monreal
    tc atsu iwobi willian silva
    kane lukaku jesus

I know the midfield is really poor compared to alot of other teams, but want to keep willian as I think he should get more minutes with Morata out.

Thinking of following transfers over next 2 gws

    1. lukaku to 5.0
    2. iwobi to coutino
    3. willian to hazard
    4. alonso to luiz

    foster elliot
    3.9 mee luiz davies monreal
    tc atsu coutino haz silva
    kane jesus 5.0

Best way of sorting midfield issue, will leave around 0.6itb

Do you think Conte will bench Bat? That's the only way Willian would benefit from the Morata situation and it will be short term anyway

I'd ditch Iwobi and Willian personally
