It’s now time for our weekly Sky Sports Focus article, where we look back at last weekend’s action, before preparing you for the incoming Gameweek.

We’ll examine the recent run of Man of the Match (MoTM) awards, the bonus point beneficiaries, transfer trends and Watchlist, before moving on to the Scout team and our future plans.

Gameweek 10 Man of the Match Awards

These were the players who caught the eye of the Sky Sports reporters and earned an extra five points as a result.

FixtureMoTM
Liverpool vs Man UnitedJoe Gomez
Man City vs StokeKevin De Bruyne
Burnley vs West HamSteven Defour
Spurs vs BournemouthAsmir Begovic
Swansea vs HuddersfieldTammy Abraham
Crystal Palace vs ChelseaWilfried Zaha
Watford vs ArsenalTom Cleverley
Brighton vs EvertonAnthony Knockaert
Southampton vs NewcastleManolo Gabbiadini
Leicester vs West BromMarc Albrighton

Kevin De Bruyne picked up his third award of the season and second in as many matches. The Belgian is in the form of his life right now and, despite playing in a deeper role, could still be worth the outlay at 11.5m.

The budget-friendly Tammy Abraham (8.6m) earned his second award and continues to look great value in Swansea City’s home matches.

Sky Sports favourite Wilfried Zaha returned from his early-season injury to lead the line for Crystal Palace against Chelsea and promptly delivered a goal and MoTM award. At 9.3m, he once again looks a tempting option ahead of an extended run of favourable fixtures for Palace, particularly if he remains in the central striker role.

Gameweek 10 Bonus Points

Let’s take a look at any player to earn 11 points or more in bonus for the season

Four Man City players make the top six positions, with Fernandinho now the game’s overall bonus leader.

Here I aim to highlight a few differential players with low ownership who I think could be good options for the coming six weeks.

Notes

And so concludes possibly my worst ever Gameweek in Sky Sports.

Only Harry Kane netted more than two points after obtaining shots on target bonus. That was made all the more painful by Eden Hazard, Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah all scoring a hatful of points in Europe midweek.

Last week I said It was a risk going without Man City players and ultimately that’s what punished me. I’m now scratching my head and wondering how I can fit one of them in.

David Silva or Raheem Sterling are my preferred options due to their cheaper price points in comparison to De Bruyne and the City forwards. But I don’t want to lose any of my aforementioned midfielders or either of the highest-owned players in the game, in Kane and Romelu Lukaku.

That leaves me with Jamie Vardy, who only just came in on Monday and is required for captain cover over the next few weeks. For now, then, I’m going to have to rely on Burnley to stifle the City attack. Terrifying.

Captain Plan
Fri 20th – Suttner (whm)
Sat 21st – Lukaku (hud)
Sun 22nd – Kane (LIV)

    Chicarito -> Abraham this week?

need the $ to upgrade Atsu next week- but I could save 2 transfers- so it's all down to whether:

    A) Chico will play, as if he does surely he'll be on his own up top for 90mins?
    B) Whether he'll outscore Abraham?

Anyone who watched Everton's match last night will know that a fan being banned for life, and Everton FC being charged with crowd violence is a complete travesty of justice.
There was one person responsible for the whole melee, and one person alone, and that was Macho Man Ashley Williams. He walks away with a yellow card. Crazy.

    1. mgrea

The club should punish Williams if UEFA don't. Thuggery.

Davies will play most likely and I don;t understand why you're telling me to play Azpi if he;s not keeping clean sheet in youtr opinion.

I agree Chelsea without Kante and most likely Luiz will most likely concede so am thinking about benching Azpi this week and playing him afterwards when Kante is back.

This Lukaku love is bizarre. It's based purely on the fixture. He has no form. He played really poorly against Benfica and did zero versus Liverpool on the few occasions he did get the ball. His form has been dipping for quite a while. In the last 4-0 game at OT where he got an assist and a goal (can't remember against who) he actually played crap. No Pogba, a misfiring Mkhitaryan and a likely no Rashford do not a goal glut make.

Best captain choice this week, that's why.

Everton. When Martial plays it benefits Lukaku imo. I'm happy to keep him in my team this GW, but I'm definitely not trusting him with the armband

Yeah I'm the same as you Fulham. Considered taking a hit to Kun but will wait until next week. Lukaku is perfectly capable of milling about and a ball falling perfectly for him. Martial's form is the main reason why Lukaku is still in my team. He puts things on a plate for him, and he still cocks it up half the time.

He had zero support in both games. Jose played for a CS both times and hoped to steal a winner on the sucker punch. This will obviously not be the case tomorrow.

Of course it is purely based on the fixture. Lukaku has a bloody good record vs teams of that calibre.

In both games we set up to be solid defensively and nick a win, we won't do that against huddersfield.

I'm going with Carroll. I'm not sure if RLC will start, but maybe that's just me(e?)

I can’t afford Morata or Hazard without a -4 this week. May do one or the other but long term which looks better. I think I know the answer.

    Team:
    Fabianski, Elliott
    —, VVD, Cresswell, Mee, Dunk
    Sterling, —, Choupo-Moting, —, RLC
    Jesus, —, Kane

Gaps at minute: Alonso, Ali, Brady, Vardy.

    A. Def up to 5.8, Coutinho, Richarlison, Morata
    B. Def up to 5.9, Coutinho, Hazard, Abraham

Moves I could do this week to start this:

    A. Alonso + Vardy > Jones/Ota + Morata
    B. Ali + Vardy > Hazard + Abraham
