Saturday’s events continue with a slate consisting of five afternoon kick-offs. In Fantasy terms, the stakes could hardly be higher.

Both Manchester sides are in action, ensuring plenty of interest for the next two hours.

The Etihad Stadium is undoubtedly the focus. Manchester City are lining up Burnley as their latest prey, having fired no less than 29 goals this season with 17 arriving in their previous three home matches.

Unsurprisingly, their assets head into today’s clash backed by an army of new owners, although, innevitably, Pep Guardiola has intervened.

Both Raheem Sterling (390,000) and Gabriel Jesus (283,000) were two of the top three transfer targets prior to last night’s deadline and both are benched by the City boss.

The Brazilian is the most-captained of the pair, claiming 586,000 (11.3%) armbands, while Sterling is skippered by 111,000 (2.1%) – the first time he has appeared in the top ten options this season.

They make way as Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero come in.

The Argentine starts having been unused from the bench in City’s last two fixtures and is in sight of the clubs all-time scoring record. Aguero needs two goals to beat the milestone today and is backed by 225,000 with the captaincy.

However, United’s Romelu Lukaku is again the most popular captain pick.

The seven-goal striker has the support of 1.5 million managers (29.1%) ahead of his visit to Huddersfield Town having blanked at Anfield last time out.

Elsewhere this afternoon, Stoke host Bournemouth at the bet365 stadium, while Crystal Palace will look to build on their victory over Chelsea when they travel to Newcastle United.

Meanwhile, Tammy Abraham will seek to build on his reputation as a cut-price forward solution when he faces Leicester City at the Liberty Stadium. The Chelsea loanee has been acquired by 293,000+ managers for Gameweek 9 – second only to Sterling.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Still confident Jesus & Sterling will deliver in future - they're well worth the combined 18.4, as long as Pep doesn't bench them for next league game. If he does - then questions need to be asked

      Sterling, maybe.

For a player at Jesus or Aguero's price though you'd ideally want them to be captain options. Tricky to captain players with so much potential for being benched.

Too risky to have both - they just chipped in 1 point between them - and hit & miss is not a captain option

Early contender for rough and the smooths
    19(-4) with 3 left

    - Firmino Kola --> Morata Jones.(-4)
    - Morata 1 pointer with yc. hauled off at 60.
    - Jones innjured with another 1 pointer
    - Sterling(C) Morata(VC)
    - Suttner first sub on the bench (didnt play while brighton get cs)

To add to the misery kola and firmino haul incoming tommorow 😉

In the grand scheme of things I don't think today was actually a disaster for Kaku owners?

He was still within 2 points of Kun, matched Haz & did better than Jesus, Sterling, Silva, Morata.

It's really over to Harry Kane to see how much damage is inflicted

I second. He looked bad first half then was alive in second and that was a good assist. Not a must sell but not a bad sell if rest of team is good.

Will probably bring in for Ritchie tonight (exact money).

    Jones to Otamendi, done!
But Lukaku to Aguero or Jesus.
Aguero before his car crash played 80+ min in 5/6 games. Today 75 min and probably won't play in this midweek cup game.

Have Jesus Sterling and Sane and going to chill. 2 should play most weeks. And the points for 2 of them will beat 3 other starting players most weeks. I want another week to see what happens.
Having said that C selection will be painful.

That's the path I have chosen how many hits do I need to take to get to your suggestions.
I have Jones Alonso Davies and Cedric back line. That probably needs addressing first.

Not sure about anything, but less riskier. Jesus been playing down the left and lot of competition there

I am on Sterling and Silva at the moment and will probably leave it at that with Morata Lukaku and Kane up top

I'm looking at the free hit chip next week...

3 Spurs..2 Swansea players.. not sure about City options, or Jones. Still holding Clark.

Would help navigate a bad fixture, let me load up on Liverpool, City, and some Arsenal, Watford options and Zaha, and then I'll have 2 frees in the following week for a mini wild card (With a -4)

    Evening chaps

27 (30 after sane bps) with Forster, Cedric, Davies, Trippier, Kane to play.

Rough: Surman 2nd sub with a likely 9 pts after bps

How does that compare to you lot?

  30. Plant Based FPLer

I've sent a lot of suggestions to FPL, and if one was good, it was the one saying if your starter doesn't start, his missed minutes should be filled by what one of your subs does in that time, just like if he doesn't play at all the sub comes on. Right?
