The day’s events close at St Mary’s as Southampton host West Bromwich Albion in what, on a paper, looks to be a low impact clash for Fantasy managers.

It’s fair to say that most will be looking for clean sheets, with defenders very much the top owned assets on show.

Ahmed Hegazi is still part of 24.3 of squads despite losing almost 200,000 owners since Gameweek 5.

He is part of a West Brom backline that have kept just a single clean sheet in their last six Gameweeks. Meanwhile, Ben Foster returns from his knee injury to replace Boaz Myhill in goal – he’s still part of 14.0% of squads.

For Southampton, Ryan Bertrand remains their most popular option, owned by 10.4% of managers, with fellow full-back Cedric close behind on 9.0%.

The Saints have gone three matches without a shut-out and confidence in their defence has waned as a result, even with favourable fixtures remaining.

Instead, we may well be looking to Manolo Gabbiadini for points once more. The Italian struck a brace in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle in Gameweek 8 to revive his confidence. He has gained 50,000 new owners ahead of tonight’s encounter.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    La Liga on it's best.

    1. Barca goal. Malaga keeper rise his hands and stop playing to say that it should be a goal kick but ref didnt stopped the game and Barca scored. All Spanish footballers: Barca, Real, Malaga etc are the same - they rise their hands when they think its offside, faul etc. It's really annoing.

    2. Malaga's player hand ball. It was clear handball. Ref gave YC but all players run to the ref complaining etc. Hate this too.

    1. Nascimento
      9 years, 18 days ago

Your 1st point just reminds me of the Arsenal offside trap of the early to mid 90's which was a thing of beauty. The hands going up in unison and then the clapping of the linesman when the decision's given. For the Malaga keeper to stop playing is simply idiotic.

    2. Pariße
      9 years, 18 days ago

I can relate to the first point you made as an Arsenal fan. All defensive players are raising their hands for offsides and fouls resulting in the lack of focus and ridiculous goals.

Don't fancy Lukaku for the next couple of fixtures.

Worth taking a -4 to swap with Aguero?

Would give me Sterling, Jesus and Aguero - and leaves open the possibility of bringing Lukaku back relatively easily, if needs be.
