Pep sunk his teeth into our Gameweeks, while an old moggy took a chunk out of my partner’s arm, depriving me of my appearance on this week’s ScoutCast. I’m not sure which was more painful.

At the mercy of the local A&E, Jonty, Andy and Az became my other emergency service as they stepped up on this latest episode.

Inevitably, Guardiola’s Man City teamsheet dominates your questions and the ensuing chatter. Elsewhere the boys re-appraise Kane after his Wembley haul, revisit Liverpool with their fixtures about to swing and consider whether the heavy-hitting midfielders are poised for a renaissance ahead of Gameweek 10.

As far as I know, I’ve edited out all the “pussy” jokes.

          Aurier and Trippier will be benched in the odd game. Others too expensive to have for their returns. Hence suggested not going for 2 of them

          If you play 5 at the back I will go with Alder nad Sanchez. Both nailed and could have one or two odd goal from set pieces. Davis and Trippier have probably higher ceiling but rotation looming

      For 5 at the back, I think doubling up on Chelsea defense might work better once Kante's back.

      You may want the 2 spurs slots for attackers, while for Chelsea either Hazard or Morata should suffice.

        Got Kiko last night. Most of the goals they’ve conceded have been vs top 6 teams so fancy Silva to keep it tight at the back vs the lesser teams.

      Think long term the hit will pay off but worried about it backfiring this week.
      Although Puel’s team is not probaly going to score many goals.

      Other captain optios if I don’t get Morata are Coutinho & Jesus.

        You can wait another week, Conte did suggest after Caraboa match that Batsu has chance of starting some PL matches.

        Puel will tighten Foxes defense and invite teams on and Vardy is perfect on the counter. Never worked great for us as we never had anyone with his pace and finishing. I'm keeping Vardy.

      Word of advice to those ditching 4.5s for Richarlison. Keep TC, I now realise I will have to worry about my first bencher playing (RLC), hereby going against my policy of trying not to have a squad which induces panic before every game week.

      Is there much to differentiate Moreno and Gomez? The former seems like the worse player and more likely to have a calamitous game; the latter seems like a good chance of becoming nailed on, so long as his youth doesn't count against him. Moreno has played slightly more minutes. Gomez maybe brings a better attacking threat in corners (being 6'2").

        Moreno is the best for BPS and attacking returns in the Liverpool defence when starting. However with Liverpool's defensive form I would not consider buying either as I think Klopp will shake it up a bit after the Spurs game. Robertson got MOTM the last game he played in GW2, surely he could come in at any time?

        Steer clear of pool defence. They're awful and Moreno won't deliver fpl points imo. He never has. A couple of years ago we had this and he did naff all then.

        All good points from everyone. Liverpool are not great defensively, but a £4.5 defensive prospect at Liverpool is tempting compared with a £4.5 defensive prospect at Brighton or Newcastle, who will surely be leaky too. Thanks for pointing out Moreno's attacking up side too.
