Pep sunk his teeth into our Gameweeks, while an old moggy took a chunk out of my partner’s arm, depriving me of my appearance on this week’s ScoutCast. I’m not sure which was more painful.

At the mercy of the local A&E, Jonty, Andy and Az became my other emergency service as they stepped up on this latest episode.

Inevitably, Guardiola’s Man City teamsheet dominates your questions and the ensuing chatter. Elsewhere the boys re-appraise Kane after his Wembley haul, revisit Liverpool with their fixtures about to swing and consider whether the heavy-hitting midfielders are poised for a renaissance ahead of Gameweek 10.

As far as I know, I’ve edited out all the “pussy” jokes.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

On the RMT calculator the score over 6 Game weeks for my team has gone up from 314 to 329 in just a few days.

Anyone else noticed a jump in their RMT? Has there been a change in the algorithm?

I don't use it, but I'd hope that the changing form of teams will affect the results, no?

    Elliot, Krul
    Kola, Otamendi, Mee, Naughton, Mbemba
    Salah, Sterling*, Richie, RLC, Carroll
    Kane, Kaku, Jesus*

Worried about City and can't afford Jesus to Kun without a -8.... Any ideas?

The stats don't take into account West Ham scoring 3 goals and beating Spurs after being 2 goals down. This is a massive intangible since the result last weekend.

Neither team will probably keep a cleanie, but I think West Ham have more of a goal threat than Palace.

Over the last 2 GWs, that is.

Plus Burnley have more attacking threat at home than West Ham away.

I am not in a place where I feel Palace can be trusted. I expect Burnley to struggle offensively and West Ham to pose a danger to Palace after their Brighton embarassment last weekend. Speroni will probably get more save points, but Newcastle are more likely to keep their sheet clean.

Palace are one of only 2 teams not to concede a big chance over the last 2 GWs. Hodgson is slowly turning the ship around. This is a fascinating article on how Roy drills defensive organisation into his teams: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/sep/14/roy-hodgson-crystal-palace-perfect-manager-west-brom

If you mean the voice over bit, would have to speak to my wife though would probably be impossible to get her to do it in the same unique style that was coined. There is a longer version of the theme with slightly more music but Tom cut it down to size would have to dig it out the archives and you would need to speak to him to include it in the edit!

Very few seem to have gone up and stayed up this season, am I displaying recency bias or is there actually something in it this season? If the latter then maybe it's cause the highest point scorers this season have been Pep players ergo rotation every 3 weeks.

Tbh no-one knows what Pep will do and whoever gets it right just got lucky. So might be worth waiting as long as prices won't be an issue and making the switch next gw with more info for e.g. people might suddenly want firmino again and Jesus might not start making it an easy switch

Wow tough spot, I'd do the sterling one as it seems logical he won't play and take a hit that's likely to break even for a defender, not sure what your budget allows but consider Stones/Mee/Tarkowski/Duffy after you've done sterling to richarlison. Then get another playing def to allow you to switch back to 433 for gw11

To be honest im just gonna save and take the risk.. RLC put in a great performance midweek and should start. TAA is very likely to play the RB this week as well for two reasons. 1. Lovren playing very bad atm which means Gomez might slot in at CB. 2. If thats not the case he might still.get the nod over gomez as he is better offensively and that Huddersfield will play deep

Well 9 men isn't the worst thing in the world, I played 9 men this gw with my captain being lukaku and Kane being the highest scorer and also highly captained and still got 2 above average so isn't ideal but certainly isn't the end of the world if it does come down to that. Good luck mate.

How's this Free Hit team I'm considering?

    Pope
    Bellerin, Ward, Duffy
    San(c)hez, Salah, Sane, Coutinho, Richarlison
    Jesus, Lacazette

    Bench all fodder

Currently only Jesus and Richarlison are in my squad. Could go Morata instead of Jesus since I won't have bench backup.

I've had Bellerin for a few GWs now and he's been playing well, passing the eye test and seems more attacking than Kola. Monreal has been lucky but I wish I'd have went with him instead now as those last two 1 pointers hurt!

I had monreal to start the year for 2 games, 3 points total and swapped him out GW3. Then got Kola in when I wanted Arsenal defense, he got me 13 points in 3 games, Monreal had 23....so I feel your pain

Yeah Mou will park the bus, but his record against the top teams in 2016/17 has been poor and we know Kane's stats away from home. Along with his routing of Liverpool last time out.

Yes, Salah will get his host of chances, but as we know, he'll likely fluff half of them.

In saying that, I'm likely going to trust the Mou-bus because of its reputation and captain Salah. Higher points potential vs Huddersfield...I think. (pray, hope).

Would you get rid of Defoe for Deeney in a draft league? There's 10 in the league so Deeney seems the best available option. Defoe seems to have lost his place lately and Deeney started the last game.

If Kun starts he gets points but morata is more likely to play so risk/reward type scenario. Don't want too much risk on a free hit so might be wiser to get morata and use the extra money, would be very annoying for you if Kun is benched
