Spurs are dealt a massive blow as Harry Kane is ruled out of their trip to Manchester United. West Brom have concerns at the back ahead of a home clash with league leaders Man City, while Bournemouth have mixed news up front as Chelsea roll up to the Vitality Stadium. Here’s our round-up of the team news so far, with eleven press conferences still to come today.

Earlier this morning, Spurs confirmed that Harry Kane has a minor strain to his left hamstring after undergoing assessments.

With a Champions League clash against Real Madrid in midweek, Mauricio Pochettino admitted that his star striker will miss tomorrow’s crucial trip to Old Trafford.

“We cannot take a risk for tomorrow, we’ll see after for Wednesday (v Real Madrid). But tomorrow, it is impossible.”

Fernando Llorente or Son Heung-min will now lead the Spurs attack at Old Trafford, with Pochettino perhaps set to field a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Meanwhile, United’s first-choice centre-halves Phil Jones and Eric Bailly, along with Marcus Rashford, were all pictured back in training yesterday.

Arsene Wenger has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the home encounter against Swansea City.

Martin Olsson is almost certain to miss out for the Swans due to a hamstring injury, while Renato Sanches and Wilfried Bony remain sidelined.

James McArthur and Chung-yong Lee are both doubtful for Crystal Palace’s home fixture against West Ham United due to knocks.

Georginio Wijnaldum has recovered from a knee injury, and is fit to return for Liverpool’s home meeting with Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers’ Elias Kachunga has trained all week following a back injury, and is available for the Anfield clash. Collin Quaner has a chance of being involved after stepping up his recovery from a calf injury.

Roberto Pereyra will miss Watford’s home clash against Stoke City due to a hamstring injury, while Sebastian Prodl and Younes Kaboul remain out.

Peter Crouch (back) is a slight doubt for the Potters, while Bruno Martins Indi remains sidelined.

Tony Pulis will be without Craig Dawson (knee) and James Morrison (achilles) for the home encounter with Manchester City. Gareth Barry (hamstring) and Jonny Evans (groin) remain concerns for the Baggies.

Jermain Defoe is back in training following a hamstring injury and “should be fine” for Bournemouth’s home match with Chelsea, according to Eddie Howe. Josh King has recovered from illness but is now doubtful due to a back problem, while Ryan Fraser will be assessed after picking up a knock in midweek.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche revealed Chris Wood is “touch and go” for the Monday night meeting with Newcastle United due to a hamstring injury, but Sam Vokes could return following an abdominal strain.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this tomorrow’s 11.30am deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from today’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

The higher the hamstring injury the worse it usually is. I think Kane will be out for a while.

B closely followed by C. Id think long term, (not to mention Aguero is unlikely to start this week).

Leicester and Pool fixtures are very kind, (Vardy on pens).

    WARNING
Just read on FantasyPL (Reddit) that the Free Hit Chip does NOT cancel the hits already taken during the week.

    Can anyone confirm please?

why would it? transfers already made effect your team, the free hit is just changes for this week

Yes that is incorrect...any transfers you have done this week will be revoked and your team will return to last weeks...i have played my free hit earlier in the season and that got me out of a -12 hit hole and the mistake was undone. You can also make unlimited transfers up to the deadline so you can play about with your team all day

would u sell bavues for a hit?

becoming an expensive luxury, and ill need funds for lukaku after the break. most will take a hit this gw so a good time to take one myself and prepare for future weeks?

a downgrade to 4.5 def probably wont pay off this week but could in the long run with the extra funds

If you’ve made transfers already in a week and then use the Free Hit chip, what happens to those transfers?

I know it wipes out any hits points, but do the transfers prior to the Free Hit get reversed too?

FPL draft transactions baffle me. I failed to get a player on a waiver. Fine, someone else got him. But no, he was still available so I picked him up after the deadline on a free. Does this make any sense to anyone? Is only the first waiver request processed? I would have thought all uncontested waivers would be processed. Cheers.

Best guess is that you made multiple transactions and this waiver couldn't go through because the player you'd nominated to remove had already been removed by one of your higher priority transactions?

So if your requests were something like:

      1. Davies ➡ Otamendi
      2. Wood ➡ Abraham
      3. Davies ➡ Koscielny

Then if transaction 1 were successful transaction 3 could not take place even if nobody else bid on Koscielny because you've already removed Davies.

If not this then I'd need to see more information to have a better guess.

Already did 3 transfers, giving me 0.0 ITB and -4.

    Elliot
    Ward Cedric Duffy Davies
    Sterling Salah(C) Eriksen
    Vardy Aguero Kane*

    Foster TC Chalobah* Mbemba*

Would you still transfer Kane out, only to take him in next round? Can't justify this unless there's a forward that will guarantee 8 points minimum. I just don't see why people would do that as most probably need the FT for something else come next round.

urrently (already, phew) on a WC:

    DDG / Elliot
    Otamendi / Daniels / Ward / Duffy / [3.9]
    Salah / Sterling* / Richarlison / Gross / Carroll
    Kane* / Aguero / Morata

    A) Sterling > Sanchez & Kane > Firmino
    C) Sterling > Sanchez & Kane > Vardy
    D) Kane > Lacazette

All are short-term anyway, till Kane/whoever is back.

If on WC now, think I'd go 4-4-2 with Sanchez

    Do I wildcard?

    Elliott Foster
    Jones Davies Mee Otamendi Long
    Ritchie Salah Eriksen Sterling Caroll
    Aguero Kane Joselu

    No FTs

    Issues:
    Kane - injured
    Davies - rotation?
    Sterling - rotation?
    Aguero - rotation?
    Long - non playing
    Joselu - rubbish

    Opinions appreciated!!
