Declared fit and available for selection, I make a return to the ScoutCast after a recent hiatus. I’m also chuffed to be welcomed back into the bosom of my own home, as the winter draws in and drives me from the Scout Hut at the end of the garden.

Warming my cockles alongside Jonty and Az, the three of us are treated to another ScoutCast Wildcard, as Andy joins us and throws his selection to the cynical lions.

We use that as inspiration to answer your community questions, pondering Andy’s all-powerful front three and wondering if overlooking a budget third striker is the optimum set-up.

Staying with strikers, Romelu Lukaku’s worrisome form comes under analysis ahead of his anticipated revival and, once again, we give Harry Kane oxygen to vent further frustration following his very latest Wembley Stadium stutter.

Manchester City’s weapon(s) of choice get(s) revised before we embark on the weekend preview to exorcise the international break and lay the groundwork for a Christmas schedule of epic proportions.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Do people think Rose will be taking Trippier's Place in the starting 11 now that he's back from injury? I've got Trippier in the draft but Rose is an option to take instead.

My decision after Arsenal game but both will be rotation risks. Poch like to rotate wing backs. A very energy sucking position.

    Eriksen - Salah - Silva - RLC* - Carroll
    Kane - Lukaku - Vardy

    2. Sort Def - who to who?

I think you need to free up funds to sort out Mbemba ... by dumping Vardy or Eriksen ... you will need a full compliment of defenders over the Dec/Jan fixture congestion ... maybe do it now ?

      1. Jafooli
        • 13 Years

Agreed, reckon I can squeeze another couple of GWs out of a 14 man squad, but you're right Mbemba needs to go soon (unless a miraculous comeback šŸ˜€ )

I think I'd downgrade Vardy and upgrade your fringe defence and midfield. Start with the midfield if you're wedded to 3-4-3, or Mbemba if you don't mind going 4 at the back for a week.

    Need some advice please.

    On WC

    Morata or Lukaku?

It's doing my head in, especially if Pogba is back and Ibra (in a No10 role) coming back soon..

    WC team atm..0,1 ITB

    DDG Elliot
    Azpi Duffy Daniels Mee Moreno
    Salah Sane Sterling Richarlison RLC
    Kane Morata TammyA

If Sterling is out injured (wait for Pep presser to confirm), then may downgrade him to Fernandinho (surely nailed right?) and downgrade Azpi to 4.1m and get Kaku? However got Sterling for 7.9m a few weeks back so hesitant to sell if I have to buy him back later...he's 8.2m atm BUT I have Sane now so maybe just sell Raheem as Sane should get a lot of gametime due to Mendy out until April 2018?

    Thoughts?

Morata because he frees up funds and should outscore Lukaku in the long run. If you want Lukaku, might as well ditch Kane which I don't think you might fancy.

Lastly, Ibra - if back, wouldn't take up the 'number 10' role. He just wears the number 10 jersey. Ibra back might mean rotation between him and Lukaku unless Mou decides to play both of them upfront.

Also, you can consider Niasse instead of Tammy as 3rd striker. Offers great value at 4.9 plus frees up funds just in case you need to chip chop over the Christmas period.

I just watched a bit of a scoutcast and it could really benefit from being held over webex

You could have slides of each team, stats tables, and a much for interesting framework for the conversation

There are plans in motion to do more with the show.

We'll hopefully begin testing for 15 or so minutes after the Scoutcast in a week or so. It could be a gamechanger but lots of testing needed first!

I have Joselu to get rid of. I can't decide between going with Vardy or Abraham as the third forward.

    Foster Elliot
    Jones Stones Dunk Naughton Hunemeier
    Salah Eriksen Sterling Ritchie Carroll
    Kane Morata Joselu

    1FT, 2.8 ITB
    Suggestions?

Would not be looking to bring in Vardy at the moment. Abraham offers more flexibility, though has the tougher fixture this week.

From a squad perspective I think you could benefit from upgrading Ritchie and so I'd go with Tammy.

I just have a feeling that Vardy will be much more effective under Puel. That said, that's a lot of extra cash. I really want to get Richarlison as well. But can't have both.

Richarlison would be a great Ritchie replacement. He's looking good value at the moment. Banking on Vardy is a bit of a risk.

I would like to ship out Foster as well. Brings no value and they have horrible fixtures upcoming.

Maybe Foster to Pope, Joselu to Abraham, and Ritchie to Richarlison and Carroll to Groß? That still leaves me with 0.3 and I can switch between 3-5-2 and 3-4-3 every week.

      I’d go Abraham

I have Vardy and he’s not worth the extra IMO

That said Abraham could see some bench time in xmas

When you really need it. If this Christmas period is brutal for injuries it could come in handy.

I believe this will be my last decision on my wildcard...

    DDG Elliot
    Azpilicueta Daniels Mee Dann Moreno
    Salah Sane Richarlison ? ?
    Kane Morata Niasse

Which is the better option to fill the blanks?

    A) Ramsey & Groß
    B) Sterling & RLC

If I go for A both will go into the starting line-up most weeks with Groß occasionally dropping out for Niasse, or one of the defenders.

If I opt for B, Sterling will be in the XI but RLC will be rotated based on fixtures with Niasse, Moreno and Dann.

Torn. When I've posted about this earlier, I think I've got 50/50 answers.

Hope you can help me through this dilemma šŸ˜€

    Thoughts on this team?

    DDG
    Azpi / Mee / Duffy
Salah (vc) / Sane / Sterling / Richarlison / Gross
    Kane / Morata (c)

    Subs: Elliot; Moreno, Francis, Niasse

Personally I'd play Moreno ahead of Duffy. Hard to fault the squad generally given what we know currently - you've given yourself a chance of a great run of points, just need a bit of luck now šŸ™‚

I'd go Moreno. Less money that Fuchs and Dann for a defender you'd rarely need to play over the next few

    Cedric to..

    A) Daniels

    B) Gomez

    C) Moreno

Both teams got decent run of games, heart says Daniels but head says Liverpool defenders would be a safer option but we all know how much of a let down Liverpool can be.

No obvious problems, I'm not a Murray fan but Jonty seems to be considering him and he's a Brighton fan so there must be some merit to him.

If you have Murray -as I am considering too - you need to be able to have the flexibility of fielding 4-4-2 or 3-5-2.

I think you can just about do that most weeks.

Murray should start this Monday - but v ManU you may want to bench him , as well as Dunk - so if you are happy with RLC and Dann starting then go for it.
