Gameweek 13 gets underway at the London Stadium as West Ham entertain Leicester in David Moyes’ first home match in charge.

The Hammers’ recent home form underlines the work at hand for their new manager – over the last two in front of their own supporters, they’ve scored one goal and conceded seven.

With that in mind, it’s little wonder that – outwith the injured Chicharito (9%) – every West Ham outfield player sits in less than 2% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) squads.

We’ll be keeping an eye on our Spot the Differential candidate Manuel Lanzini, who scored in the corresponding fixture last season and also netted in the Hammers’ previous home match, against Liverpool in Gameweek 11.

While the hosts fell to defeat at Watford in Moyes’ first match in charge, their visitors have found decent form under new manager Claude Puel.

Aside from last week’s 2-0 loss to league leaders Man City, the Foxes picked up four points in the Frenchman’s first two in charge, scoring twice on both occasions.

Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy found the net in the 3-2 win away to the Hammers last term and both remain the men most likely to punish Moyes’ side.

Sitting in 4% of squads, Mahrez is certainly the form option tonight – he’d bagged two goals and three assists in four prior to last week’s clash with City.

Vardy has frustrated his 13% backers with a single goal in six, yet with the fixtures turning in Leicester’s favour once their midweek clash with Spurs passes, he could yet re-emerge as a third forward option over the festive spell.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Tammy was at over the negative threshold, but as they changed the flag (to red) he went to -60% (meaning a higher threshold). I guess the moment a player reaches the limit needed for a drop/rise any upcoming flags that day will not impact the outcome for the day - If he needs to rise he'll rise, if he needs to drop he'll drop... I guess...

FPL being vague on price change rules has screwed the attentive players yet again. Abraham sellers who didn't read the rules and had no idea that he'd be red flagged have sold him for 0.1 more than the players who studied the rules were patient.

I think we'll be fine but don't see us getting a clean sheet. I think teams are starting to realise with Salah, Mane, Firmino and Coutinho they can't park the bus anymore. I do expect Chelsea to be organised but attack us a significant amount as well. I think we'll win but by 1 goal and we'll concede.

Maybe I'm being a bit pessimistic, a 2-1 with Salah smiting his old team twice or some Coutinho magic wouldn't be surprising.

Some say attack is the best form of defence, if we have them on the ropes then they can't get at our defence. I expect us to really go at Chelsea early on, take the lead and then some dozy defending to allow Morata in for the equaliser in the second half.

The great thing about watching Pool is the way they play regardless of the opposition. However I think that Chelsea have the tools to blunt you and also the thought of Hazard from one side and Pedro from the other running at your defence ..... They could cause total havoc. Moreno get a wall infront of you.

Pedro running on the bench then? From latest team sheets it looks like Conte plays more of a 3-5-2 leaving pedro on the bench as he favours Bakayoko in the middle of the park for some reason.. (not very impressed by him, is he a footballer or a wrestler?).

Open match and as a Liverpool supporter i´m excited and i see both strenghts and weaknesess in both teams that can decide this game, Moreno might get in trouble as you say, but so does Alonso/Cahill vs Salah and the one that plays Rwb vs Mané... Like Fabregas can put Liverpool defence in trouble with his clever passes, he can also be overrunned by Henderson and Wijnaldum, as Bakayoko can outmuscle Coutinho he could also be a lamp post firmly footed in the ground as Coutinho wrinkles away.

Really need Sane to pull it out the bag and Kane to either blank or not do much as top 3 guys in my mini league that I'm chasing (they're all coincidentally brothers...) all captained Kane (well one captained Aguero with Kane vice). So this could be huge or it could be a massive failure.

Watching Andy Carroll tonight you haven't seen that arm in someone's face or him dominating the centre backs early and I don't know if that was on the back of what went on at Watford with David Moyes having to bring him off the pitch. It maybe he's had to reign himself in and maybe that's why he's not been as effective but you can't go around whacking people in the face otherwise you're going to be down to 10 men, but he's certainly not been the rampaging Andy Carroll thatt you normally see.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

Yeah trying to build something semi-fixture proof. Somehow I always end up playing 1 up front. Allows for (close to) premiums in every other position. Obviously some weeks you get nailed, but not as often as you'd think.

I get your drift. 3 Chelsea defs over the next GW's will bring in shit loads of points. Problem is balance elsewhere and a crap bench. Love 3 of your mids but bench is balls.

Yeah it's the bare minimum really. I had Richarlison and then Tammy on it a few rounds ago, but I couldn't bare to look at all of the cash sitting there. Niasse came in pretty handy last week for Jones though...

Could look at Silva for Sterling if rotation becomes a major issue again and Silva starts delivering on the promised hauls.

Before the round started I was on 180k. I was around 64k after round 10 (peaked at 27k), but then got bored and started taking a ridiculous number of hits for aesthetics's sake (28, 8 and 12 this round). So really hoping I can keep my finger off the trigger for a while now.

Last year I ended up finishing around 130k, which was my best rank and almost a miracle after throwing my toys and taking at 80 point hit earlier in the season...

To be fair to the West Ham supporters I was thinking this before the game that that place could turn toxic if there was an early goal for Leicester and Leicester did get that goal and it didn't turn like that but the West Ham fans have tried to lift the place, lift their own players, trief to enjoy themselves in that new stadium and that's what we haven't seen enough of from those fans. But that comes from performances and results.

Can’t wait for Hazard to start trolling owners!

Around the same time last year he had his 18 point haul against Everton and after everyone jumped on him and sold Sanchez I’m sure they remember what happened.

Going to ride the wave without him so much value in Salah & Sane with Alli, Eriksen, Coutinho, Mane, Silva & Pogba all viable options looking at the fixtures.

the first bit is just some really some awful reasoning to avoid hazard.

just say that u cant afford him and think your slightly cheaper mids can match him for points. nothing wrong with that. i Cant afford sane right now but not going to come up with strange logics to convince myself he will fail, because he wont

      1. Karan_G14

I can definitely afford him if I don’t get Alonso. But that’s my point he’s not worth that much when all these other mids are more or less going to match him for less money.

He is the biggest “FPL Troll”. Don’t know if you were an active poster last year but if you were you would know how people got frustrated owning him.

so youve gone from hazard will fail and troll to hazard will match those mids for points.

i fancy hazard to explode vs swansea and newcastle but let's see what happens

Hazard finished with 225 points last season. Think that was 1 point less than Alli or 5-6 more that Eriksen.

If Hazard doesn’t get more points than these mids is it a success?

It’s basically paying 2m more for the same points.

And the 2m is the difference between owning Alonso or 5m defender. Which is a huge difference in itself.

Mate you’re just trying to compare your Hazard 4 weeks back to these players. I haven’t said once it was a bad decision getting him at that time. But the same happened last year after he had 4 excellent weeks everyone jumped on him and he was the biggest troll.

Congrats that you got him 4 weeks ago! Youve probaly got his best points run this season. (That’s what I’ve been trying to say)

Ok, I get what your trying to say but wishing poor performances on managers is not the friendliest thing to do.

Im well aware of the article last season that proved Haz was the biggest fantasy troll of all but in the last 2 away games he has 3 goals and an assist so you can't base all your views on last season cause clearly something is a little different this season. Such as his role alongside Morata. If this continues then I won't be selling anytime soon if I don't see the obvious elsewhere.

There's potential for their to be better value but going off the last 4 weeks, he's been the best value

Because he wasnt playing as a 10 back then.
I had repeatedly said, Haz plays deep in a 343.
Since Chelsea have been playing 352, Haz has been great.
Back then too when he scored a brace in UCL, Chelsea opted for 352 and then played 343 in the PL.
Only Salah has had more shots on target in the last 4 games.
Lets see how you resist getting him in after his exploits in the 2 home games after Pool 😉

He played 343 all through last season and still scored 225 points so it’s not like he can’t play in that position. Let’s see by how many points he outscores these other mids.

              You keep saying 2m, 2-2.5m.
Mane and Salah were only 1m cheaper at the start of the season.

              Coutinho 1.7 currently.

Erik and Alli 1m at the start

Silva/Pogba 2.5m yes but not all of them

So by saying other mids, are you just talking about Sané, Pogba and Silva?

Salah was 1.5m cheaper & Sane was 2m cheaper. That’s a lot of money.

Also Spurs have played Pool, Arsenal & United in the last 4-5 matches. On current form you’re obviously targeting Alli & Eriksen for everything I say but wait for a couple of weeks mate!

Salah was 9m yes, sorry. But I own Salah and Sané and Hazard.
And no I'm not targeting Alli and Erik but you compared Hazards score last season to theirs and then I said that these 2 were only a million cheaper at the start of the season cause your throwing figures like 2 and 2.5m around

Dude you have to get understand what I’m trying to say. 4 weeks ago you won’t have got Pogba, Cout, Mane, Alli & Erik because they had tough fixtures or they were injured.

Again I will repeat congrats you got him 4 weeks ago but I’m talking about the future. And if you read my reply above you would understand what time trying to say.

Let’s who comes out on top from here on.
Hazard vs Alli, Eriksen, Mane, Cout, Pogba & Silva + the money saved.
I’m pretty sure most of them will outscore Hazard for points per million.

Not counting Salah & Sane as they are anyways better options.

Owned him for 4 weeks in which he delivered 2 double digit hauls.

Sold him yesterday before the deadline and I'm feeling pretty good about it.

Below was my explanation on one of the earlier posts on whether or not one should own Hazard:

I want Morata after the Pool game and I don't want a Chelsea double up worth more than 21m.

Who offers better value? Despite not owning him right now, I feel it's Morata long term. With the uncertainty around Jesus and Kun, Kane's impotency at Wembley, Lukaku's inconsistency - Morata just looks like a no brainer.

On the other hand, midfield options are flourishing. Plenty of roses to choose from, at a lesser price.

I have my own reasons as listed above for letting go of Hazard and buying Morata after the Pool fixture. But that doesn't mean I don't rate him as an FPL asset. For me, both are gonna deliver exceptional results but I'm unsure if I want to double up which means I've decided to go for Morata because of lack of consistent options upfront.

Would you prefer Alonso Azip and Morata?

I like Azpi + Morata. Not many might like this but Fabregas as the 3rd option might be good if you intend on a triple up.

He's been getting inside the box more often in the 3-5-2, has been creating more chances and is priced at measly 6.9m.

This is my thinking and is why I brought Azpi in last night instead of Hazard.Means I have Azpi Hazard Morata and Mane in the spot where Hazard would've been.21 million to much to have in one Chelsea basket and Mane Sane Ricky Zaha giving to much value in comparison to ditch.Didnt want to sell any of those.
Having said that Hazard has been outstanding these last few games I fully expect him to rip it up over Nov Dec. My squad is more balanced without him though.

Alli had 3 goals same time last year. We all know what happened after that.

That's last year man. Look at Sanchez this season. Look at the way Spurs are playing this season. Look at the way Pogba is playing this season.

I WC'd gw8, brought in Hazard as a placeholder for all the mids you've mentioned above. If over the next 3/4 I see better value in Coutinho or Pogba (own Sané and Salah) then I'll ship him out to one of them. The fact is, Hazard has been my best player the last 4 weeks. Pogba has been injured and so was Coutinho for part of it. I will have no hesitation in dropping Haz when i feel the time is right but for the next 3/4 games I'm happy to own him at the moment. Just cause you didn't own him for the past 4, don't try to make it out like bringing him in on my WC was a poor decision

When did I say bringing him on your wildcard was a poor decision? Great job you got him.

But the fact is that even you won’t hesitate selling him if one other mid out of Mane, Cout, Alli, Eriksen, Pogba etc start performing. Not counting Salah & Sane as I think you probably own them.

Of course I won't hesitate. But why come out with stupid comments saying you can't wait for him to troll me when he's been the star in my team the last 4 weeks and I'll be just as happy to sell for Cout or Pogba as you are to not own him now.

I'll actually be happier cause Salah Sané and Hazard have outscored and combination of 3 mids over the past 4 weeks

I think you’ve started taking this post personally. I don’t mean to offend any Hazard owners.

I’ve actually seen so many people sell Hazard before that Bournemouth game and now they are dying to get him back.

And obviously as a Non Hazard owner I wish that he doesn’t score points.

Not sure which manager would want the players he doesn’t own to do week.

I just thought it was a derogatory post. Like me coming out and saying, I hope DeGea starts punishing owners by conceding without Phil Jones in the side.

So much value from Pope this season, why would anyone want to spend an extra million on a goalkeeper.

Anyway, we'll see how it all unfolds. In the next few weeks if Hazards form doesn't keep up, I will be shipping him to Pogba or Coutinho and upgrading a defender to Alonso most likely because it is better value but until Pogba or Coutinho make a clear case for me, Hazard stays.

Goodluck btw, I will be hoping Hazard trolls non owners however 😉

It definitely is and those who owned for the past 3-4 weeks it was great for them.

My point is I think other mids will now outscore him for points per million. And that money saved by owning the cheaper mids let me afford Alonso over a 4.5-5.5m defender.
