Welcome to the latest Community Watch tournament update.

Matchweek 7 matches were played over Gameweek 13 and proved to be the most thrilling set of fixtures so far in the tournament.

Matchweek 7 Review

Full results can be found here.

Mozambique continue to dominate with another easy win, this time beating Mbokani Faso 460-401. This victory took the Piquer’s to 18 points, with Mbokani Faso staying on nine.

Fashanu Zealand take second place after thrashing Bolivia Giroud 482-398, which also proved to be the highest win margin of the week. This is significant as it had a major impact on the score differences for both teams. Fashanu Zealand now have a goal difference of 237, best among all teams. Bolivia are on -211, the worst of all teams.

Matagascar had to face another loss, beaten 494-415 by Ibeland. There was nothing much Matagascar could’ve done, as Ibeland’s 494 was the highest total score among all teams.

Match week 7 also saw some closely fought matches. Sane’s yellow after the final whistle meant Cech Republic lost their match against Salahmon Islands by three points. Balegium vs Reussia also went down to the wire, with Otamendi’s go, Arsenal’s late winner at Turf Moor sealing Reussia’s win.

Emre Canada’s single point win over Kenyaya was the closest of all games, with Emre Canada making a late comeback on Sunday.

Blindia vs Germane was another close contest as Blindia managed to beat Germane by 10 points. This win breaks a three match losing streak for the Blindians.

Hungary Neville came up with another convincing performance, beating Grabbangladesh by nine points. Afghanistanislas are third in the league table after their 436-430 win over Georgia Boyd.

Matchweek 7 Awards will be announced in the next article.

The Salahmon Island’s team are all (well, most of them) relaxing in deckchairs on the roof of the most expensive Green Windmill in the world, watching the clouds and the occasional seagull fly past. Boris takes another a sip of his mojito, and tries to keep his mind off of their fast approaching match against Germané. How they had pulled off their win against the Cech’s was still a mystery to him, as was where they had disappeared to. Boris stands up and walks over to the edge of the roof, and looks down to see The Pep Revolution and rjcv177 rowing their canoe through the ocean miles below, trying to keep up with them. “PUT YOUR BACKS INTO IT LADS!”, shouts Boris, as the wind flies through his long golden locks….

    [The Day Before]
The morning after the match, all that was left of the Cech Republic team was a note in JoiceJoseph177’s beach hut, congratulating the islanders on their close victory and informing them that they had a surprise waiting for them at the Green Windmill. This caused a bit of a stir and all the islanders had gathered at the windmill to see the surprise, but with no obvious sign of anything out of the ordinary a search began to find the hidden treasure. Hours and hours went by but still the gift was nowhere to be seen. One by one the islanders gave up and went to the beach instead to prepare their canoes for the long trip to Germané, which would see them barely arrive in time for their match. Only Boris, Lord and Sune were left and they all agreed to stop searching and go up for a quick guinness & black in his office before they began their long journey across the ocean. “Bit of a nasty thing to do, getting our hopes up an’ all that?”, moans Boris, “it wasn’t like we won dishonestly or anything?”. “Well, Knuckles did drink that Red Bull before kick-off…”, says Lord. “And unitednations drank an entire barrel of Kava as well”, added Sune, “although whether or not that helped him score those ten goals, I’ve no idea”. Perhaps, thought Boris, the Cechs had left a little disgruntled, but a win was a win, and his thoughts began to drift towards their next match as his eyes wondered to his office windows, overlooking the beach through the sails of the windmill. It was then that he saw the note, and the new addition to his office behind the desk that no one had noticed, that the note was attached to.

The note read, “Do you believe you can fly, Boris Bodega?”, and he remembered the Cech’s national anthem that had blasted out of their airship when the Cechs had arrived. He moved his old wooden desk and there stood a large wooden steering wheel, the kind you would see on an old wooden ship. In the middle of the wheel was a large, red metal button that screamed ‘push me’. “Boss, I’m not sure you should”, warned Sune, as Boris started to stretch out his hand. “It’s a trap, bold leader, don’t do it!!”, as Boris extended his index finger. With no control over this mad compulsion, Boris felt his finger push and instantly the GreenWindmill started shaking as though a massive engine had just been started. From somewhere the song “I believe I can fly’ started blaring out. ----“I used to think that I could not go oooon….”---- a loud ‘CLANG’ sounded from the roof, and all three of them ran up the stairs to see what was happening. ----“And life was nothing but an awful soooong…”---- from nowhere, two sail like wings had appeared either side of the Green Windmill, and a humungous blimp attached by steel wires was floating high above their heads tugging the Windmill upwards. ----“If I can see it, then I can doooo it….”---- Lord, who seemed to realise what was happening before anyone else did, started screaming for everyone to get on board. ----“If I just believe it, there’s nothing toooo it….”---- “WE’RE TAKING OFF!”’ he cried, gesticulating to everyone to get inside the windmill quickly. ----“I believe I can flyyyy….”---- the windmill lurched skywards, and Boris ran back downstairs to his office to take hold of the wheel. The X shaped sails of the windmill were now acting as a propeller, and Boris started steering the windmill through the skies onwards towards Germané and, perhaps, another victory. ’Thank you JoiceJoseph177’, whispers Boris to himself, unaware that two of his team hadn’t made it onto the windmill before take-off. How would they make it to Germané in time….? Could they beat ze Germanés…? At least Salahmon Islands would make an entrance the Germanés would never forget.

            Germané vs Salahmon Islands update

Germané lead by 15 points and have 27 differentials left -
            Hazard x 6
            Pope x 4
            Alonso x 4
            Otamendi x 3
            Mee x 3
            Ward x 2
            Salah x 1
            Sane x 1
            Wilson x 1
            Bellerin x 1
            Calvert Lewin x 1

Salahmon Islands also have 27 differentials left -
            Daniels x 4
            Morata x 3
            Kolasinac x 2
            Silva x 2
            Azpil x 2
            Surman x 2
            Sterling x 1
            Ramsey x 1
            King x 1
            Begovic x 1
            Choup x 1
            Monreal x 1
            Walker x 1
            Abraham x 1
            Coutinho x 1
            Naughton x 1
            Carroll x 1
            Jesus x 1

Too close to call, but a Hazard blank and a Morata goal (or two) could level things up for the Salahmon islanders....

If Burnley can keep Bournemouth dry then we are doomed (too many CSs for them)

So....if Bournemouth both score and keep a clean sheet, Arsenal keep a clean sheet, and both Chelsea and City concede at least one goal....we should be laughing! And a Daniels goal would also be nice!

              Mbokani + 2 points

              Pope, Begovic

              Otamendi x 3, Alonso x 4, Mee x 2, Gomez x 2, Moreno, Monreal, Francis

              Salah x 2

              Jesus x 3, Morata, DCL
              ----------------------------------------

              Pickford

Messidonia could be in a mess.
Azpilicueto, David_Silva, Hazard and Salah are on the bench and they were all differentials in Messidonia's favour.
Our big miss is Sane but we do have Stirling.

I'm really not sure, will have to wait until game updates as so many Sane and Azpi autosubs but I think that last gasp Sterling G, KDB A (and the Pickford pen save) has given us the win by just a few points. Not sure at all yet though.

I have you 26 ahead but I could be completely wrong. It was really close before that City winner.

Good Rhinos (c) pick with Sanchez (c), KDB and Kola - well played.

I don't have Salah so it was doubly painful. Luckily Stirling did come through for us. Messidonia will get quite a few substitutions but I think we are far enough ahead. I think you may have to drop me next week. Well done on your captain choice.

I'm not able to work it out but it sounds right.
Hopefully we'll become a team to be reckoned with.

Prior to this week's match, both the Cech Republic and Grabbangladesh teams had scored 3239 points. It should be a close one.

Congratulations to ze Germanés - not exactly sure what the scores are but pretty sure you beat by a good 15-20 points, and had Burnley kept a clean sheet you would have absolutely spanked us! We go back to our islands with our tail between our legs to regroup...

                      Congrats to Cech Republic!

Bit annoying seeing the scores as we would have beaten 8 of the teams with our score (and drawn another) but we remain rooted to the bottom of the league

PS good work getting the scores out quickly, credit where credit is due!
