Next up, we bring you news of another big-money contest from our partner game Yahoo.

They are offering a bumper Premier League £4k Wednesday contest which takes in all six of this evening’s top-flight fixtures.

The contest is guaranteed to run, costs £5 to enter and is a multi-entry game, which means you can select up to nine teams. The top 200 places pay out and there’s a minimum win-back of £10, with £400 going to the first place.

Driven by Opta data, the Yahoo game has a scoring system that is ideal for members of our community on the lookout for a Daily Fantasy Sports game.

New players can sign up and claim a free £50 in credit to your account when you deposit just £5. Promo code: Fantasy50.

Also, a reminder to check out our Strategy Guide before picking your starting line-up, as this gives you a better idea of the mechanics of the Yahoo game and those players in line to benefit.

FFS Strongest XI

Thibaut Courtois – £16
Marcos Alonso – £16
Sead Kolasinac – £15
Vincent Kompany – £14
Arthur Masuaku – £12
Eden Hazard – £23
Sadio Mane – £21
Bernardo Silva – £15
Eric Choupo-Moting – £17
Mohamed Salah – £27
Alexis Sanchez – £24

We ‘re opting for Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois between the posts at home to a Swansea City side that have scored just three times on their travels this season. The recent return of N’Golo Kante has boosted the Blues’ clean sheet potential – they have conceded just three goals in the Frenchman’s last eight league appearances. Courtois also benefits from the Yahoo scoring system, as goalkeepers earn double the number of points as defenders for a clean sheet, as well as points for wins or draws.

Marcos Alonso also comes in as we double up on the Chelsea defence. With the visitors’ top scorer Tammy Abraham ineligible to play against his parent club, Antonio Conte’s side look well on course to claim a sixth clean sheet of the season. The number one defender for shots (21), efforts on target (six) and goals (three), the left wing-back’s prospects are boosted by Swansea’s weak right flank – Paul Clement’s side sit second bottom for chances conceded (61) and crosses conceded (153) down that side of the pitch.

The home form of Sead Kolasinac is too good to ignore as Arsenal welcome Huddersfield to the Emirates. In front of his own supporters, the Gunners’ summer signing has produced a goal, three assists and four clean sheets in just six appearances. Given that the Terriers have failed to score in their last five road trips, he looks poised for further points this evening.

Priced at £14 to team-mate Nicolas Otamendi’s £16, Vincent Kompany offers a budget-friendly route into Manchester City’s defence for the visit of Southampton. At home, the league leaders only have three clean sheets in six, yet they have allowed fewer shots (36) than any side. Up against a Saints outfit with three away strikes to their name, another shut-out seems likely. If Pep Guardiola opts against handing Kompany a third straight league start, Eliaquim Mangala is identically priced to the Belgian.

We’re also drafting in West Ham’s Arthur Masuaku as David Moyes returns to former club Everton tonight. Costing just £12 and fielded on the left wing against Leicester City last time out, the Frenchman looks a very handy budget out-of-position option. Masuaku has only started three times this term, but has averaged 5.6 Yahoo points when named on the Hammers’ teamsheet, despite conceding eight goals in those fixtures. He supplied more crosses (eight) than any team-mate against the Foxes and has already delivered two assists.

Eden Hazard is our preferred Chelsea attacker for the Swansea encounter. The Belgian comes in slightly cheaper (£23 to £24) than his team-mate Alvaro Morata and has bettered him for both shots on target (nine to six) and goals (three to two) over the previous four Gameweeks. No player has created more chances than Hazard’s 12 over that period, highlighting his potential for assists against the Swans.

Handed just a single minute off the bench against Chelsea on Saturday, Sadio Mane looks set to return to Liverpool’s XI for the visit to Stoke City. Although he’s only scored three times this season, Mane’s impact has been dented by injuries – assessed against last term, his minutes per shot (from 39.3 to 30.4) have improved, while his minutes per goal (172.3) is exactly the same. The Senegal international has a goal and two assists in his previous two away matches in all competitions ahead of the trip to the bet365.

We’re taking a punt on Bernardo Silva for Manchester City’s home match with Southampton. As the winter schedule accelerates, Pep Guardiola may well freshen up his options this evening and turn to the summer signing from Monaco, who has played just nine minutes in the last three Gameweeks. Silva has a goal and assist in 120 minutes over his previous three at the Etihad and faces a defence with a single clean sheet in eight.

Listed as a midfielder in Yahoo, Stoke’s Eric Choupo-Moting continues to be stationed up front by manager Mark Hughes. The Cameroon international sits fourth overall for shots inside the box (19) in front of his own supporters and has produced two goals and three assists in his previous five at the bet365. Choupo-Moting entertains a Liverpool side that have conceded 16 times on the road – that’s the joint-worst away defence in the league.

With more shots (18) and efforts on target (10) than any player over the previous four Gameweeks, Liverpool’s in-form Mohamed Salah looks set to torment Stoke’s porous defence. The Egyptian struck his tenth goal of the season against Chelsea last weekend and now goes head-to-head with a side that are conceding an average of two goals per league match. The Potters have allowed 22 chances down their left at home – second only to Watford (23) in fewer matches – which only strengthens Salah’s prospects on the Reds’ right flank.

Alexis Sanchez completes our line-up for Arsenal’s home clash with Huddersfield. Three goals in his last five suggests that the Chilean is finally back in form as he looks to continue a remarkable scoring record that has harvested 17 goals in 18 appearances against newly-promoted clubs. David Wagner’s side have shipped nine goals in their last three road trips, which included visits to Swansea and Bournemouth.

As Yahoo allows late swaps up until each kick-off, our listed line-up may well be subject to change as rest and rotation start to come into play.

This Evening’s Contests

In addition to the Premier League £4k Wednesday contest, Yahoo also have a Premier League £1k Wednesday contest on offer.

The latter contest is also guaranteed to run, costs £10 to enter and is a single-entry game. The top 27 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £20, with £150 going to the first place.

Yahoo are running a Premier League £1,000,000 Perfect Lineup Cup, which takes place over Gameweek 1-19.

It’s free to enter, with £500 in prizes and £50 for the best team every week. Over the 19 Gameweeks, there’s £40k in prizes on offer, with £30k shared among the top 5,000 and £10k going to the winner.

The Yahoo Cup also has a “£1,000,000 challenge”, which gives away £1m to any user who selects the perfect line-up in any given Gameweek to score the maximum possible points.

You can open an account and get started immediately.

If you register and deposit £5 or more, Yahoo will also give you a £50 bonus to be used as cash to enter paid contests.

Wow I usually am a very concervative fpl manager as I did not take -8 hit even once last season...but now I felt that no Salah was hurting too much, couldn't trust Pep with Jesus anymore and wanted Morata also in before I was priced out of those two. Also Leicester and Vardy were looking quite bad. It felt like a good time for restructuring the team and getting third big mid in by downgrading Vardy..feeling really stupid now after the first -8 hit for almost one and a half season 🙁

Vardy, Jesus & Choupo -> Morata, Niasse & Salah for -8. AND I thought I was ok with Niasse not playing this week as I had a quite good bench LOL.

To be fair, those were long-term moves and will hopefully pay off in next few weeks.

Cheers mate. I'll look it like that and on long-term 🙂 maybe it was a slight mistake not to notice the increased risks because of rotation. However could be positive moves on long haul as I have now the players I wanted

Azpi (C)- chosen as safe option over Morata, Salah, Elliot

    Delli Alli (VC).

    Doubt that can be topped.

With the amount of players benched/rested in my team, think I'll be lucky to cross 20 points this gameweek.

Own Hazard, Salah, Silva, Sane, Dann (who was dropped as well). Worst, sold Aguero only last week and now Pep decides to start them both together. Pffffffff.

Captain Salah and Azpi (brought in for a hit) not starting, but sounds like I got off reasonably lightly. Morata VC, Moreno first and Dunk second on bench so will have a full team at least 🙂
We knew rotation was likely but this is amazing 😆

Too early to be disappointed. Salah flying for 20-30 mins against tired stoke defense should be too hot to handle. High probability of atleast some attacking returns, if he comes on.
