The curtain falls on Gameweek 18 under the lights of Goodison Park, as a rejuvenated Everton take on an ailing Swansea City.

In Fantasy terms, the focus is quite definitely on the home side and, in particular, their two strikers.

Against the odds, Wayne Rooney is currently revived as a Fantasy option. Perhaps benefitting from the malaise suffered by the premium-priced forward options, Rooney’s 7.5 price tag has attracted over 271,000 new owners ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

Rooney goes into tonight’s contest on the back of five goals and an assist from his last four Gameweeks – all from a No 10 role behind lone striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The 20-year-old is also a factor in tonight’s match. Backed by over 80,000 new owners and now in 560,000 squads, Calvert-Lewin will bid to further his CV as our third striker “enabler”. He boasts three assists and a goal from his last five Gameweek starts.

But with three clean sheets from their last four Gameweeks, the Toffees defence also demands attention.

In particular, both goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and right-back Jonjoe Kenny will be auditioning for further transfer attention tonight. They were signed by 21,000+ and 62000+ ahead of Swansea’s visit in anticipation of yet another shut-out.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Zanka or Schindler? Or someone else?

Have Mee, Masuaku, Jones, Duffy and Kiko atm - shipping Kiko 🙂

I would save transfer unless you already have 2 FT. Kiko not ruled out long term to my knowledge and still good fixtures. I bought at 4.5 so can absorb one drop as he is 4.6 and he has Brighton (a), Leicester (H), Swansea (H) in next 3. Even if he misses Brighton, I would play him in those next two before selling him for a DGW player in GW22 as he faces City.

Your back three is great Jones Masuaku and Duffy or Mee that I would personally hold.

Zanka saves .1 and has better goal threat. Schindler has better BPS baseline and assist potential. Not much in it, to be honest. I'd go Zanka if the .1 is important, otherwise, I think Schindler is the slightly better option. He has fewer points because he has played slightly less.

Which one looks best? I'm leaning towards C

    A) Kiko to Masuaku
    B) Kiko to Ogbonna
    C) Save (Morata and RLC to DCL and Pogba/Coutinho for free next week)

    Hennessey
    Christensen / Jones / Mee
    Hazard / Salah / Sterling / Richalison
    Kane / Morata / Austin

    Speroni / RLC / Kiko / Kenny

    1ft, £.6itb

        As a manager....

I've wrote before that a striker's job is to aim for the post to take the keeper, out of the game...always aim for the post...Most people aim for a place half way between the keeper and the post which gives the keeper a chance...bad decision...

A very, very big player once gave me that advice and if you watch his great goals you can see him doing it...

            • 13 Years
            8 years, 3 months ago

            No..post...

Take the keeper out the game and you have a 50/50 chance of it going in...apart from the odd one that actually hits it. As soon as you start the "just inside the post lark you compromise taking the keeper, out the game...

Receive the ball decide which post and totally ignore the keeper...in effect...try it...

    Thoughts on:

    Mustafi/Gomez/Richarlison/Lacazette -> Smalling/Ogbonna/KdB/Rooney (-12)?

    Pros:
    - Utd Defender
    - West Ham Def for the DGW
    - Power 5 midfield of KDB, Salah, Silva, Sterling, Hazard
    - Rooney before price rise (only way I can afford)

    Cons:
    - 12

    Monreal. Keep or sell?

Fixtures not easy and could do with some extra cash by downgrading.

I know lots of people did amazing this week getting 80's, but DCL and Fabianski have saved my team from a 34 pointer horror show, to what looks something like 55 points! First time I've done awful and still felt good about it 🙂

All this Kane hate is hillarious.

People seem to forget, he is most likely the most nailed attacker in the league and has zero realistic competition. The fact he is in bad form and STILL isn't being benched just shows why we pay his price.

He is one brace away from everyone changing their mind again.

I agree he has been disapointing this season but I still prefer him from boring 1 goal Lukaku.

    15,5,8,8,13.

Weird how some band-wagons are jumped on whilst others are not.

Rooney tearing it up at the moment.

That's why I'm seriously considering -8 to get him in for Niasse. Not worried about the points hit. Just been passed by Rooney C rival in ML by 1pt and would pay the price for cover. Rest of his team is shocking

Chelsea, Man U and Spurs in the next 5 is the answer to that.
