The curtain falls on Gameweek 18 under the lights of Goodison Park, as a rejuvenated Everton take on an ailing Swansea City.

In Fantasy terms, the focus is quite definitely on the home side and, in particular, their two strikers.

Against the odds, Wayne Rooney is currently revived as a Fantasy option. Perhaps benefitting from the malaise suffered by the premium-priced forward options, Rooney’s 7.5 price tag has attracted over 271,000 new owners ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

Rooney goes into tonight’s contest on the back of five goals and an assist from his last four Gameweeks – all from a No 10 role behind lone striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The 20-year-old is also a factor in tonight’s match. Backed by over 80,000 new owners and now in 560,000 squads, Calvert-Lewin will bid to further his CV as our third striker “enabler”. He boasts three assists and a goal from his last five Gameweek starts.

But with three clean sheets from their last four Gameweeks, the Toffees defence also demands attention.

In particular, both goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and right-back Jonjoe Kenny will be auditioning for further transfer attention tonight. They were signed by 21,000+ and 62000+ ahead of Swansea’s visit in anticipation of yet another shut-out.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is Ogbonna and Masuaku both nailed?

Seeing as DCL is out of my price range, thoughts on Depoitre at 5.2 to rotate with RLC?

In that case, maybe, Huddersfield have decent fixtures, but Depoitre's recent goals will probably prove more of an anomaly than anything else. Do you actually believe he's good or is he just the best available option?

Hes decent, but i agree he will never be prolific, i just want a 3rd striker whos playing, and as you said, hes the best option :/

I'm not sure. 3 transfers means -4 as a minimum. None of the players coming in strike me as great. I would do each part individually over the weeks if I were you.

A real stellar performance tonight against Swansea

Missed a penalty, still got an assist for it
Passed to Gylfi way out on the wing who cuts inside and curls one in from 30 yards, hard earned assist
      Scores a penalty

Rooney's a joke and flattering to deceive in terms of FPL

Really enjoying the Scoutcast with Jay tonight. I have paused it to highlight a comment he made about actually watching games and certain players closely to determine his subsequent team selections.

I completely agree with this and have improved my rank since devoting more time to watching more games than I did last season.

Now, I’m not having a go at Andy - but he always mentions in his streams that “I didn’t watch the game, but I read that so and so played _____.”

I really don’t think that Andy watches enough PL matches to make informed, cutting-edge decisions. His team selection always seems to be based on the “template” and mirroring what top FPL managers have already done.

I agree that there's a reason the top managers are at the top is by being more proactive (other than 13th in the world who hasn't made a transfer all season).

Obviously watching games is will help you do better, but reading up can work too. I only remembered seeing a few MOTD highlights of Mahrez in 2014-15, but I read up on his pre-season form in 2015 and went with him from the start.

Unless you're on a full time salary to provide FPL advice, how much time do you think a person can dedicate to watching fooball? At 90 minutes a pop it's hard to squeeze in that many matches if you have a job, family etc.

Andy's a good player and gives good advice, I reckon. And his rank shows that. Give him a break mate

Terrible off form, yes. He's been an absolute nightmare to own. Not too long ago we all rated him as a top pick...

All of that said, I think he'll get a start against Arsenal.

Oops. If you want to transfer him out, then I'd get KDB.

I think he'll probably start although I've seen Pool fans saying Ox is playing well and the revenge factor is there for him. If Mane plays he could run riot. KDB's the only one of those I'd even consider a hit for.

Seriously if you have not watched this weeks scoutcast you have to.

Jay started brilliant and ended great. They have to have him back again. Breath of fresh air but the middle bit with the technical difficulties omg.

I had lost but when Jonty starts wiping the tears out of his eyes I was doing the same. Just brill.

Been managing a heel injury for months it seems. Don't see that changes anything. More value to had from mid week teamsheets.

I have released some funds last week to do Gross to Pogba which is a done deal now.

    Pope
    Jones Ogbonna Mariappa
    Pogba Sterling Hazard Salah Richarlison
    Kane Morata
Elliot Kenny Mee Quaner 0.1 ITB

    1.Final eleven is correct?
2.If Kane or Morata blank should i get rid of them and upgrade defence (personally i am a fan of these strikers)

Bench looks correct will we ever get round to losing Pope and/or Mee. Hopefully it works ok.

If you have lost Kane a week or 2 ago I don't see the point losing him now.
Morata- still so little time playing together with Hazard I still think that partnership will work.

      Nice team GL

Morata will come good especially with fixtures. Kane not great fixtures but has the DGW

If you can get either KDB or Sterling for free this week, whom would you go with? Please don't consider value when responding.

179 pts from the OR leader, not that far away. I'm going to win FPL this season. 😀

    Foster - Elliot
    Otamendi - Bellerin - Christensen - Mee - Femenia
    Salah - Coutinho - Zaha - Richarlison - Loftus-Cheek
    Aguero - Morata - Firmino

    1FT, 0.0 ITB

Which of the following do you reckon are worth doing this week if Femenia is ruled out?

    A) Foster > Adrian
    B) Femenia > Masuaku
    C) Coutinho > Sterling
    D) Save FT

    Thanks in advance 🙂

If you do D and captain Kun and Sterling is benched or fails you could be on a huge diff. See what happens in cup games and monitor.

Pope -> Elliot (I have Foster) & Richarlison -> Sane for free

Rest of Midfield: Salah - Hazard - Sterling - Surman

Looking at Che and Watford GW22 fixtures I am going
    Hazard and Richarlson
    To Eriksen and Son
That week to add to Kane and Ogbonna
My OR is so bad anyway time to risk it.
    What ye think of this?

Will be for 2 hits. Possible 1 but most likely 2.

Looks destined to backfire imo, but maybe that's just me being cynical 😛

Yes it's risky but there is reward.
Why you think it is more likely to backfire. Spurs have no form or something else?

        1. Flaming Flamingo

To me Hazard and Richarlison are better picks. Also, there's no guarantee either Eriksen or Son (in partcular) plays both games. They might be able to pay off the hit in the double anyway, but long term I'd back Hazard and Richarlison to comfortably outscore them
