The penultimate match of Gameweek 20 gets underway at this evening as Newcastle United welcome league leaders Manchester City to St James’ Park.

Up against a defence with just a single clean sheet in 15 attempts, Pep Guardiola’s side boast three of the top ten captains for this round of fixtures.

Significantly Sergio Aguero – their most backed armband pick (6.2%) – is again chosen to lead the line and makes his fourth successive Premier League start. Gabriel Jesus warms the bench yet again, then.

Kevin De Bruyne (4.2%) and Raheem Sterling (3.1%) are also handed starts, though both have some way to go to match Harry Kane’s 17-point haul at home to Southampton yesterday.

Nonetheless, the pair arrive on Tyneside in fine form. De Bruyne has three goals and two assists in City’s previous six, with three sets of 10+ points hauls during that run.

Meanwhile, Sterling – the top target in midfield for Gameweek 20, with over 173,00 new owners – has served up 34 points in three, courtesy of three goals and a trio of assists.

David Silva’s ongoing personal issues means he misses out for the second time in three matches, however, with Ilkay Gundogan partnering De Bruyne in the centre of the park in his absence. Leroy Sane is also on the timber despite his early withdrawal against Bournemouth last time out – he’s now started just four of the last seven Gameweeks.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

My rankings have improved dramatically since bench boost from playing in DGW. What would possibly possess you to not wait? Legitimately curious

Had a decent bench and thought everyone would play. DGW usually have a poor bench so had a punt.. which backfired 🙁

My bench was Elliot DCL Ogbonna Dunk so can't talk. Generally have played WC before DGW and maxed out my high TV. Got +120 last 2 seasons. Can't imagine your bench being that good this time of year?

In general, don't bench boost at times of uncertainty. You need to have a clear shot at 16 starters, so best to wait until towards the end of the season, and preferably a DGW.

Salah would be the safe bet, but after his incredible run of form, surely a form dip is lurking?

Meanwhile, Hazard is always threatening, but annoyingly suffers from the lack of quality finishing around him. Against a very lacklustre Stoke with Defensive injury worries, he could step up and throw a spanner in the works this weekend I think...

Got a similar team to Mark, although early season form means I am ahead of him. He has Pope, Sane and Ogbonna. I have De Gea, RLC and Dunk. He has a much higher TV so will probably win in the end though.

Morata score his first hatrick against Stoke. Bringing him in:

Neither do I, but had to concede and get him in for points.

Sterling is in the top 20 best prem players. Not every one is Messi smh

            I don't agree.

Personally I find Sterling interesting. Isn't good at anything that stands out on the eye. BUT, does all the other things great, finds space, nippy, great movement, works his ass off and the key bit of being in the right place at the right time

        RMWCT please guys? Suggestions welcome.

        Adrian - Ryan
        Alonso - Ota - Jones - Suttner - Kenny
        Salah - Lingard - Cout - Sterling - Arnie
        Quaner - Kane - Firmino

Then after the GW will trade Cout > Alli

Suttner has been rotated all season, would get a more guaranteed starter. otherwise looks good.

Also if you are sure to sell Cout next week, I would consider a punt on someone else instead as there is a possibility of him getting a rest.

I know but who would you say is worth a one week punt and at max 9.1m? Thanks for the reply

With less than 24hrs between GW 21 & 22, I can see lots of non-owners missing the deadline to put Kane back in for DGW - especially when you factor in new year hangovers.

Thinking of holding transfer this week then for DGW doing

Hazard and Sane to Eriksen and Alli

Already own Morata and Kane. This will free up funds to upgrade Klavan moving forward

Am thinking the same. How much will Sané drop before saturday though?

Haha same problem. 0.1 I'd say, means losing 0.2 total for me but can't lose him this GW just for that

PICK 2 of the following players for DGW and forward:

        A: Eriksen
        B: Alli
        C: Son
        D: Arnatovic

A and B are the safest choice you would think.

I’d say one of A/B and one of C/D

That’ll give you the best flexibility going forward, don’t really want a Spurs premium triple up (assume you have Kane)

Personally I’d say Alli and Son.

Alli and Arno. Arno because good fixtures and doesn't take up a bag of cash for a big midfielder, then one of the other three to switch in and out perhaps. Alli seems the form man and less rotation risk than son

Getting Arnie and Son. Son will become and City or United player not long after DGW
