Sunday’s pair of Gameweek 21 matches get underway at midday as Crystal Palace welcome Manchester City to Selhurst Park.

The latest teamsheet twist from Pep Guardiola sees both Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling drop to the bench, with Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus joining Bernardo Silva in the front three.

Ranked fifth and seventh top captains for Gameweek 21, Aguero and Sterling have been backed by 7.2% and 4.8% with the armband against the only side yet to register a clean sheet in front of their own fans.

Over 219,00 FPL managers drafted in Sterling on the back of three successive double-digit returns, though it’s worth noting that he’s emerged from the bench to score in two of his three sub appearances this season.

A big haul from the ever-present Kevin De Bruyne could have an impact on the FPL standings – 4.05% have handed the Belgian the armband as he goes in search of a sixth double-figure haul of 2017/18.

City arrive with the league’s best defensive record on the road, claiming more shut-outs (six) and conceding fewer goals (five) away from home than any side.

Yet the Eagles have proven a reliable source of goals at home – indeed, they have scored exactly twice in seven successive matches at Selhurst Park, which includes clashes with Chelsea and Arsenal.

With a goal or assist in all but one of those seven encounters, Wilfried Zaha has played a pivotal part in their renaissance under Roy Hodgson.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Front 7:
    Hazard - Salah - Sterling - Richarlison - Lingard
    Aguero - Firmino - Niasse

    A) Niasse & Hazard > Kane & £4.3 (0 ITB)
    B) Firmino & Hazard > Kane & Son (0.3 ITB)
    C) Aguero & Hazard > Kane & Alli* (2.1 ITB)

I do think B has the best short-term points potential no doubt.

But I can 100% see me wanting rid of Son after a while, and Firmino is such a nice price to fill a forward spot. Risen 0.5 since I bought him too.

A solves the Niasse problem and allows me to keep Kun.

B all day and twice on Sunday. Kane essential. Son in form and can be easily swapped later if you tire of him. With spare .3, you could bring in Ayew (at least playing if not the most fearsome) for Niasse. Or could wait and addres Niasse later, as you have 5 strong mids.

DCL. He has 2 difficult fixtures coming up now (United and Spurs) and that takes you to 20th January when although he will be playing WBA, he probably won't be the first choice striker. They are looking at a host of others and Sam has said that although he rates DCL, he doesn't think he has what it takes to depend opn him week in week out.

  9. The Big Fella

I have had an awful week. 47 points all out with Kane possibly out for the DGW, RLC not playing, Speroni not playing, out of the FPL cup, Morata being the worst captain choice I think I have ever made in the game (5 goals from 5 different scorers and he is not involved in a single one?!). This week will really cost me in both my OR and in my MLs.

It is annoying as I have picked up a good run of form plus the poor captaincy pick and the missed CS with Speroni (Adrian is my other keeper) from him not playing is really frustrating.

Forget FPL cup big man it's a waste of time. You was never going to win it anyway.

You was unfortunate in a gw where there was a lot of dirty points and bad luck. Just move on and plan your dgw.

Somebody has to win it! It still would have been nice to get a good run going. DGW planned for already. Four players in and still not a hit taken this season. Cheers for the pep talk!

tempter to do FH to get Aguero Kane and double Spurs mids
currently have only Kane, and that was on a -4, sou it could be great
As well could drop Salah for 1 game with FH
    Thoughts?

I know the blanks will be great for thr FH, but I think double Spurs mids and Aguero in Salah out for a single gw should be worth it.
Also the blanks will be very low scoring, possibly only 1s and 2s

Those of us who took Kane out before his hatrick party, what’s the consensus?

I can do Aguero > Kane but don’t want to do it if he’s out of Swansea because it’ll be Aguero v Watford and Kane v West Ham

If Kane is out then il do Kenny > Vert

In the last home game Kun got 2 goals and an assist

3 easy home games incoming and he seems nailed

I think he can match Kane points in case Kane plays only 1 game in DGW

Iv been here two weeks ago though when I said the upside to losing Kane could be good, instead I ended up 50 points worse off getting rid.

I just want to know if he’s fit.

Yeah. The risk with Kane is he doesn't play vs Swansea and then West Ham raise their game vs Tottenham. I've convinced myself into going without Kane again. Carpe diem and all that.
