Saturday afternoon goes easy on our New Year’s Day hangovers by throwing us just three afternoon kick-offs.

All the attention was due to be focused on Turf Moor with Liverpool – sporting their fab four – the visitors. But the injury to Mohamed Salah, coupled with the return of Jurgen Klopp’s rotation policy, has markedly reduced interest in this game.

With Philippe Coutinho out of the squad – also through injury according to Klopp – and Roberto Firmino starting on the bench, it’s only Sadio Mane from the elite attacking four who makes the starting line-up.

That could find many Fantasy managers willing for a clean sheet for the home side, with Burnley defender Ben Mee and goalkeeper Nick Pope part of 15.3% and 7.2% of squads respectively.

Elsewhere Leicester City will take on Huddersfield Town at the King Power Stadium without Jamie Vardy. The striker misses out with a groin problem, while Riyad Mahrez bids to maintain form that has supplied a goal or an assist in seven of his previous eight Gameweeks.

Finally, Stoke City host Newcastle United in a low-impact encounter in Fantasy terms. Shaqiri – with 6.7% ownership – is the most popular active player on show.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Ignoring this crazy GW and looking forward:

Does Aguero become essential now or is it wait and see?

Three of the next four at home (including this GW) were to tasty for me to ignore so I brought him in ahead of DGW players, he looks like the sole forward now playing in the highest scoring premier league team, what's not to like.

He's priced cheaper than Kane and if he'd have started as many games as him he'd have scored very similar, the fact is it's taken Kane back to back hat-tricks to supersede Kun's ppm ratio, are we really going to question the sole forward from a Man City team? (Watch him get rotated now).

He's irrelevant this season because of Sterling. You'll never captain him.

He's going to be awfully nice differential for those who own him - in a season where finding differentials is getting harder and harder.

A 21% ownership player hardly a differential. Ownership growing very fast too.

When Salah and Kane and Sterling have the ownership percentages they have, 21% isn't bad.

Crap start of gameweek for most. Today was always likely to be low scoring as the gameweek is all about the next 3 days! No free hit, never considered it, if I had I'd imagine i would have had Vardy and Mahrez which would have been nice (Mahrez part).

    Roll on tomorrow evening.

    Less rotation as extra rest.
