The penultimate fixture of the packed festive schedule gets underway at 7.45pm as Arsenal and Chelsea go head-to-head at the Emirates.

For the hosts, Alexis Sanchez has upped his output in recent weeks – after a slow start to the season, last term’s top scoring player in Fantasy Premier League has delivered points in seven of his last 10 league appearances.

That form suggest that the Chilean is likely to pose the main danger to a defence that’s conceded just four times in their previous 11.

Nonetheless, it’s Alexandre Lacazette who is the Gunners’ most captained player for Gameweek 22, handed the armband by 2.02%.

The Frenchman has been a consistent source of points at home, producing a goal or assist in seven of his 10 appearances, but he’s struggled for a cutting edge of late and failed to find the net since Gameweek 15.

A return to form could reignite interest in Lacazette ahead of four kind fixtures (bou CRY swa EVE) in as many Gameweeks.

Despite a run of two goals in the last nine Gameweeks, Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata (3.7%) is the top armband pick for this fixture.

That lack of form means that the Spaniard and team-mate Eden Hazard were among the top five most transferred out players for Gameweek 22, sent packing by 243,000+ and 207,000+ respectively.

Hazard has mustered just a single assist in five yet both he and Morata also have some decent fixtures ahead to arrest their recent declines – over the next five Gameweeks, Antonio Conte’s side host Leicester, Bournemouth and West Brom and also make their way to Brighton and Watford.

Encouragingly for Hazard’s owners, he looks set to return to a central role with the visitors rolling out a 3-5-1-1 formation.

The Gunners, meanwhile, welcome back Mesut Ozil from a minor knee problem, though injuries in defence means that Arsene Wenger is forced to field the likes of Calum Chambers, Rob Holding and Ainsley Maitland-Niles in his starting line-up.

    Find all this Kane assist talk quite frustrating. Like the rest of us, I had Kane captained but I can’t believe all the fuss.

    Owned Zaha earlier this season and the exact situation happened with Sako, a bit silly of people to all of a sudden go wild about it because they TC’d Kane. Especially as he will probably net a brace or hattrick next game.

      I dont know why people dwell on things they cant change. Better put that energy towards something they can

      I think it stems from general inconsistency.
      I.e TAA last week, and KdB this week claiming assist points which could go either way.

      I own Kane, and agree it not an assist by FPL rules, but I understand people’s frustrations

        I do get why people are annoyed by it but it has been this way for so long now and has happened on a few occasions this season already.

        People are only bothered because it’s their triple captain which makes it harder for me to take it as seriously.

          Yeah the fact that he was many (mine included) TC fuels the frustration.

          As you say, decision made, it’s not going to change, just fingers crossed for the West Ham game now

            Honestly mate, I think Kane will do a job on West Ham and everyone will be happy anyway! Best of luck with your TC, mine have both been quite crap from the last two seasons!

        Not sure what to make of it. Had some shockers like Wes Morgan, Otamendi and Lanzini. But my team would have done terribly without it and still have 6 players to come to I think it was the right decision, on 42 with 6 to play

      My main FH moves were

      Pickford -> Adrian

      Azpi -> Otamendi
      Jones -> Duffy

      Salah -> Alli
      Gross -> Son
      Mata -> Arnautovic

      Morata -> Aguero
      Firmino -> Vardy

    Zouma was powerful and fast and made great tackles to often make up for his lack of awareness. Christensen looks like he does little
    because he reads the game so quickly

    Hi all! Repost due to new article. As we wait for another Alonso haul, would you mind sharing your thoughts about my transfers the following weeks (though a lot can change):

    A: Mahrez, Gross, Aguero. Sub: DCL (3-5-2)
    B: Arnautovic, Firmino, Aguero. Sub: Carroll (3-4-3)
    C: De Bruyne, Arnautovic/Gross, Firmino. Sub: DCL (3-5-2)

    I am leaning towards B which gives me an attacking 8 of Salah, Sterling, Arnautovic, Lingard, Kane, Aguero, Firmino, (Carroll).

    Thanx and enjoy the game!
