Gameweek 23 draws to a close at Old Trafford as Manchester United entertain struggling Stoke City.

Up against a defence that’s conceded more goals on the road than any side, the hosts boast three of the top 11 captains in Fantasy Premier League.

Romelu Lukaku (12.1%) remains the favoured attacker among Jose Mourinho’s contingent despite a run of two goals in the last nine Gameweeks.

Yet as evidenced by his goal and assist off the bench against Derby in the FA Cup, an enforced rest due to a head injury seems to have boosted the Belgian’s prospects.

Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba are also highly fancied, with the former drafted in by a massive 567,000+ FPL managers in time to face the Potters.

Certainly, Lingard is the form player on show tonight, with seven goals and a pair of assists in the last nine Gameweeks. He has, however, recorded points in just one of his last four Premier League matches at home.

Meanwhile, Pogba’s 12-point haul away to Everton last time out – his first double-digit return since Gameweek 12 – hints at a return to form. However, tonight’s teamsheet indicates that the Frenchman will be deployed in a deep-lying role alongside Nemanja Matic, with Ander Herrera dropping to the bench.

Having conceded just five goals at Old Trafford, a ninth home clean sheet looks to be on the cards for David De Gea’s 42% owners tonight.

Up against an attack that have scored just three times in their last five road trips, interest in Phil Jones is on the rise – he was the top transfer target in defence for Gameweek 23, earning over 191,000 new owners.

Mourinho also welcomes back the fit-again Antonio Valencia, who makes his first appearance since Gameweek 18 after recovering from a hamstring problem.

Despite missing the last four matches, he remains the fourth top-scoring defender in FPL thanks to two goals and 11 clean sheets in 18 outings.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is it madness to have a front line of Kane Aguero Firmino?

Seems I can actually afford it but would have RLC and a 4.8 mid playing..

I have those 3 up front. My problem with it is that Kun doesn’t really outscore Sterling who is 2.5m cheaper. On the other hand, and the reason I have still got it this way, I find there to be lots of compelling midfielders at 5-6.5m bracket, and no compelling forwards cheaper than 8m (prob vardy the cheapest?). Maybe Wilson can change that and after Kun’s easy games I may go Kun->Wilson and then swim in cash

      Good question
Thinking about Elliot to Adrian and rotate them

      Adrian:
      GW 24 BOU
      GW 25 PALACE
      GW 26 BRI
      GW 27 WATFORD

      Fabianski:

      GW 31 SOU

I've been deliberating Aguero v Firmino. Aguero is a great captaincy shout but so is Kane, Sterling, Salah etc. If you think he is worth the money then make the switch. However, I don't reckon Spurs fixtures are all that bad after Southampton, Man U and Liverpool will be tricky but Arsenal at home....Spurs will be well up for that one and then fixtures look good again. Good luck what ever you decide.

Scored 72 points with Salah, Otamendi, Firmino and Sterling left to play.. But already started thinking about next week.

    Need some advice here..

    Foster
    Otamendi - Hegazi - Ogbonna
    Arna - Salah - Sterling - Son
    Kane - Firmino - Morata

    Bench: Elliot, Carroll, Mee, Mariappa.

2FT and 0.3M ITB. How to get Agüero in?

A: Morata and Son to Agüero + 7.1MID (who?)
B: Morata and Firmino to Agüero + 7.6FWD (who?)
    C: Any other options?

Also, pull the trigger tonight to avoid Morata's price drop?

The Hennessey/Speroni goalkeeper duo has to be the best value in the game.

Great gw result, but wondering what now. 2FT and 0.3 ITB

    De Gea

    Alonso Christensen Ota

    Salah Son Sterling Arnie Lingard

    Kane Firmino

    (Speroni Masuaku Holgate Niasse)

Nothing really pressing, but with 2 FT seems silly not to make a switch.

    A) Christensen -> Virgil VD
    B) Niasse -> someone who plays

    other suggestions welcome

Thoughts on Van Djiik when he is back again?

Really think he can be an excellent value with how good LFC have been defensively at Anfield and his goal threat.
No blank either and nice fixtures

4 league goals since 15/16 season, not sure he has many goals in him.
Then again otamendi had 1 a season before this season
