A busy slate of Sunday fixtures gets underway at the John Smith’s Stadium as Huddersfield Town entertain Bournemouth at 12pm.

Owned by 10.3% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, the Cherries’ Callum Wilson is the most popular player on show for this one.

Over 101,000 snapped up the forward for Gameweek 27 after a run of four goals and two assists in seven.

Wilson has history against the Terriers, too, firing a hat-trick to claim his season-high haul of 17 points back in Gameweek 12.

With a goal or assist in four of the last five Gameweeks, Jordon Ibe – at just 4.9 – is also in fine form for the visitors, who arrive on the back of a seven-match unbeaten run that includes a 3-0 win at Chelsea in their previous road trip.

The hosts, on the other hand, have done little to convince of their Fantasy potential in recent outings, firing a single goal in the last six fixtures.

Yet a good result today could bring David Wagner’s men onto our radars ahead of a very favourable schedule that pits them against teams in the bottom half of the table in six of the next seven Gameweeks (wba SWA CRY new bha WAT).

How quickly do people see this Kun rotation happening?

I'm a non owner and even I can see that Jesus surely cannot be rushed back into this team after an injury. Plus the idea that he will be rotated / rested for Europe was busted yesterday after he played the full 90, despite being 4-1 up. And when it comes to fixtures, I'd argue he's fixture proof?

There's also Sane's injury to factor in and it may be that Jesus starts on the left with Aguero.

Just thought I'd flag that I don't see it as black and white as some people on here like 'Jesus is back in training therefore, it's time to ship Kun'

      Repost Reply

I think most will be in agreement with you, I certainly am.

Jesus being back will be putting a limit on his minutes though there's no doubt about that. Also 19 days more recovery time before City's next PL game. Could have had a full 90 by then. Whilst not black and white, I think that's actually the perfect metaphor. It's a massive grey area where we simply don't know what will happen with him.

Aguero, whilst he's been fantastic. At 12.0m you need someone that's starting every week IMO, I think we've seen many try going with Jesus/Aguero earlier in the season to be burnt. Firmino and Aubameyang other factors for me, Kane will be for others. 3 other solid options there. Also blank GW to navigate too.

Sterling/KDB guaranteed starters can also "cover" Aguero's points for the most part.

      1. GuillermoDickero

Agreed on this but I think it's more of a question of when this might happen...

Jesus will be far from fit to play a full 90 plus as I said, he might just come in with a straight swap for Sane.

Agreed on the Firmino / Auba points and the upcoming blank, but again, can they match him for points in his current form?

The main point of my post was just to highlight that the whole idea of shipping aguero because of Jesus rotation has been going on for weeks. It was one of the reasons why I didn;t buy him because Pep said he would be back in 2 weeks time and now it's another 2 weeks. Who's to say that Jesus could be delayed even more?

Aguero was first choice even when Jesus wasn't injured.

But with the amount of games Man City have to play, you'd expect some rotation.

Not sure on that. Jesus started at Palace, got injured and Aguero replaced him.

I do think Aguero is first choice. I remember the job share coming to an end and Jesus being consistently benched. I wouldn't say Aguero is nailed by any means, but Pep was expressing a clear preference for Kun prior to the Jesus injury.

        2. MTPockets
          8 years, 5 months ago

Would guess that was due to proximity of games (27th, 31st, then 2nd Jan for cpl). Aguero had started previous four, and Jesus the EFL game.

    4. MTPockets

Pep seems to reward performance with minutes. Think he's fine while form is good.

I will keep him for the upcoming GW as there is 5 days from GW start to he plays. If rotation hits, i am using my 2FTs this week to get a good alternative bench

I just think with the PL sewn up, Pep will prioritise CL and rest Kun.

By the same token, Arsene will see 4th place beyond Arsenal and prioritise the Europa Cup to get into the CL, thus rotate heavily.

Liecester was meant to the last game but as you say Sane out is also a big deal.

Although if the title get wrapped up super early and Man City are still in UCL that does muddy the waters.

Yesterday Pep was forced to play him but he knows after mid week game can afford to give Kun 1.5 weeks off...

With that reasoning, you wouldn't have bought Aguero as well then? It's all about future points. Alonso isn't as nailed on anymore with a new lwb signing. Chelsea are in crap form, conceding 7! against Watford and Bournemouth ffs, and have though fixtures + a blank in gw31. For 5.0 I would say, yes keep, but at this price, never.
