In just under a fortnight, on Saturday 24th February, around 30 Fantasy Football Scout community members will be putting away their keyboards and dusting off their replica kits as they get ready to play a round-robin, seven-a-side charity football tournament.

The event takes place at Hendon Football Centre, Barnet, NW9 5PE, between 12-3pm and has been organised by myself and TopMarx.

The day is being staged in memory of Simon Humber, who lost his battle with ocular melanoma in 2015. Simon was the creative director of EA’s FIFA team, a Portsmouth FC fan and a popular member of the Fantasy Football Scout community as ‘Absinthe’.

All the money raised will go to The Melanoma Research Foundation – a charity identified and verified in our recent contact with Simon’s family.

More information about Simon, together with an opportunity to donate, is available at this Just Giving page.

Please note that donations are expressed in dollars, rather than pounds, so a donation of $10 will be around £7.20 (based on the exchange rate on the morning of 12th February 2018).

The current squad lists (which may vary on the day) are below, but even if you are not playing or spectating please spare a few moments and a few quid by clicking on the Just Giving link and making a donation.

In addition to donations, a strict punitive system will be operated on the day with fines in place for diving, being nutmegged, late tackles and anything else the FFScout community can suggest. We are hoping to get some footage of the matches but can’t promise Sky Sports standard broadcasting.

    Bit of guidance needed please.
Surely with only 11 games left this isn’t a bad time to wildcard is it?

Or do we think it could be better used involving DGW’s etc....?

    Thanks!

Use prior to GW33 and set team up for the DGW's and then you can use benchboost or TC in the DGW's

Also made 0.1m on Kun and am able to buy Kane back at just 0.1m more than what I sold him for 😀

        Best option out of these?
Will probaly keep the mid till I wildcard in 32/33.

        A) Eriksen
        B) Mahrez
        C) Walcott
        D) Siggy
        E) Deulofeu

Currently have 4 starters for GW31 but Leicester’s & Spurs fixtures are pretty good.

Liverpool play a lot of the teams in a relegation battle. Don't expect them to sit back and go for a 1-0, these teams need to score goals and Liverpool will concede. I'm looking elsewhere for defensive options.

And you just know Klopp will rotate VVD with Klavan and Lovren able deputies in the league.

Liverpool got 10 days rest before West Ham game and then a week's break to the Newcastle match...no need to rotate at all for those. I think VVD is due a goal and will be fun to own given his ability from set-pieces in the box.

Baring any injuries during FA cup or champions league which transfers are better:

        A- Aguero > Firmino + alonso > Van dijk + quaner > wilson (-4)

        B- Aguero > Firmino + alonso > Van dijk + Lingard > Mahrez (-4)

        C- Aguero > Firmino + alonso > Van dijk + Quaner > Vardy (-4)

        D- Aguero > Firmino + alonso > Van dijk
