An unceremonious defeat at the hands of League One Wigan may have scuppered Pep Guardiola’s quest for a legendary quartet of titles but Manchester City’s Premier League form has been as strong as ever.

After sweeping five goals past Leicester in their final fixture before the FA Cup break, City have now found the net an impressive 79 times this season – a full 18 clear of their nearest rival, Liverpool.

With five attackers – Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, David Silva and Sergio Aguero – all past the 100-point threshold in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), City have clearly proven themselves to represent our most reliable source of regular Fantasy points.

As 19,000 delirious Wigan fans discovered on Monday night, however, there is a marked difference between City’s form at home and on their travels.

In this latest Technical Area article for members, we will put this under scrutiny, with particular reference to the merits of keeping faith in Man City’s attacking assets.

    Now all my players have played I can’t see any reason to hold off on bringing Bavies.

    Have exact to do Ota and Og to Bavies and VVD .

    Points gained can be spent on bringing 31 players in.

    Rose for champs and cup?

      It’s kind of worrying that Klopp has rested him twice already in a short space of time prior to important PL/CL games.

    Evening all. I'm unsure which move to make this week. Need to get in Firmino and want VvD also.

    I'm worried about Son getting benched despite their good fixtures, and will transfer him to a gw 31 player probably, but could transfer to Mahrez instead.

    Have 1FT, 0.9ITB; which of these to do?

    A) Jones -> VvD
    B) Son -> Mahrez
    C) Jones -> Bavies/vertonghen
    D) alternative transfer

    Team is

    Aguero's double digit hauls this season have came against teams who are currently 8th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 15th & in the EPL and 4 out of 5 of them have been at home. His next 7 GWs involve playing 4 of the Top Six clubs, another 2 games away from home and a big fat blank.

    Scary as it might seem, it's time to let go chaps.

    removing Aguero & Hazard after big hauls seems pretty stupid, but there are a few (probably invalid) reasons to do so, and this would set me up nicely for the next few:

    Aguero Hazard RLC Dyer -> Niasse Mane Eriksen Mahrez (-8)

    Salah Mane Eriksen Mahrez Sterling
    Kane Wilson (Niasse)

    Kane/Eriksen become Firmino/Siggy in GW31, possibly. Thoughts?

        yeah it's difficult, a few reasons to get rid (mainly fixture related, but also Aguero rotation) however doing so could go horribly wrong

      Looks bananas for -8. Hazard scores he gets max baps

        yeah, -8 is far from ideal, but I do like the team it leaves me with...hmm
