As we enter the final ten Gameweeks of the season, finding ways to differentiate our sides from those our rivals around us becomes more and more difficult to achieve.

With a combined eight midfielders and forwards boasting an ownership of over 20% within the top 10,000 managers, and the Gameweek 31 blank promoting assets with guaranteed fixtures that weekend, many of us now appear to have converged upon a similar squad structure.

In such a circumstance, the decision of captaincy allocation – that ever-crucial decision to a manager’s Gameweek – becomes magnified in its importance.

Last week saw an incredible 91% of top-10k managers place the armband onto either Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah or Spurs’ Harry Kane. Salah held a convincing lead over his rival in terms of backers (73.7% vs 17.6%) and though both players provided goals, it was the Egyptian who ultimately emerged victorious with a haul of 10 points to Kane’s six.

Looking forward, however, who do the numbers support as our prime captaincy option over the final few Gameweeks of the season?

Which 2 to play, and which 2 to Bench:

Probably who plays best and who then gets hooked if they are winning! Personally I don’t really rate Lamela and unsure on Moura as not seen much. To me, Son just seems so lively and the obvious pick but perhaps I’m just a biased owner who knows nothing 🙂

I posted this on the previous article:

Actually, this lineup makes me think Son is locked in to start GW29. He barely played last weekend (while Lamela and Lucas played more), and both Lamela and Lucas also are playing today. I don't see Lamela getting three starts in a row with Son only getting one.

Isn't a little nutty to bench Son at home in gw29? Poch has to recognize that, doesn't he? Granted, it's HUD, and Spurs should be able to get by them with ease. Still, Son at Wembley is tough to argue against.

If you plan to add a GW31 player then consider moving Jones along.

Regardless of how much value you have tied in Sterling I'd only cosider moving him on if upgrading to De Bruyne. If you already have De Bruyne then consider Mahrez for Sterling (i'm assuming you have Salah). Otherwise keep Sterling.

If you dont need a GW31 defender then keep both and roll your transfer. If tomorrow's game is postponed you will need that extra transfer plus your decisions on who to get will get affected drastically.

Everyone here is going to say NO because Davies will not start. Some people here have vision of the future. They will tel you that despite starting the last 8 games he WILL be rested before the Juve game.

They could be right but there's no way of knowing. If you have a good 4th defender and you intend to play 3 defenders then by all means a risk worth taking in my humble opinion.

Davies not in the squad tonight that means he should play Huddersfield on Saturday.

He can play both that match and UCL since he’s had a week rest.

Plus I feel that Aurier is nailed for UCL tie and it’s between Trippier and Bavies to fight over the other WB (Aurier can also play LWB).

I wouldn't. Wait a couple of days for weather forecasts and factor in gw31.

Didn't expect all of them in the start. So wait 61 minutes and sell?

I've already got Kane and Eriksen so no real need to keep other than he's an explosive differential with 2 more super fixtures before the blank.

It's like they are all auditioning for a spot in the starting 11 🙂 Son could be a winner v Huddersfield yet....

What do I do with Gomez and Zeegelaar who haven’t played much of late ( Zeegs out of favor) who have GW31.

Should I waste a transfer on my 4th/5th defender before BGW31 or hold:

    A) Zeegelaar out
    B) Both out
    C) Hold both

      hard to say without:
      1. Knowing your whole team
      2. Funds available
      3. Your intentions for GW31 (how many you want to play vs are you playing your FH)

Evening guys, Whats your thoughts on these ideas for my team. I have 2 ft but I can't figure how to use them:

    GW29: Sterling + Depoitre > Milly + Firmino
    GW31: Otamendi + VVD + KDB > Mane + any two defenders -4

    current team:
    Pickford
    Alonso,Otamendi,VVD
    Sterling,Salah,Shaqiri,KDB,Walcott
    Kane,Wilson

    elliot,depoitre,ogbonna,dunk
    0.5 ITB

If you can think of anything, it would be appreciated

Bernardo should start tomorrow, yeah? Will the game go ahead? Does Ethihad have underground heating...?

Underground heating has nothing to do with it. It's judged by the whether or not the fans' journey to the match is deemed safe by local authorities
