After starting our series of members’ articles on Wildcard targets with a look at Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, our sights turn to another in-demand frontman.

With Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero currently nursing injuries, Romelu Lukaku’s recent resurgence has not gone unnoticed by Fantasy Premier League managers.

Three goals and a pair of assists in the last five Gameweeks, allied with a trio of strikes over four cup outings in the same timeframe, means that the Man United striker is the second most bought player in FPL ahead of Gameweek 32.

Following a barren autumn period, Lukaku seems to have stepped up his output following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez.

With two double Gameweeks anticipated for the Red Devils, can the Belgian claim a place in our frontlines for the run-in?

      Whilst I agree that with teams who are still involved in other tournaments, europa league, CL, FA cup, probably resting key players in the PL, I do think Monreal is quite key to Arsenal, and likely to play more often than not.

              He’s left wing back, with Maitland-Nile’s.

              Monreal is the left sided centre back, in a first choice back three with Kosc, and Mustafi I would say.

                Has Monreal been injured for the last three league games? Not played a league fixture since NLD.

                Basically any Arsenal outfield player who is eligible for EL is a big risk (as their season hinges on that comp). If they play in the league, you'd expect them to cash in as their fixtures are excellent. But it's a big "if"

                  Problem is that this is true of several teams, with the league wrapped up Man City will rest all their star players, don’t expect Sane, Silva, Sterling, or Aguero to play much PL football after the Manchester derby.

                  Toure, Foden, Jesus, Laporte should all come in.

                  Same with Chelsea, Willian could well be rested ahead of the more important FA cup semi.

                  If United get to final and are guaranteed top 3, they could rest players in GW37/38 before the final.

                  Quite a few maybes.

                    All true.

                    But the difference is Man City attacking players have a chance of returning from the bench, Monreal will not come on if he doesn't start. They aren't going to just play UCL as they will get rusty. I would expect a lot more 60 minute run outs though and miss the odd game

                    Also, the ceilings of City. Chelsea, United attackers is far higher than Monreal (one ridiculous game v CPL aside!).

                    Finally, Wenger is already resting players for EL. It's not a hypothetical, it's happening. It's the reason that nobody is putting Rambo into WC teams, even though he is an absolute points machine. It doesn't matter if he's not on the pitch

                      Yeah I take your point on attacking players still returning from the bench.

                      Monreal I expect to play in the PL, he is very important to their defence.

                      But it’s true, it’s risky going with any player still involved in other tournaments, which is all of the top 6 really. Liverpool aside, the only team without a DGW.

                      Personally my defence will be made up of nailed on players, certainly until I BB in GW34.

                  Yes, he's been injured recently. Played against Inter in the last Europa game, I believe. He was in sparkling form before the injury and has 4 goals this season. I'm very tempted by him, but the rotation is a worry.

      He'd be an option if certain to play to the end of the season - MCI have had the same number of clean sheets as United and have conceded fewer goals. My worry is Bravo getting some games once the title is one?

      problem with gross is the fixtures from dgw34 really deteriorate. BUT didnt palace and leicester provide magnificient results against big teams in recent seasons in order to survive. he could still be a great choice with 2 dgw

    CPL have conceded just 3 goals in last 4 matches at Selhurst. Even with two opponents being Spurs and Chelsea

    LIV Vs CPL last 8 h2h
    4 wins CPL
    4 wins LIV

    Plus you can never underestimate Liv hung ups against so called weak team. After that 'easy' cpl match Liv have pretty imp UCL quarters to deal with. So rest and rotation is very much possible in EVE match. Even Salah maybe gamble then but need him for Bou match.
    Helped me with decision to go with just Salah as Liv cover.
    This info was only for those who doubtful about losing Firmino. For blinded LIV lovers, I am fool to ignore Firmino henceforth so kindly ignore 😉

        Agreed. I wont be surprised if this match ends 0-1 to Liv or even 1-1. CPL frstrated chelsea and spurs a lot. Plus Benteke will be handful for mediocre Lovren same way Lukaku was 2 weeks back

    On the begining of this season i said that i will never owned Trolkaku. Im still on that decision and season going well, im 30k and during Lukaku scoring period i had Jesus and Firmino 😉

    People who considering Sanchez, please dont. I have been watching each and every match of Manutd and atleast in last 3 Sanchez played, he has been worst player on pitch. He is spraying his signature through balls no doubt but not the killing ones like before and he isnt dribbling as probably getting confused with Mou positional play. Three best players recently have been Matic, Lukaku, Valencia in that order.
    Matic ofcourse poor fpl choice and for me Valencia is too much out of reach as going with Alonso too
