Double Gameweek 34 Confirmed

The Premier League have belatedly revealed a number of rescheduled fixtures to confirm Double Gameweek 34.

However, the news is not quite what many had anticipated, with only eight teams set to play twice.

Indeed, just one of the matches postponed in Gameweek 31 due to FA Cup matches – Burnley vs Chelsea – has so far been rescheduled.

This is joined by three matches shifted out of Gameweek 35 for similar reasons – Brighton vs Spurs, Bournemouth vs Man United and Leicester vs Southampton.

Essentially, then, the eight sides facing a Double Gameweek 34, and their subsequent schedules, are as follows.

Confirmed Double Gameweek 34 schedule
Bournemouth (liv MUN)
Brighton (cry TOT)
Burnley (LEI CHE)
Chelsea (sot bur)
Leicester (bur SOT)
Man United (WBA bou)
Southampton (CHE lei)
Spurs (MCI bha)

Of the eight, Burnley are the only side to play two home matches in this round.

Up against Leicester and Chelsea at Turf Moor in Gameweek 34, though, Sean Dyche’s men hardly have it easy. Indeed, they are one of three teams – along with Bournemouth and Southampton – to face top eight opponents on both occasions.

However, Burnley are the only Double Gameweek 34 outfit to also play in Gameweek 35, when they make their way to Stoke.

Meanwhile, Man United are the only side to go up against opponents outwith the top eight, while just one team – Chelsea – hit the road on two occasions.

As a result of today’s announcement, the following matches still require a new date.

Chelsea vs Huddersfield
Leicester vs Arsenal
Man City vs Brighton
Swansea vs Southampton
Tottenham vs Newcastle
West Ham vs Man United

The Premier League have confirmed that these will be rescheduled by Tuesday April 3 – before Gameweek 33 – though it is anticipated that 12 teams will now face a Double Gameweek 37.

We will have more reaction and analysis of the implications on today’s announcement later, with a series of articles over the next week ahead of the Gameweek 32 deadline on Saturday March 31.

Yer. Not that much difference. Each to own but I'll take my team over the garbage that some are taking into a gw36 wc.

A little lost...for those with active WC and no FH, does the below sound about right?

    GW32 (WC) - 3 Liverpool, 3 Burnley, combination of decent GW32, GW33 and DGW 34 Players
GW33+GW34 - Save one FT, transfer in a good DGW player (with bad GW32 fixture)
DGW34 - Transfer in 1 more DGW player, ideally 8 DGW players + 3 Liverpool. Triple Captain
BGW35 - Bring two players in with FTs (should take it up to 8 players), take -4/-8/-12 if needed to field more
    GW36 - Save FT
DGW37 - Use 2 FT and take hits as needed. Bench Boost

    Cheers.

Guys I’m leaning towards BB37 with 12 DGW teams with better fixtures.

BB34 only consists of MUN,CHE,LEI and Son. I think an 11 can max out the DGW. Especially If you go premiums like Hazard/Bailly/Lukaku/Mahrez and Vardy with a cheap bench.

Whereas BB37 consists of Fabianski/Arnie/Auba/Kane/City potentials.

What are the budget midfield options for DGW34 now that Ki & Kennedy are no longer viable options?

Gud, Cork, McTom (waste of 3rd UTD though), Knockaert (will be back in time), Propper...

    Could anyone help me?
With a few transfers my team can go into 32, 33 and 34 DGW.

It would look like this in DGW 34.

    Courtois/Hennessey
    Robertson/Zanka/Morgan/Davies/Smalling
    Ramsey/Willian/Salah/Mahrez/Ibe
    Vardy/Lukaku/Firmino

I still have the WC, BB and TC left.

I'm gonna surely BB in GW 35 and TC in 37.

But I'm thinking of waiting till GW 36 to Wildcard.

Is it gonna be too late?

When you think you know what Pep will do, he changes up. But if you're sure he'll change up, he probably won't.

But don't think about that too much, otherwise your brain will hurt.

So lost now. On W/C and no Free Hit transfer. If I bench boost in 34, I literally have 3 Burnley players for 35. Ugh.

On an active WC. I have FH & BB available. Which is the best option:

    A) FH34, BB37 (means load up on GW35 players who have GW37 double)

    B) BB34 FH35 (original plan - load up on GW34&GW37 doublers).

Depends on the players you pick of course, but if you happy with what United, Spurs, Chelsea and Leicester offer - then A.

      A) also should be less affected by rotation. And being relatively soon, you have less chance of your BB squad being hit by injuries etc.

With a relatively middling team value, don't think I need to look past this wildcard team? BB in 34. FH in 35.

    DDG, Ryan
    Christensen, Smalling, Tarkowski, Lowton, Morgan
    Salah, Son, Mahrez, Gross, Willian
    Lukaku, Aubameyang, Murray

    Exact money.

Not entirely sure - but likely one of Lukaku and Aubameyang would have to make way. Funded in part by downgrading one of the midfielders who has nothing less to play for.

does anyone know the impact of wc'ing in gw35 straight after a fh in gw34 ? The team would normally revert back to pre gw34 in gw35 but would a wc affect the way this is dealt with in some way ? Is there even a merit to doing this, just thinking out loud you could rebuild your team in the blank gw35 ?

Thoughts on this with 1.3M ITB?

      DDG - Ryan
      Alonso - Lowton - Bailly - Morgan - Christensen
      Stanislas - Mahrez - Son - Willian - Salah
      Vardy - Auba - Barnes

      The plan being:
      - Auba -> Lukaku in GW 34 (I won't need to take a hit)
      - BB in GW 34 with a bench of Ryan vs cpa+TOT, Lowton vs LEI+CHE, Morgan vs bur+SOU, Stanislas vs liv+MUN
      - FH GW 35
      - TC Kane vs wba+NEW in GW 37 - and have a starting 11 with 9 or 10 DGWers

So what's the ideal strike force now for Wildcarders? Aubu no longer has a double in 34. Looking at the fixtures it's a shame Morata isn't on form.

Auba for 32 and 33 looks good then swap him to Lukaku for the DGW. With perhaps Vardy and Murray alongside. But what about Firmino?

Maybe set up team with Auba and Firmino for 32 and 33, then use 2FT's for best strikeforce at the time and hope no injuries elsewhere.

        How is this WC team:

        Ryan Lloris
        Christensen Tarkowski Smalling Bailly Morgan
        Mahrez Salah Son Willian Gudmundsson
        Auba Lukaku Murray

        Gw. 33 save
Gw 34 Auba to Vardy OR Auba to Kane and Son to Gross (if Kane is fit) and BB
        Gw 35. FH.

        Thoughts?.

Alonso and Vardy for Christensen and Auba is also an option, but that would make my Kane implementation a bit more difficult.

No cards? It is possible to get a full team of dgw ers for 34 (tc), a full 11 for 35 and full load for 37 (B.B.) excluding two Liverpool players.

I'm toying with the idea of replacing Aguero with Aubemeyang now. With his current injury and the upcoming CL games, his minutes may not be great. Aubemayang plays every week with one fixture tbc for week 37 (probably) and has scored steadily so far. There's also only 1 really tough fixture left for Arsenal.

A is maguire a good pick ? i have 5.6 to spend on a defender and he looks like the only decent option at that price (smalling not nailed when jones is back)

        B Is A Young a good pick for 5th mid ?

        thanks all 🙂

For those of you without a FH, are you using the BB in 34 or 37? I do see merit in using it in 37, but that leaves me with two concerns

        1. Is Lukaku/Kane/Sanchez really worth considering for the TC in 34, when you could TC Kane in 37?
        2. There might be a lot of rotation in 37 which could potentially make the BB way less effective as auto subs could be needed regardless.

        Thoughts?

I am using TC on Sanchez in GW34 and BB in 37.

Not really scared of the rotation since I will WC in GW36 building the best team as possible for BB in GW37.
