The Premier League have belatedly revealed a number of rescheduled fixtures to confirm Double Gameweek 34.

However, the news is not quite what many had anticipated, with only eight teams set to play twice.

Indeed, just one of the matches postponed in Gameweek 31 due to FA Cup matches – Burnley vs Chelsea – has so far been rescheduled.

This is joined by three matches shifted out of Gameweek 35 for similar reasons – Brighton vs Spurs, Bournemouth vs Man United and Leicester vs Southampton.

Essentially, then, the eight sides facing a Double Gameweek 34, and their subsequent schedules, are as follows.

Confirmed Double Gameweek 34 schedule
Bournemouth (liv MUN)
Brighton (cry TOT)
Burnley (LEI CHE)
Chelsea (sot bur)
Leicester (bur SOT)
Man United (WBA bou)
Southampton (CHE lei)
Spurs (MCI bha)

Of the eight, Burnley are the only side to play two home matches in this round.

Up against Leicester and Chelsea at Turf Moor in Gameweek 34, though, Sean Dyche’s men hardly have it easy. Indeed, they are one of three teams – along with Bournemouth and Southampton – to face top eight opponents on both occasions.

However, Burnley are the only Double Gameweek 34 outfit to also play in Gameweek 35, when they make their way to Stoke.

Meanwhile, Man United are the only side to go up against opponents outwith the top eight, while just one team – Chelsea – hit the road on two occasions.

As a result of today’s announcement, the following matches still require a new date.

Chelsea vs Huddersfield
Leicester vs Arsenal
Man City vs Brighton
Swansea vs Southampton
Tottenham vs Newcastle
West Ham vs Man United

The Premier League have confirmed that these will be rescheduled by Tuesday April 3 – before Gameweek 33 – though it is anticipated that 12 teams will now face a Double Gameweek 37.

We will have more reaction and analysis of the implications on today’s announcement later, with a series of articles over the next week ahead of the Gameweek 32 deadline on Saturday March 31.

Will you captain Salah over double gameweek 34 big names?

i am saving TC for 38 when Salah has Brighton at home and may get 6 goals with no pressure.

So after this news, how's this WC team:

    DDG - Ryan
    Alonso - Bailly - Christensen - Tark - Morgan
    Salah - Mahrez - Son - Willian - Gudmundsson
    Lukaku - Vardy - Murray

Its what I imagine the template will look like with some going Auba over Kaku for next two. Some might also switch Gud + Murray for Groß + Barnes/Wood.

Would be Groß + Barnes if I knew Barnes was nailed. Probably Murray + Gud for now due to Murray being on pens.

unfortunately weak bench for a BB, so maybe BB 37 and TC Kaku 34?

so if you don't have a free hit wild carding for gw 34 bb is pretty much pointless.

Prepare for GW37 BB with best possible SGWers and you might survive GW34-37 I guess

Still looking to BB in 34 as rotation risk in 37 will be greater. Just focus on a solid spine and three Liverpool players I reckon

    How is this WC team:

    Ryan Lloris
    Christensen Tarkowski Smalling Bailly Morgan
    Mahrez Salah Son Willian Gudmundsson
    Auba Lukaku Murray

    Gw. 33 save
Gw 34 Auba to Vardy OR Auba to Kane and Son to Gross (if Kane is fit) and BB
    Gw 35. FH

    Thoughts?.

So it looks like the thing to do was to hold the WC until GW36 - typical, I just can't catch a break this year. Has anybody figured out a way for those who've already WCded to cleverly use the chips to their advantage? I was wondering if building a team for BB DGW37 was an option, and FH in 34 instead.

Oh I dont know. I saved WC but have TC, BB and FH still to play but as I don't have huge numbers for dgw34 I suspect I will still WC now or 33 to load up on double-doubles.

How does this look - on a WC:

    £0.2itb
    DDG (Ryan)
    Alonso, Bailly, Morgan, Lowton (Christensen)
    Salah, Mahrez, Willian, Son (Gros)
    Auba, Firmino (Murray)

Will probably do: Firmino, Auba >> Lukaku, Vardy for GW34

What do you reckon? I have my FH and BB left

I'm in the same boat, try set yourself up best you can so you have as many DGW players in GW34 but can still field a full eleven in GW35 with only a few transfers. Probably best trying to roll over a transfer in GW34 so you have two free ones ahead of GW35. Get cheap keeper/defenders from teams who play in GW35 (Watford, Stoke, Everton) and stick them on your bench. Burnley have a double in GW34 and play in GW35 so getting a couple of their players seems like a no brainer to me.

    Cech McCarthy
    Alonso Robbo Lowton Chilwell Mariappa
    Son Sterling Salah Willian King
    Lukaku Firmino Auba

Gets me 7 with a DGW and three Liverpool players for the BB in GW34
    Field 10 in GW35
Have 11 with a DGW and Kane back for TC in 37 (will likely bench King and McCarthy, even with the DGW)

TBH Salah with a SGW looks good for TC GW34

        BB in 37 for me.

I don't have TC, so see the quandary for those who do.

Would also allow Harold to be more fit than he would be for GW34
