The Premier League have belatedly revealed a number of rescheduled fixtures to confirm Double Gameweek 34.

However, the news is not quite what many had anticipated, with only eight teams set to play twice.

Indeed, just one of the matches postponed in Gameweek 31 due to FA Cup matches – Burnley vs Chelsea – has so far been rescheduled.

This is joined by three matches shifted out of Gameweek 35 for similar reasons – Brighton vs Spurs, Bournemouth vs Man United and Leicester vs Southampton.

Essentially, then, the eight sides facing a Double Gameweek 34, and their subsequent schedules, are as follows.

Confirmed Double Gameweek 34 schedule
Bournemouth (liv MUN)
Brighton (cry TOT)
Burnley (LEI CHE)
Chelsea (sot bur)
Leicester (bur SOT)
Man United (WBA bou)
Southampton (CHE lei)
Spurs (MCI bha)

Of the eight, Burnley are the only side to play two home matches in this round.

Up against Leicester and Chelsea at Turf Moor in Gameweek 34, though, Sean Dyche’s men hardly have it easy. Indeed, they are one of three teams – along with Bournemouth and Southampton – to face top eight opponents on both occasions.

However, Burnley are the only Double Gameweek 34 outfit to also play in Gameweek 35, when they make their way to Stoke.

Meanwhile, Man United are the only side to go up against opponents outwith the top eight, while just one team – Chelsea – hit the road on two occasions.

As a result of today’s announcement, the following matches still require a new date.

Chelsea vs Huddersfield
Leicester vs Arsenal
Man City vs Brighton
Swansea vs Southampton
Tottenham vs Newcastle
West Ham vs Man United

The Premier League have confirmed that these will be rescheduled by Tuesday April 3 – before Gameweek 33 – though it is anticipated that 12 teams will now face a Double Gameweek 37.

We will have more reaction and analysis of the implications on today’s announcement later, with a series of articles over the next week ahead of the Gameweek 32 deadline on Saturday March 31.

Any midfielders 4.9m or less with a DGW I can get on WC? Would be 5th midfielder and playing 3-4-3

Would be ideal if he plays 33.

Hello guys how are you? RMWCT. I seem to have a smaller value than everyone else with 0 ITB.

    DDG, Ryan

    Smalling, Alonso, Lowton, Dummet, Chilwell

    Mahrez, Son, Willian, Salah, Cork

    Lukaku, Vardy, Barnes

    I plan to B.B 34, FH 35, TC 37.

How would you accommodate Man City players for GW37?

I assume every team would have a midfield of Salah, Willian, Son and Mahrez now. Strikers you'll have for GW37 will probably be Kane and Vardy. So sell who for Man City attackers? There's no room or budget.

Lots of questions will arise now about whether Gross and Barnes or Gudmundsson and Murray is the better combo.

Total price: 11.3 versus 11.0 in favour of Gud/Murray
Total points: 201 versus 194 in favour of Gross/Barnes (heavily driven by Gross’ early season form)
Form: A cumulative 11.0 versus 11.3 in favour of Gud/Murray

Tight as a drum. Could throw a dart at it.

Given not much difference between the two pairs I’ll go with the one that allows me to invest 0.3 elsewhere...

I am really confused by this and worried now that the original strategy of BB 34, FH 35, TC 37 doesn't work as well, since 37 will have more DGW.

The main casualties of this for 34 (as far as I can see) are Newcastle, Arsenal and Swansea players. Is that correct? I've already wildcarded and have 5 from those teams, with the view of having 14 DGW players for 34 and BB, should these be discarded now?

You still need to WC in 15 starters for 37, no?

Well no, if I’m BB37 I can WC 12-13 starters in order to get the Alonso/Hazard and mahrez whom I can downgrade to upgrade my bench for 37.

No use in logging a 15 man squad from GW32 till 37 for a bench boost which will reduce your potential in the 4 weeks prior.

If you dont have the FH chip is it better to WC gw 36 and BB gw 37 and go TC in gw 34 ?

I've been on FFS a long time and I've seen many a gobshite come and go.

But there is a poster who is on this afternoon who is quite possibly the most irritating person that has ever logged onto the internet.

Early thoughts on this WC? (BB 34, FH35, TC37)

    DDG - Ryan
    Chistensen - Smalling - Morgan - Lowton - Tarkowski
    Salah - Son - Willian - Mahrez - Gross
    Auba - Vardy - Barnes

    2.9m itb.

If Kane isnt back for 34:
Auba + Tarkowski ----> Lukaku +Spurs def for free

If Kane is back anmd looks like starting both gw34 fixtures:
    Auba + Vardy + Son ----> Kane + Lukaku + 6m mid (will have to take a hit, -4)

    Thoughts?

After today's news, is Ryan now a better option than Fabianski to partner de Gea on wildcard?

A double in GW34 for BB and Huddersfield (H) when United play City.

If you want to BB in 34 yes, but Everton at home isn't a bad fixture. For those thinking of BB37 Fabianski has much better fixtures.

Part of me is tempted by a budget Ryan/Fab combo, but United's tactics and DDG's ownership could be punishing.

The only reason I want to BB34 is because I'd rather TC Kane against (wba,NEW) than Lukaku against (WBA, bou).

Yeah, same. And if not Kane then a City player, Hazard or even a Leicester punt could be good in 37.

Done then, I think. 0.1itb Too top heavy?

    Ryan, DDG
    Christensen, Morgan, Lowton, Chillwell, Stephens
    Salah, Gross, Willian, Son, Gudmundsson
    Kaku, Vardy, Auba

Could also be Mahrez/Barnes instead of Vardy/Gudmundsson.
