The Premier League have belatedly revealed a number of rescheduled fixtures to confirm Double Gameweek 34.

However, the news is not quite what many had anticipated, with only eight teams set to play twice.

Indeed, just one of the matches postponed in Gameweek 31 due to FA Cup matches – Burnley vs Chelsea – has so far been rescheduled.

This is joined by three matches shifted out of Gameweek 35 for similar reasons – Brighton vs Spurs, Bournemouth vs Man United and Leicester vs Southampton.

Essentially, then, the eight sides facing a Double Gameweek 34, and their subsequent schedules, are as follows.

Confirmed Double Gameweek 34 schedule
Bournemouth (liv MUN)
Brighton (cry TOT)
Burnley (LEI CHE)
Chelsea (sot bur)
Leicester (bur SOT)
Man United (WBA bou)
Southampton (CHE lei)
Spurs (MCI bha)

Of the eight, Burnley are the only side to play two home matches in this round.

Up against Leicester and Chelsea at Turf Moor in Gameweek 34, though, Sean Dyche’s men hardly have it easy. Indeed, they are one of three teams – along with Bournemouth and Southampton – to face top eight opponents on both occasions.

However, Burnley are the only Double Gameweek 34 outfit to also play in Gameweek 35, when they make their way to Stoke.

Meanwhile, Man United are the only side to go up against opponents outwith the top eight, while just one team – Chelsea – hit the road on two occasions.

As a result of today’s announcement, the following matches still require a new date.

Chelsea vs Huddersfield
Leicester vs Arsenal
Man City vs Brighton
Swansea vs Southampton
Tottenham vs Newcastle
West Ham vs Man United

The Premier League have confirmed that these will be rescheduled by Tuesday April 3 – before Gameweek 33 – though it is anticipated that 12 teams will now face a Double Gameweek 37.

We will have more reaction and analysis of the implications on today’s announcement later, with a series of articles over the next week ahead of the Gameweek 32 deadline on Saturday March 31.

So I have WC (not currently active), BB & TC but no FH left.

Tell me exactly when I should play each chip and ideally what players I need to get.

    Thanks as always...

      TC -34
      BB -37
WC should be somewhere in between, 35 or even better 36 if you manage without free falling down the ranks
And with players you should make some compromise, like 7-8 in dgw 34 and something close to 10-11 on gw 35 (leave all liverpool players in and stock up on burnley)

Is there a WC in 32 or 33 option you can advise?

Considering Sanchez and Vardy over Lukaku and Mahrez. Chasing a pretty big lead

Auba for 32, 33 and then Auba to Kaku in 34 looks perfect imo if on a WC.

Gotta know when Kane returns though.
I can get Kane in my team with 1 hit in 34 (if he looks like playing both games)

Imo, I just think Auba will outscore Lukaku by a fair margin in the next 2

For my team, Kane in for Vardy (-4)

As I said, I just think Auba's returns in 32, 33 will repay the -4 for Kane if he's fit

            Early WC draft:

            DDG - Ryan
            Chistensen - Smalling - Morgan - Lowton - Tarkowski
            Salah - Son - Willian - Mahrez - Gross
            Auba - Vardy - Barnes

            2.9m itb.

If Kane isnt back for 34:
Auba + Tarkowski ----> Lukaku +Spurs def for free

If Kane is back anmd looks like starting both gw34 fixtures:
            Auba + Vardy + Son ----> Kane + Lukaku + 6m mid (will have to take a hit, -4)

I am thinking something similar. Can't see a good 34 TC, so thinking BB34 and fix the team for 37 and TC Kane.

              DDG - Ryan
              Alonso - Vertonghen - Tarky - Morgan - Christensen
              Salah - Son - Willian - Mahrez - Gross
              Kaku - Vardy - Barnes

Going with Kaku over Auba in case I need to save the FT for Kane if back for 34. But similar to yours without the planned advanced transfers (as planned transfers never goes to plan for me).

              Thoughts?

Besides, he's a slow starter after coming back from injuries (it doesnt always have to be like that, but still), also 1 of those matches is against City.

This. People seem to take for granted nowadays that Kane would outscore Lukaku if both are fit, but conveniently forget that Lukaku easily beat Kane on the 5-6 weeks prior to Kane's injury.

    Haz draft.

    DDG Ryan
    Alonso Christensen Lowton Morgan Stephens
    Salah Hazard Mahrez Son Cork
    Auba Firmino Murray

    34: Auba + Firmino -> Kaku + Vardy

Probably not worth those millions over Willian.

For those with WC, TC and no Free Hit. Ensure you have 5/6 DGW players for GW34 and then 5/6 players for the BGW35, perhaps 1/2 on the bench. You could then take a -4 or a -8 to still field 9/10 in the BGW35. You'd have to plan well and play your transfers very well, in the run in!

In the mean time a Mahrez Triple Captain in 34 looks good, aswell as a WC36 in time for the BB in 37!

This is all i can think of for us with no FH

  15. SkipperTG

One thought against waiting to GW37 to bench boost.

Reality is that when you BB, your entire subs bench will be made up of 'lesser' players - because frankly, you cannot afford anything else.

So whilst GW37 looks amazing for the BB, perhaps the starting XI in a non BB team would suffice in terms of taking advantage of those fixtures.

    1. Pierce34
      • 10 Years
      8 years, 3 months ago

37 looks the better one for both BB and TC (much like two years ago when there was a smaller and a bigger DGW) for sure. On the other hand, if planning to BB 37, there's no chance we'd be able to afford decent bench players AND have all the premium players we want, with the likes of Kane, Aubameyang, Alonso, Hazard, City and United players all available.

    2. MTPockets
      8 years, 3 months ago

Agree. Too much risk of not enough spare for a decent bench that week.

Surely one factor is that Man City players in GW37 are going to be a rotation nightmare. You can probably count them out of any possible bench boost. In theory some of teams involved may not have much to play for either. To me it just feels too late in the season to bench boost.

Surely one or two of KDB, Silva, Sterling, Sane, Aguero, and Jesus will play minutes in these games. Its finding the right names. City home to Brighton and Huddersfield. Rotation or not, im not going without

    3. Pasqualinho
      • 17 Years
      8 years, 3 months ago

That's a risk, for sure. So is doing it in GW34 three or four days before an FA Cup Semi for some clubs. But you have to make a choice, roll the dice, and hope the number you want comes up.

Ederson and Bernardo Silva could be inspired picks.

It makes sense when you think like that but just remember last year. Chelsea was in a similar situation with City but most of the people with BB still made huge impact with scores around 200s. As I remember, I jumped from 30K to 10K. By the way I am still planinnig to play BB on GW34 this year because 3 Liverpool players will be as effective as DGWers that week in my opinion.

    GW34 Aubameyang & Monreal > Lukaku & Christensen BB giving 14DGW players + Salah.

Would obviously prefer Willian + £3m but have massive doubts over his gametime. Despite his form, Pedro isn't crap and Conte obviously likes him, hard to see Willian starting every game

Then Bobby + Auba to become Lukaku + Vardy in GW34.

Im 1 point ahead of my mini league rival. He has all his chips, im missing the FH, but he has wildcarded this week. Who's favourite? Surely him?

You have no need to hold on to fabianski. You might as well change him to a cheaper dgw goalie eg ryan. It would give you 0.2 more to spend on your United defender.
Otherwise I like your plan. Good luck.

So with the news about gw34 I’m looking for some advise what to do with my squad. No WC available and I used my ft to do Wilson > Auba earlier in the week.

Probably looking at using Bench Boost in gw37 as it’s my only chip left.

    Ryan Adrian
    Davies Maguire VVD Schindler Francis
    Salah Sane Mahrez Mkhi Ibe
    Auba Firmino Mounie

    0ft 2.3itb

    Cheers

Probably need to look at the switch between 34/35 fixtures.
