England see off a very limited Netherlands side, Mohamed Salah scores again and a pair of West Ham players enjoy time off from their club struggles on a packed night of international football.

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard’s 59th-minute goal handed England a deserved win in Amsterdam, although the quality of the opposition left much to be desired.

A run of four goals in five matches from Gameweek 18 led to his ownership rising to more than 1.1 million, but just one strike since then has seen that dip down to the 630,000-mark, or 9.4%.

Once a Gameweek 33 trip to Man City is done, United’s schedule offers the promise of good returns, starting with a double Gameweek 34 involving a visit from West Brom and an away match with Bournemouth. They should also have another double-header to come, probably in Gameweek 37 comprising of trips to Brighton and West Ham.

That has persuaded 140,000+ FPL managers to make Romelu Lukaku Gameweek 32’s most popular transfer target so far.

Lingard’s inconsistency counts against him, but his 6.0 price tag and the fact that he’s featured in every match since Gameweek 14 – although that included a one-minute appearance against Liverpool last time out – might tempt some to draft him in as a fourth, or fifth, midfielder.

England coach Gareth Southgate opted for a three-man defence and then sent out an eyebrow-raising three right-backs as part of the plan.

Kyle Walker and Joe Gomez partnered John Stones at the back, with Kieran Trippier employed at right wing-back and his club colleague Danny Rose on the opposite flank.

The experiment lasted just 10 minutes before Gomez, owned by 3.3% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, limped off with an ankle injury that could promote the domestic claims of his Liverpool team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold (3.8%). Gomez will be assessed ahead of Tuesday’s meeting with Italy.

Only a late-season trip to Chelsea ruffles an otherwise smooth run-in for the Reds, with a fixture in the reduced Gameweek 35, at West Brom, another reason why many are keeping faith in their squad in the short term despite a lack of double Gameweeks.

Two other members of Jurgen Klopp’s side, Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played the full 90 minutes last night, while match-winner Lingard’s club colleague Marcus Rashford started up front and was unlucky not to earn a penalty.

Harry Maguire replaced Gomez and impressed, and Jordan Pickford earned the nod in goal and kept a clean sheet in a relatively untroubled display that spoke volumes for the limitations of the hosts, who had six shots on target to England’s three without ever truly threatening.

Virgil van Dijk, Patrick van Aanholt and Georginio Wijnaldum started and finished the match for the Dutch, with Brighton midfielder Davy Propper introduced after 66 minutes.

Spurs midfielder Dele Alli was given only 22 minutes from the bench last night, but his 11.7% ownership will probably have to endure a longer run-out from their man when England take on Italy on Tuesday.

Jamie Vardy, currently the fourth most purchased player ahead of Gameweek 32, was limited to a substitute appearance last night and failed to get a touch of the ball.

Mixed night for Liverpool trio

Liverpool’s much-vaunted (and well-owned) front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane had markedly different international experiences yesterday.

Salah, at 62.3% the most owned FPL player, continued his remarkable season with yet another goal in Egypt’s 2-1 loss to Portugal.

The midfielder played 79 minutes and opened the scoring before two Cristiano Ronaldo goals in stoppage time rescued matters for the Portuguese.

Ahmed Hegazi and Mohamed Elneny played the full 90 minutes for the visitors, as did Cédric Soares for Portugal, while Man City’s Bernardo Silva was given 68 minutes for the hosts.

Firmino’s 48.3% ownership puts him second only to Salah for FPL popularity, but the Brazilian had to make do with a 25-minute appearance from the bench in their 3-0 win over Russia.

The striker came on for Gabriel Jesus in Moscow as the Man City man stepped up his return from injury.

Chelsea’s Willian was another starter on the night and the midfielder, who has two goals from his last three league starts, continued his fine form with an assist from a 79-minute run-out.

That should keep his 12.4% ownership happy ahead of a strong schedule that includes a double Gameweek 34 away at Southampton and Burnley and another double, probably involving home matches with Liverpool and Huddersfield, still to be confirmed.

Man City midfielder Fernandinho was an unused sub last night, as was the third member of the Liverpool trio, Sadio Mane, who played no part in Senegal’s 1-1 draw with Uzbekistan.

Everton striker Oumar Niasse started and played 66 minutes, while Crystal Palace’s Pape Souaré was given 74 minutes as he continued his return to match fitness following his car accident.

Big guns in action

All of football’s superpowers were in action last night, some of them facing each other.

Germany and Spain played out a 1-1 draw in Dusseldorf which featured a number of Premier League stars.

Mesut Ozil played the full 90 minutes for the hosts. However he has now returned to Arsenal and will miss the friendly with Brazil on Tuesday. There are no confirmed reports of an injury so this may well be an arrangement with the Gunners. Thomas Muller – last night’s goalscorer – has also returned to his club Bayern Munich.

Elsewhere in that match, Man City duo Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane came off the bench to play 37 and 22 minutes respectively for the Germans, while Antonio Rüdiger was an unused sub, which was also the fate that befell Spain and Chelsea pair César Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.

David De Gea played the full game for the Spanish, who also handed David Silva a 71-minute run-out.

Argentina beat Italy 2-0 in a friendly played at the Etihad Stadium in front of a large crowd that came, in part, to watch Lionel Messi but were ‘treated’ to 90 minutes of the megastar sitting in the stands alongside Sergio Aguero. The Man City striker has now been ruled out of Tuesday’s friendly with Spain.

Aguero’s team-mate Nicolas Otamendi played 90 minutes for Argentina alongside debutant Willy Caballero – first-choice keeper Sergio Romero and his Man United colleague Marcos Rojo stayed on the bench – while West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini was another to be given a full run-out and marked it with a goal.

Chelsea win-back Davide Zappacosta played 29 minutes for the Italians, with Matteo Darmian and Angelo Ogbonna unused subs.

Another major Europe versus South America clash involved France and Colombia, with the latter coming from two goals down to win 3-2 in Paris.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud scored the opener when he punished an error from Arsenal keeper David Ospina, who joined Spurs defender Davinson Sanchez in playing the full match for the visitors.

Hugo Lloris and N’Golo Kanté did likewise for the French, Giroud played 73 minutes and out-of-sorts Man United midfielder Paul Pogba came on for the final 25 minutes.

Laurent Koscielny and Anthony Martial were unused substitutes. With the former’s fitness being carefully managed at this time.

Arnautovic excels

Austria beat Slovenia 3-0 thanks to a brace from West Ham’s 4.1%-owned asset Marko Arnautovic.

The midfielder’s FPL ownership is close to half that of its 500,000 peak in Gameweek 22, he’s scored just twice in the league since then and the Hammers’ schedule – they’ll face Chelsea, Arsenal and both Manchester sides before the season’s end – is unlikely to arrest that slide.

Stoke City’s Moritz Bauer and Leicester City defender Aleksandar Dragovic remained on the bench for the Austrians, but there were some notable contributions from other Premier League players last night.

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses earned and converted the penalty that gave Nigeria a 1-0 win in Poland.

He and Wilfred Ndidi played the full 90 minutes, with Kelechi Iheanacho given 82 and Alex Iwobi 59 minutes respectively.

Lukasz Fabianski featured for the first half, and West Brom midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak for the whole match, for the Poles.

Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic scored Serbia’s goal in their 1-2 home loss to Morocco.

He played 70 minutes, while Nemanja Matic was given 67 and Luka Milivojevic came on at half-time, with Tadic’s club-mate Sofiane Boufal an unused sub for the visitors.

Arsenal wing-back Sead Kolasinac was another to make his mark last night as he played the full match and set up Bosnia and Herzegovina’s winner in their 1-0 victory in Bulgaria, while Huddersfield playmaker Aaron Mooy provided Australia’s assist in their 4-1 drubbing by Norway.

Brighton keeper Mat Ryan joined Mooy in playing the full 90 minutes.

Elsewhere…

Liverpool’s 7.5%-owned full-back Andrew Robertson (90), Newcastle’s Matt Ritchie (87) and Man United youngster Scott McTominay (58) all featured for Scotland in their 0-1 home loss to Costa Rica.

Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser was an unused sub.

Everton striker Cenk Tosun failed in his quest to find the net for a fourth straight match as Turkey beat the Republic of Ireland 1-0.

He played 64 minutes, while Shane Duffy, Kevin Long, James McClean all had a full run-out for the Irish.

Tosun’s club-mate Seamus Coleman played 63 minutes, Jeff Hendrick 80, Shane Long 28 and Ciaran Clark 21.

Greece lost 0-1 to Switzerland, with Watford keeper Orestis Karnezis playing the full match for the hosts and Granit Xhaka doing likewise for the Swiss.

Leicester defender Yohan Benalouane was another 90-minute man as Tunisia beat Iran 1-0, Man City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko played 65 minutes in Ukraine’s 1-1 draw in Saudi Arabia and Johann Berg Gudmundsson was given 81 minutes in Iceland’s 3-0 loss to Mexico, with West Ham striker Chicharito an unused sub for the hosts.

I would read the scout notes. If a player plays a lot of minutes in the international friendlies, they are less likely to play in 32.

    My squad on WC now:
    0.6 IDB

    Lloris, Hennessey
    Mustafi, Tarkowski, Smalling, Morgan, Mariappa
    Salah, Mahrez, Son, Wilian, DSilva
    Firmino, Auba, Barnes

    A)Firmino+DSilva
    B)Lukaku+Gross

There is also possibility to get B in gw34 for free
and then in gw35 get back A.
    Opinions?

    No Free Hit Chip Plans

Following Gameweek 31 there are now far more Fantasy managers without their Free Hit chip. Its deployment in that blank Gameweek was a success, as Ragabolly’s research showed. https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2018/03/18/metrics-was-the-free-hit-a-success/

But now those without a free hit chip have to navigate two double Gameweeks and another blank fixture.

What tips would you give those without this chip on surviving the season run in?

For those without a Free Hit chip what is your strategy?

Those players with a fixture in Gameweek 35 look key to get in – which ones look best for the free hit less?

I feel sorry for those like the FPL General with no free hit. It looks brutal dealing with the run in without it.

I guess the only thing you can do is get triple Burnley and dip into the 6 teams with a double in 37 and no double in 34 on your Wildcard.

The same every year as in you will need all your chips for the run in ideally. With the introduction of the FH chip, using it in the blank weeks like 35 would be ideal.

Im not sure 35 is the best way of using this chip overall.
It can be if youre wcing in 32 or 33.

You dont need them in the run in. If you use them earlier and the outcome is good, then whos to say they made a mistake. Points in gw20 are worth the same as points in gw35.

The idea that chips around the doubles and blanks come end of season, are more likely to be more beneficial than earlier in the season, is prob the point worth getting across.

I'm not sure that the players experiencing green arrows gw25-30 and a 100+ points in 31 regret using their FH31. Also, I'm sure that those of us who captained Kane in earlier dgw, myself included, regrets doing that. But also, I'm certain that we enjoy the benefit of not havin to commit 100% to spuds, cfc and United assets at this point in time.

Its not the same every year. There's no winning formula. There's good ideas and bad ideas, and then there's chance. Makes it possible to Get points in a lot of different ways.

I, too, am bemused that almost every big name in FPL chased anemic 0.1m price rises rather than being a little bit patient and waiting until the fixtures were announced. I just can't get my head around the fact that they didn't wait a few days for the fixtures.

Cause they all bucked their teams up with Shaqiri, Walcott, Daniels, Mounie, van la Parra, Bauer and co, and now have no option but to WC out the muck.

With the benefit of hindsight- the dead end 31 strategy was always going to impact on final run in strategy more than DeadEnders could have imagined now the fixtures are the way they are...this point is being brushed under the carpet round these parts, rather than analysed and tucked away as wisdom for next season. They are where they are and they're having to make the best of a lame duck now. The fact is, bringing in a multitude of dross for 31 was simply not necessary and has drastically reduced the options available to early WC32'ers 🙁

I agree. With regards to the "dead end GW31" strategy, Tom from WGTA let go of the snowball at the top of the hill with this article: http://whogottheassist.com/a-plan-for-blanks-doubles-and-chips/ It was such a brilliant article at the time, but, now, in hindsight, it looks like the dead end strategy was a bad play and it is something we shouldn't look to repeat next season.

Nobody could have foreseen the catastrophe this would lead to, and it certainly made a lot of sense at the time though - I just couldn't bring myself to bring in the dross Walcotts and Shaqiris and left it late to move on BGW'ers. Cost me 3 pts in the end taking a -8 to field 10, and I'm benching the 3 who have dodgy fixtures this wk.

Well, It was a common saying on this website that 31 did not seem good in term of points.
So the best strategy for me was to stay open in terms of strategy to not be stuck.
So getting the 5 or 6 players from 31 that would get points and be ready to wc in 32 or do something else if needed.

Arsenal, Man City, Newcastle, Swansea and West Ham play in 35 and have a likely double in 37. I'd get a smattering of these players in on a Wildcard. Most gameweek 32 wildcarders will be so focused on their DGW34 BB they will overlook these teams and players.

and you could make a case for those who don´t wildcard now looses out on players in 32-34. playing a game that is based on probabilities and prediction will also involve several strategies and plans among the players, and every players individual choices will to some extent determine his or her strategy. and it´s just not only when you wildcard, it´s who you bring in to the side as well that matters in the end. I´m an early wildcarder, not just for the price but because i think that´s the best for my team in this moment, but it could go wrong, no doubt. Pros and cons for both i guess-)

Why do you feel sorry there are many ways to play the game and with a little bit of head scratching you will find that it’s actually quite easy to field 9-10 dgw players for 34, 11 our in Gw 35 with no hits and then use your FT to have 15 x dgw players in 37 for bench boost

the best way would be for them to make transfers even with hits from now till the blank gw35 and ensure a balanced mix of dgw and gw35 players

triple captain chip in dgw 34

use the wc in 36 and bb37 with a full 15 man dgw roster and use the 2FT in 38 to freshen their squad wuth a few punts.

No free hit so probably not going to field a full strength 35 team. Holding into 3 Liverpool and have just bought in aubameyang to cover the big players in that week. Otherwise prioritising big scores in double gameweeks over 35 right now. Will probably play 8 players maximum and hope not to be it too hard...

I am looking at 2 Burnley defenders, 2 Arsenal defenders, Pickford in goal as sub for De Gea, Salah, Barnes, Kenedy to give me 8 gw35 players potentially. Will then keep 2 fts and take a hit for 11 gw35 players. Will tc in gw34 and bb in gw37. The fixture list a bit of a disaster. But about damage limitation and getting competitive teams out every week. Have template midfield and big hitters up front for gw32-34

No FH and on WC so sticking with BB in 34 TC in 37.
Can get 3 burnley and 3 liverpool, maybe Auba.
Leaves 6/7 SGW. Leaves 8/9 DGW on BB.
Use 2 FTs to get 8/9 for 35. Maybe one hit.
      Thoughts?
BB in 37 puts me off with the inevitable World Cup rotation

Oh and plan for the blanks too. No point getting a ton of DGWers to only have 5 players next GW 😀

I think keeping City and Pool players is a good idea to cover the blanks.

I spent a long time on this at work yesterday. Currently on WC, no FH. This is what I came up with:

      DDG Hennessey
      Alonso Robertson Mustafi Lowton Simpson
      Salah Mahrez Willian Gross Gudmondsson
      Vardy Auba Firmino

Auba to Lukaku(c) and BB34, use subs and maybe a hit to field 9/10 in GW35, and then same again to field 9/10 DGW in 36, TC Kane. Genius!

Remarkably similar to me, at the moment I think I'll have Tarkowski and Son instead of Simpson and Willian, although there are a few other weigh ups I'm making too. I have the same plan pretty much too, although not sure if I'll get Lukaku for 34.

I reckon I'll have 10 DGWers for 34 BB (SGWers include keeper and 3 Liv vs BOU), a full 11 for 35 and 10 DGWers (+ Salah) for 37. I'm perfectly happy with that.

It's the boomerang aspect of getting your team back after a FH ends.

You can plan longer term for the season run with your normal team, but the FH gives you the ability to deal with one troublesome gameweek and then snapping back your original team that is covering multiple issues in multiple gameweeks.

      For me
Gw 33 wc 9 dgw including 3 Burnley
      Gw 34 tc, roll transfer
      Gw 35 11 starters with 2 frees
      Gw 37 14 dgw, bb
Obviously injuries will scupper that plan but seems to me better than
      Gw 34 6dgw, tc
      Gw 35 11 starters
      Gw 36 wc, 15dgw
      Gw 37 bb

On WC, no FH, Currently looking at the following as my WC team...

      Ederson // Ryan
      Monreal // Morgan // Lowton // Dummett // Hoorn
      Salah // Willian // Mahrez // Son // Gudmundsson
      Firmino // Auba // Vardy

Plan is GW33 Monreal -> Christrensen
GW34 have 9 DGW players + Salah, Firmino & Auba, some benching decisions to make. TC Mahrez or Willian

GW35 Willian -> DSilva (Have money ITB, field 9 players)
GW36 Firmino + Vardy -> Kane + Budget (no hit needed)
      GW37 Lowton + Salah -> DGWers for a -4 (14 DGWers for BB)

Its not ideal but I really don't think its a brutal position to be in by any means assuming the remaining fixtures get moved to 37

        The problem with BB 37...
Ederson - league won, WC soon, plays one game
Morgan/Lowton/ - nothing to play for, rotated?
Monreal - Europa league still to play for? Bench
        Salah - WC, CL?
        Mahrez - WC
Willian - Fa cup final? Out of top 4 race? WC
        Son - see above

        ... and so on..

Ederson, possible rotation risk, but keepers are less susceptible to this. I'll give you that one

Morgan & Mahrez, could be at the beach, but I honestly don't believe they will just switch off. I'll give you that as well as a genuine possibility, just not one I think will play out

Monreal - I will have for 1 week before transfering out for Christensen

Salah - Going to be transferred out on 37

Willian - Going to be transferred out on 35

Ya thats a big possibility for sure. With Leicester specifically I think they'll be fighting for a Europa League spot. City won the EFL & if anyone but Southampton with the FA Cup then those 2 qualification spots go to 6th & 7th (correct me if I'm wrong, very well could be on this).

With Arsenal having their eyes on winning the Europa League, I wouldn't be too surprised to see them draw a game or two before facing Leicester in the League. This could leave themselves Burnley & Leicester really battling it out for 6th-8th.

Its all Ifs Ands & Buts obviously, but thats what most of our pre-planning is really.

      gw36 wildcard keep Salah
gw37 bb with Salah out for Son/Mahrez for free
      gw38 Son/Mahrez back to Salah

I'd expect to be 20-30 pts down from gw34 and 20-30 up in gw37.

It's possible for me to go Auba -> Lukaku and captain him but he'd really have to hit a hot streak for me to consider him, would mean a hit to reverse that in 35.
I just don't see Lukaku scoring 3 goals plus over 2 games cos Man U haven't been playing like that under Moaningho.

Ya I think Lukaku or Mahrez could end up working out really well for the TC in 34. Lukaku & Utd haven't looked amazing going forward put he just keeps on getting points, probably a lower ceiling than Mahrez for the DGW unless Utd start to attack more. Will be keeping a close eye on them to see if the stats start to improve

I really like Lukaku and he seems the obvious captain pick for 34. I'm wondering though, with an FA cup semi final on the Saturday, whether Mourinho might play a weakened team vs Bournemouth on the Wednesday night. I realise Lukaku has been immune to rotation but Mou will want to win a trophy... I could bring him in, but means having one less GW35 player. At the moment I think I'll go for Auba in 34 and 35 as he'll play a guaranteed two games. Will probably bring in Lukaku for 37.

Very good point on the FA Cup front. There'll definitely be some key players rested for that match but I'd say Lukaku is more likely to just play 70 mins in both of the DGW fixtures than be rested. Defence & Midfield is a minefield for rotation though.

i think the fixture announcement has worked out very well for them, even if wc already activated. keep the pool and city assets, load up on arsenal and budgets from swans and west ham with benchable players from the FA cup semis and bench boost in 37. use free transfers to get as many 34 dgw players in and out.

I used my free hit in 31 and am adamant I've gone with the correct strategy.

I'll take a -4 in GW34, get out 9 DGWers, Salah, and Firmino
Wildcard in GW35 and load up on City, Arsenal, and a bit of Swansea
Bench boost in GW37 and get out 14DGW's and Salah

      GW35 to look something like:

      Ederson / Lloris
      Alonso / Mustafi / Fernandez / Simpson / Lowton
      Salah / Mahrez / Mkhitaryan / Mane / Ki
      Firmino / Aubameyang / Ayew

I've then got 2 FT's to get Kane in should I want him, and Mane and Firmino available to free up funds

My plan looks something like this and I feel is a good alternative for managers without FH

WC 32 - mix of DGW 34 players and others with good fixtures. Bench consists of players with games in GW 35.

TC 34 - Kaku or even Sanchez. We would have jumped at the chance to TC either of these last season on I am looking for ML diffs.

BGW 35 - Bring in subs and use 2 saved FT's to field around 7-8 players. Some will be city but interested to see what players emerge if the title is wrapped up then.

BB 37 - Put together BB team with players from WC, 2 FT's and a hit or two.

Maverick maybe but used FH actually in DGW 22. This netted me 20 - 30 pts more than my ML rivals. Must point out here ML is my main aim so may be too risky for overall rank. I either want to win my ML or finish last! Chasing so plan to go out in a blaze of glory!

I've burnt my free hit, and had already activated my wildcard for this gameweek, so when I first looked at the impact of the fixture scheduling I was a bit dismayed, but I've come to terms with it now and aren't too scared by it all. So here's my plan if it reassures anyone in the same position that it's manageable.

I was going to hold on to triple Liverpool anyway, and triple Burnley looks solid too, with Pope, Mee, and Gudmundsson/Barnes looking good options. Few DGW defenders stand out, so I'm happy taking an Arsenal defender for their short term fixtures, plus GW35. The main casualty is Aubameyang, who I would have really liked for the next two home games, but he's too expensive to hold without a 34 double. I'll compromise by keeping Mkhitaryan.

This is going to leave me with 5 non double gameweekers when playing my bench boost, which sounds weak for a wildcard that should be optimising this, but I think given the fixtures this is still strong as most will be holding Salah, and possibly Firminio too. I can then field 11 in 35 with just one hit, and I'll most likely do this by loading up on City players (though which ones I have no idea now!), with a strong 35, and superb 37 double.

I see it that way: fixtures help to those with no fh. If you fh in gw31 Iam sure your team looking good. With -8 hit highly likely field 11 players. Then WC in 35+ 2 ft all ok. Arsenal MC, New, Bur, Swans will give you 11 + 4 from bench and bb. Full squad

      3 Burnley a must,7-8 DGW34 players max and 1-2 hits to get 11 for GW35.

Burnley 34 fixtures are not great (1-1 and 0-1 is my prediction), besides I have Wilson instead, so 2 is the max for me.

I feel the clarets will be the next 'Wally and Shaq', the obvious lowscoring choices.

      there's some problems, all right.

right now, I have 4 DGW'ers for the 34 and 8 for the following BGW.

if I want to go big in 34 I have to 'cannibalise' my squad, otherwise I'm only left with Zanka and VLP to remove.

I also can't leave both Shaqiri and Walcott who have decent games in 35 - because their next 2 stink.

can I afford to swap them for Mahrez and Willian? or do I have to bring in Gudmunsson?

to finish my monologue... realistically, it looks likely I'll field 7 DGW players and then add Arsenal/City to have a full 11 for 35.

I think it all comes down to whether

      a) you can't bear to not have 15 dgw players and do back flips on your team and mangle it to maxmize your bench boost in one dgw or

      b) you don't mind picking form players with high ownerships but who don't necessarily have 2 dgws, take hits if necessary but make sure you feel as many players as possible across all 3 weeks 34, 35 and 37

Pretty set on going for big 3 up top and then a frontline of Kane/Lukaku/Auba for GW37.

Southampton have a good double in 37. Means it's either Willian or Alonso but really don't think Willian will play every game

    De Gea - Ryan
    Alonso - Christensen - Morgan - Lowton - Stephens
    Salah - Son - Mahrez - Gudmundsson - JWP/Young
    Auba - Lukaku - Vardy

Auba has Newcastle in 34 and BUR/lei in 37, really want him for that but won't have the transfers

You could easily be right. Think it's an interesting strategy. Just one thing specifically - I'm really on a downer with Christensen. Just cannot see him playing twice in a week once, let alone two-times-over. I'd maybe think about your fifth mid being, say, Matic or Stephens and trying to reinvest the extra into solid starters. They don't necessarily have to be double-double options. Good luck!

Have a draft that gets me 9 dgw players in 34 and 9 players for 35 with 3 ftrs available to then (city targets)

Maximizing as many 37 dgw players for B.B. is the current issue I haven’t sussed yet. Having Fabianski instead of Hennessy would help that but funds don’t currently stretch.

BB in 34 without FH for 35 seems impossible.

    Draft:
    DDG, Hennessey
    Alonso, Chilwell, Lowton, Robertson, Montreal

If switching to Smalling in 37 for funds just get him now. Waste of a FT and can't see Bailly playing 3 games in 6 days anyway. Will be rested in one of 34 for FA Cup (assuming all defs fit)

JLingz's off the ball movement is so good. He's always in the right place at the right time to take a shot or receive a pass. Reminds me of Lampard.

Salah though... Liverpool will do well to hold him. Could be a future Ballon D'or winner after Cr7 and Messi retire!

Reckon he’ll be nailed for the DGW GB?

I’ve still got him since forever and might as well play him in the DGW34 as not WC’ing until GW35/36.

I wouldn't dare to try and second guess Mourinho. He has Matic, Pogba, McTominay, Carrick, Fellaini and Lingard for central midfield. Lingard doesn't feel a secure option. I'm sure it depends on tactics.

Think lampard a far better player than Lingard. Lingard too in and out for me. The occasional good gold but lampard a beast of a specimen who could run all day and time his runs perfectly

Good to see you coming round to Salah. 🙂

It all depends on him and what he wants to become. I personally don't think there'd a better place for him to play football. That being said, if he wants to win everything then there's only 2 clubs he can realistically go to.

    Alonso* - Lowton* - Daniels*
    Salah - Mahrez* - Willian* - Lingard* - Stanislas*
    Lukaku* (TC) - Firmino/Wilson

    Hennessey - Firmino/Wilson* - Baines - Kiko

Is that an acceptable team for DGW34 without WC or hits? Any must haves, that I don't have?

Triple BOU is a legacy of BGW31. Biggest worry is no Hazard, Son or Vardy.

            Definitely.

GW32/BB34 wildcarders are leaving themselves exposed in 37 because they will scrambling to get in players from the 6 teams will a double in 37 but no double in 34.

I will be having Alonso and Verts in my WC defence, and then 3 cheapies, currently on Lowton and Morgan, which means there's one more place left... Thoughts on having Cedric there?

Soton might be more solid now after the managerial change, and Soton have a good second double, whereas the likes of Dunk/Duffy have a horrendous second double, and Bunrley do not have a second double, so don't wanna double up on their defence... Can't double up on LEI defence as will have Vardy/Mahrez...

The only alternative is having, say Duffy, for the first double and the shift him for swansea def, say Naughton, for the second double as it's good (although they play Soton away) and they have a good home fixture in GW38 whereas Soton play City in GW38...

So WC should take 37 into account as well

Plus it’s a matter of 5th def, would bench most weeks, just play him in the double 37, Soton good fixtures in that and they have something to play for (most likely)... Brighton awful fixtures in 37... As I said, only Brighton —> Swansea actually looks maybe better...

    Aguero is still injured.
More game time for Jesus in the last few games of the season.

If you had to downgrade one mid who would it be and why:

    A) Willian
    B) Son
    C) Salah
    D) Mahrez
    E) Sterling

Sterling because he has no double 34. Tough couple of fixtures and may be rotated for champions league anyway...

Is this team any good for DGW 34? no hits... will easily field 10-11 in GW 35 as well without any hits and BB 15 DGWers in 37 😎

    Begovic
    Valenica Tarkowski Robbo
    Hazard Salah KDB Stan
    Vardy Auba Barnes
