As one of just six sides expected to be granted a pair of fixtures in both Gameweek 34 and 37, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) interest in Leicester City has reached a new high.

Understandably, Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy are the main targets among Claude Puel’s regulars as managers wield their Wildcards, with faith in their defence dented by a run of six Gameweeks without a clean sheet.

One look at the remaining schedule (bha NEW bur & SOT blank cry WHU tot), though, looks promising for points at both ends of the pitch.

Indeed, the Foxes’ next six opponents all sit outside the top six, with a home encounter against Arsenal expected to drop into the penultimate round of fixtures.

With two goals and four assists to his name, Harry Maguire appears to be the standout contender among the Leicester backline. Yet at a lofty 5.6 in FPL, does he justify the extra outlay over his budget-friendly, defensive team-mates?

In our next Monitor members’ article on Wildcard targets ahead of Saturday’s Gameweek 32 deadline, we look to the Opta data for answers.

I have Baily and he is okay for this week but wonder if its better to get Vert instead and bench him...
In this case I will start two Burnley def vs Wba and Alonso.
Reason is Vert is abs nailed and bonus magnet... Thoughts?

Tougher fixtures though. I would (and am) stick with Bailly

Fair call but I kinda fancy a 0-0 nine-pointer, and Schindy has been close to scoring the past couple of wks...also have VVD so kinda hoping to max returns there if possible

More concerned about it next wk tbh, but Mahrez hasn't really bothered me all season - he's only just getting to scary levels now given every man and his dog on here has him!

Waiting to wc means you will be able to choose Alder over rotation prone Davis and no attacking threat Vert

Because he has not yet been back in the first team since his injury.

He has played in the international. So should be nearing first team start.

Yes but if u wait with your wc till 33 then u have one transfer less in 34.if u play your wc in 32 u have one more transfer and with one more transfer u can do vertonghen to alderweireld. So it doesn't even have this advantage

    DDG / Ryan
    Alonso / X / X / Lowton / Morgan
    Salah / Mahrez / Son / Willian / X
    Aubameyang / Firmino / Vardy

    A) Valencia / Tarkowski / L. Cook
    B) Bailly / Mustafi / L. Cook
    C) Smalling / Vertonghen / L. Cook

The problem with all of these is simply: Who do I downgrade for Lukaku in GW34?

    Unless the answer is Firmino:
    A = Valencia > Cheaper United defence (once we know more?... still unlikely to be helpful);
B = Mustafi but is Bailly nailed? ; C... well no point in keeping Vertonghen just to sell for GW35, so Firmino?

    Thoughts?

The amount of people having Lukaku in GW34 is the biggest worry. I'm fine with not having him for the next two.

      Replied in previous page.
      I will repeat.

Keep front three as now. No need for lukaku.

Unless you don't have a united defender (DDG is enough imo)
      And 'upgrade' Vardy

      Firmino should outscore Lukaku imo

Apologies - I bottomed. Do you mean that you think Firmino will out score him the next two, or in GW34? The Lukaku move is for GW34, not now.

          No worries 🙂
I think Firmino will outscore lukaku from now till end of season.

However. If only for GW34. Would be worth getting Lukaku in for the doubles. But not at the expense of Firmino

Agreed. No need for Lukaku as of now. Especially if you wouldn't captain him this week. Plenty of options and going Salah is sensible. But if United somehow click in next few most will have Kaku in 34 and captain him.

Tough to fit all Auba Vardy Firmino in there.

Ya. I'm currently on Bailly and Mustafi with Barnes and 5 in mid. Would like to have Firmino in there but can't find a way to fit him unless I drop Vardy as well. And that would be too many transfers before 34.

Dropping Firmino is scary, especially if my ML rivals won't activate their wildcards before deadline.

    Pickford

    Maguire-Robertson-Dawson

    Salah-mahrez-Stanislas-zaha

    Aube-Firmino-Wilson

    Bench: Eliot, mee, Schindler, mchartur

    7,2 itb (0ft)

    Leading ml by 50points.

My plan is to do mchartur to kdb and bench Wilson this week.

    How's this WC for BB34, FH35:

    DDG--Ryan
    Alonso--Mustafi--Lowton--Morgan--Stephens
    Salah--Son--Mahrez--Willian--Gudmonson
    Auba--Lukaku--Murray

Plan is Auba > Vardy + Mustafi > Bailly GW34.

    Leaves me 14 DGW players

That's the classic way that the vast majority are going - with either WC32 or 33.

      I'm trying something different - WC32, FH34, BB37 (TC Salah).

There are plenty of variants (FH34, WC36, BB37 being one) - each has their merits.

Which one is for you depends on lots of factors - team value, current team, attitude to risk etc.

On wildcard and actually wouldn't mind them losing, gives me an excuse to downgrade Willian to Groß and use the funds elsewhere

On WC with BB34 in mind, Mustafi now and possibly switch to Smalling or Christensen for GW34 or just get Smalling now? Will Arsenal really get 2 CS in the next 2? Can bench Smalling against City also

Arsenal have good fixtures and could be aok, Smalling has the double but not as nailed... Bailly and jones made of paper though.

I've 5.7 to spend on a defender and it's between Mustafi and Smalling. If I swap my 5th defender from Morgan to Dummett, I can get Bailly/Vertongen but non the wiser on the Mustafi/Smalling situation

Would really appreciate some feedback on final 3 places on WC - do I go safer?
Auba - sterling - van dijk
Or do I go abit riskier but potentially more reward
    Alonso - Mikhitaryan - Jesus .

Thoughts on my top heavy WC team please:

    DdG / 3.9
    Christensen / Mustafi / TAA / Simpson / Lowton
    Salah / Son / Mahrez / Willian / King
    Lukaku / Firmino / Auba

    0.1 itb
    Cheers

A larger than usual number of RMT from gravless tonight. On another note, that look from Albrighton in the caption is worrying
