A drab derby day on Merseyside, devoid of significant Fantasy talent and points, is at least followed by a batch of six afternoon kick-offs.

What’s more, the encounter at the bet365 Stadium looks to be hugely significant for our Gameweeks and the season run-in as a whole, with Harry Kane returning to the Spurs starting line-up at Stoke City.

The striker shrugged off his recent ankle injury to make a 16-minute appearance at Chelsea on Sunday but starts today as Erik Lamela makes way for Son Heung-min’s return to the flank.

Kane went into today’s deadline as the most signed player for Gameweek 33, with 327,000 managers swooping ahead of the Potters visit. He is also backed by 933,000 with the armband, with 21 of the top 100 managers also placing their faith in his return.

He boasts an enviable record against them, with eight goals in his last four meetings. Spurs have also won this fixture 4-0 in both their previous seasons, with Son and Dele Alli among the goals and points in those fixtures.

Son was second most signed midfielder ahead of this match, claiming 157,000+ new owners. Meanwhile, Alli only just trails that figure, with 141,000+ swooping following his three goals and two assists in his last three Gameweeks.

Elsewhere today, Leicester City are likely to be the other major point of interest ahead of a home meeting with Newcastle United.

Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy go into this match backed by 13.8% and 23.6% ownership respectively. The latter was the third most signed forward behind Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with 127,000 managers moving for the Foxes striker.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Pain but at least it shared even with a hit only 2 behind the average. Auba C can kill me though.

Decent game-week with Eriksen, Sanchez, Hazard, Alonso & Auba(C) all getting double digit scores.
Hoping this is what I will be able to add as my smooth on Jonty's HT (power of wishful thinking)

Eriksen: "He celebrated like it was his goal so I will have to take his word for it."

    Shoulder? Rofl.

Wow I really thought Kane would haul. Wasted some money on it to hedge my bets - but didn't get him thanks to Jay Egersdorff's youtube channel. So good - 7 minute concise video, gets down to the point on everything - recommended waiting and seeing with Kane

think it was the right move (pre GW, before knowing the score) to wait, Auba good fixture (who for many is going out for Kane in GW34) and Salah being out transfer was best used there

20 minutes before kick off and the Etihad has so many empty seats. Man City could win the title today. Against their biggest rivals.

There won't be very many at kick off. I've been to hundreds of sporting events and only at the cricket, when you can sit with enough pints for a session, would I be in my seat 20 mins before!

It's impossible to tell if it's flicked his hair or not. Give the man his goal.

It's as much his goal as Aguero's was. I think that's the frustrating thing. The inconsistency.

But I got Aguero's and have had this one chalked off, so I'm level on the deal.

Having a truly horrific game week. But I've had a great run for the past 10, so again, I ain't complaining too much.

Otamendi goal and clean sheet would be nice though!

The defender pushed him away from the ball after it passed him. It would have to fell down from the sky to be able to hit his shoulder.

Sadly I don't think so. It's already been credited to Kane, then taken away and given to Eriksen.

Lukaku's last season didn't go from him, to Bolasie, to him again - if I remember correctly.

Auba (C) here with Kane in the team. That WC superiority will only be decided by the end of gw 34 I think. 33 wildcarders could have little edge imo
