We’re down to the last 32 in our Fantasy Football Scout Cup tournament and can now reveal not only the victors from round four but also the fifth round draw.

As we know, Gameweek 33 was a torrid affair which produced the lowest average score (32 points) of the season so far. It also put paid to one of the two top-ranked managers remaining in the cup.

Leaf – who ranked 55 in the world prior to last weekend – took a four-point hit to record a modest 34 score. He was somewhat unfortunate to come up against ChrisVD who recorded the highest score (57) in the entire fourth round. The latter also spent points on an extra transfer but mustered a hugely impressive tally thanks to a Spurs midfield partnership of Dele Alli – as captain – and Christian Eriksen.

While Leaf toppled out, the other high-flying manager – Always Captain Kun – earned his passage to the fifth round with a 34-30 victory over Le Tigre and maintained a rank of 65th in the world. They must now be considered the early favourite to lift the trophy but must be wary of their next opponent. Norman conquest lies in wait in the last 32 and, while they are placed 46,709 in the world, they are renowned giant killers in this cup having previoulsy eliminated the 48th ranked thisisdiz in round three.

Round four’s lowest ranked manager – TD7242 (699,646) – was unable to maintain their cup run after recording a calamatous 20 points from Gameweek 33. It was a familiar tale of taking a points hit to capture and captain Harry Kane, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang their only player to score more than two points. TD7242 tumbled out to Batmaniac, who scored 33 to claim passage.

That means that jaycar25 is now the big underdog heading into the next round. They are placed 339,188 in the world and will face 2eyedTurk next; they currently place 34,464 in the overall rankings.

The fifth round will be played out over Gameweek 34, which as we know, is a Double Gameweek with many chips in play.

The full fourth round results can be found here, while the fifth round draw in full can be found here.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Baring in mind I have no FH chip and need players in bgw35, how does this team look? BB'ing this week.

    Lloris Hennesey*
    VVD* Mustafi* Jones Simpson Lowton**
    Salah* Sterling* Willian Arnie* TC*
    Kane (C) Auba* Vardy

    *Plays a single game in 34 and plays in 35
    **Plays two games in 34 and plays in 35

    BB looks weak, but there is really no way around it as I see atm. At least the sgw34 players have a good fixture (except Sterling)

        Got it.. but I will be needing the FT's from now on to strengthen my dgw37 team and not on more bench players.. towards the end of the season there will be plenty of rotation and transfers will be needed imo

    De Gea, Ryan
    Alonso, Maguire, Mee, Lowton, Tarkowski
    Sanchez, Salah, Son, Willian, Gross
    Lukaku, Vardy, Austin

    How to solve this puzzle? Where do I find 1.9m with hits from this lot? I want Sanchez and Lukaku in for Hazard and Auba but I have to fund it elsewhere.

      For me your Spurs/Man Utd weighting is the wrong way. I'd rather Kane than Lukaku, Erisken over Sanchez and not Son at all.

      I would say 75% he will and 95% Kaku does. Jose doesn't mind running his stars into the ground a little, and he's right pro footballers should be well able to play those three games in a row!

        Most fan comments on Chelsea forums saying that Emerson will start ahead of Alonso for at least one of the games, likewise with Son, who I think will be replaced with Lamela for the MCI game, as he is better at pressing

          Perhaps. They're both in my squad so hope not.

      very easily imo, Emerson could start one of the games and I'd be confident that both Lamela & Moura also get one start.

    B. Auba + Willian -> Kane + Lingard
    C. Auba + Alonso -> Kane + Smalling
    D. Auba + Gross -> Kane + JWP/5.0

    Team is:

    DDG

    Auba Lukaku Barnes

    I think this might be my final way forward for BB GW34 (followed by FH GW35):

    Auba, Firmino, Gros >>> Lukaku, Vardy, Mili (-4)

    Will give me this team:

    0FT £0.7itb
    DDG, Ryan
    Alonso, Vertonghen, Morgan, Lowton, Mustafi
    Salah, Mahrez, Son, Willian, Mili
    Lukaku (C), Vardy, Barnes

    Or Plan B) to get both is:
    Auba, Firmino, Gros, Alonso >>>> Kane, Lukaku, Cork, Chilwell (-8)

    Go for it or go big on Plan B)?
    Cheers

            Could do with doing something about that, been saying for ages that there needs to be a RMT daily forum and RMT posts banned from articles. I'm sure that the mods are well aware of this but surely there's a way around it!

              true - i remember seeing discussions about it in the past - can't recall the responses , but not sure what the solution is, i think a specific RMT or team choices (ie pick a or b etc) page would be a good idea

      Just Aub + Fir to Kane + Vardy for free I'd say.

      Smalling could well not play.

          Depends on budget. If you're rich then it's gotta be Valencia for security of starts. Smalling may play and do just fine but it's definite risk.

      There is no guarantee one United defender plays more than the other. Just hold the one you have, and hope he plays both.

        Well.. Jones has been insane while playing, was on the bench last weekend, and could very well be playing this week I presume

        Don't mind going without Chelsea defense, but I would be scared to go without United.

      Just do Auba to Kaku

      Why sell Alonso for Bailly or Lingard for Arnie? Seems strange

    Does anyone else think a live GW38 scoutcast ay 3pm would be entertaining? Especially if some of the presenters are close in rank with different players/captains...

      That sounds quite good, even if it just started at half time.
