Isn't Vardy's xG of 2.68 mostly because of his two tap-ins? Haven't seen Leicester's matches but if my thinking is right those two big chances have a combined xG of nearly 2.00. That means his xG is very low except for a 96th minute goal and another late tap-in impossible to miss.

So what if they're tap ins? Players who are "in the right place at the right time" like Vardy, Sterling and Austin will always have a very high xG, even with lower shot numbers. And I'd take the big quality chances over the players taking 5 * 0.03 shots per game.
Sterling gets more big chances because of City's attack. In Vardy's case I feel the element of "luck" is more involved. But as I said, he's good at popping up where the ball is, and you can't put an xG on that. Nothing wrong in scoring tap-ins. I'm just a little annoyed as I only owned him when he did nothing, and now he scores every week. Haha.

I'm fine with that lineup. Would've preferred Aguero over Sterling, as I said before. Laporte over Kompany is interesting, I do think he fits the system a little better if Fernandinho is playing LB-CDM, but I'd prefer Kompany.

Nope, I agree with you. I’m willing to risk it, and you only get burnt if 2 things happen: the replacement you pick sucks and Salah goes on a tear. It’s very possible with Salah, but with 5 weeks left, it’s worth rolling the dice.
