The ScoutCast crew are always quick to jump on the shoulders of giants, so when a veteran of the Fantasy Football Scout community starts to threaten a Fantasy Premier League title tilt, we just have to get them on the show.

Matt Kearney aka “Bowstring the Cap” has been about on our pages for seven seasons but never has he experienced one like this. Currently ranked twenty-third in the world, he drops by in this latest episode to offer his take on the campaign and, in particular, the strategy for the run-in.

In truth, Matt was better placed before Gameweek 33 and, along with Jonty, Andy and Az, he joins me to look back at the lowest scoring weekend of the campaign when even the leading managers faltered.

But those gripes are soon drowned by a wave of enthusiasm on the eve of Double Gameweek 34.

That’s the focus for your latest set of community questions, sparking our thoughts on the optimum heavy-hitters, the rotation fears and our confidence in Chelsea to produce over the extra fixtures.

my free transfer will go when i freehit so im gonna ditch dunk or gross.( have ryan in net and am not a fan of briton double defence, have also sorta lost faith in gross) already have morgan and lowton so yoshida is there to spread my clean sheet chances opposed ao doubling up. southampton are poor but have the most to play for. they also have a second double.

I had a good first half of the season last year and finished top 5k in the end. This year was the complete opposite!
What was your rank at the half way point and where are you now?
GW19: 1.7m
GW33: 284k

        I've sort of enjoyed going maverick to haul myself back into contention for a top 100k finish. TC Son, WC in 25, sold Salah in 30, etc. It has been fun in a desperate sort of a way 🙂

  Slow and steady climb, knocked back down a few times but currently at my highest rank this season. Top 10k seems a bit optimistic but you never know, I've got BB, FH and TC left.
  
  Main aim is actually to finish above my dad in his first season who's peaked at 15k. Gave him a bit of help with wildcards but otherwise every decision's been his.

      Cheers, I'm optimistic as he's already used TC and FH.
      
      Even without the chips he's got a decent wildcard team for the run-in with a couple of left-field choices, I never would've gone near Alli before that Chelsea game but that's exactly the sort of weird pick he's nailed all year.
      
      And I tell a lie, he peaked at 10k which is only about 7-8k lower than the highest I've ever been while playing FPL!

A. Auba + Son --> Kane + Lingard
B. Auba + Murray + Willian --> Kane + Lingard + J.Ayew -4
C. Auba + Gross --> Kane + King
D. Auba + Davies --> Kane + Long

In a nutshell, I'm selling auba for Kane and need to downgrade a mid to do it. I'd like Lingard to "cover" united, as I'll be going without Lukaku.

Any suggestions if you don't like my options?
