Our partner game Yahoo are offering yet another big-money contest for Fantasy managers this weekend.

They have a Premier League £2.5k Saturday contest which takes in all six matches from 3pm onwards tomorrow, finishing with the 7.45pm clash between Spurs and Man City at Wembley Stadium.

The contest is guaranteed to run, costs £5 to enter and is a multi-entry game, which means you can select up to five teams. The top 125 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £10, with £250 going to the first place.

Driven by Opta data, the Yahoo game has a unique scoring system which is ideal for those members of our community on the lookout for a Daily Fantasy Sports game.

If you’re new to Yahoo, you can sign up and claim a free £50 in credit to your account when you deposit just £5. Promo code: Fantasy50.

Before getting started on your lineup, it’s worth digesting our Strategy Guide, which assesses the types of players who profit from the rule set.

FFS Strongest XI

Loris Karius – £16
Andrew Robertson – £15
Kyle Naughton – £13
Harry Maguire – £14
Riyad Mahrez – £20
Luka Milivojevic – £18
Roberto Pereyra -£15
Johan Berg Gudmundsson -£16
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain -£19
Mohamed Salah -£27
Harry Kane -£26

The Yahoo scoring system – which awards goalkeepers points for wins or draws and double the number of points as defenders for a clean sheet – earns Loris Karius a spot between the posts for Liverpool’s clash with Bournemouth. Jurgen Klopp’s men are the only side undefeated in front of their own fans, winning ten of their 16 Anfield encounters and conceding just ten times. Furthermore, they put four past the Cherries without reply back in Gameweek 18.

Reds’ raiding left-back Andrew Robertson joins Karius on our teamsheet against Eddie Howe’s side. Over the last six Gameweeks, the Scot is ranked second among defenders for key passes (nine) and sits top for both assists (three) and big chances created, with four. Liverpool, meanwhile, have claimed three clean sheets over that stretch.

Swansea’s Kyle Naughton offers various routes to points in the Yahoo game ahead of a visit from Everton. Ranked second among team-mates for successful tackles (13) and interceptions (nine) over the their last six league fixtures, the wing-back has also chipped in with two clean sheets and an assist across that period.

Harry Maguire’s style of play is also favourably looked upon by the Yahoo scoring system for a trip to Burnley. Over the last six Gameweeks, he has made more successful passes (246) than any team-mate and sits among the Foxes’ top three for both successful tackles (nine) and interceptions (seven). Eight efforts in the box in that run is more than any defender, with Maguire also supplying five scoring chances for Claude Puel’s men.

Riyad Mahrez joins his team-mate in our XI for the Turf Moor encounter. Although Jamie Vardy has outscored the Algerian by four goals to two over Leicester’s last six, it’s the latter who has posed the greater threat for both shots (15 to 12) and efforts on target, by eight to six. Mahrez also leads the forward for key passes (seven to three) and has been fouled 14 times over this period – just three players have surpassed that total overall.

Luka Milivojevic attempts to score for the fourth successive Gameweek as Crystal Palace welcome rivals Brighton to Selhurst Park. Now up to ten goals for the season, the Serbian’s ball-winning ability boosts his Yahoo potential, too – he’s ranked second overall for interceptions (17) in the last six Gameweeks and has also contributed 15 successful tackles for the Eagles.

Roberto Pereyra makes his debut bow in our Yahoo plans as Watford make their way to Huddersfield. The former Juventus man has upped his threat considerably in recent matches, scoring in each of the last two against Bournemouth and Burnley. Over that period, he is ranked second overall for shots (eight) and efforts in the box (six), while no player has bettered his five attempts on target.

Back in training ahead of Leicester’s visit, Johan Berg Gudmundsson is expected to be available for Burnley tomorrow. The Icelandic international has a goal and two assists in his last five appearances across Gameweek 26-30, while the underlying numbers show just why he’s an ideal player in the Yahoo game. Gudmundsson is ranked joint-top for successful crosses (11) over that run and has also registered double-digits for shots (12), interceptions (11) and chances created, with 12.

Two goals and three assists in his last four home league starts highlights the potential of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as a budget-friendly route into the Liverpool attack. The summer signing from Arsenal also netted in the Champions League win over Man City at Anfield and now entertains a Bournemouth backlines that’s managed just one clean sheet in their last 20 league fixtures.

Golden Boot contenders Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah complete our line-up. At home, they are the top two players for shots (101 to 76), efforts in the box (64 to 58) and attempts on target (43 to 37), though the latter has outscored Kane in front of his own fans by 17 goals to 11.

Salah is clearly the form player, scoring eight goals in his last four at home compared with Kane’s three, though the latter’s belated award for his side’s second goal at Stoke last weekend adds extra spice to their rivalry over the run-in.

As Yahoo allows late swaps up until each kick-off, our listed line-up may well be subject to change.

The Weekend Contests

As well as the Premier League £2.5k Saturday contest, Yahoo are also offering a Premier League £1k Sunday contest.

Comprising of both matches from that day – Newcastle vs Arsenal and Man United vs West Brom – it also takes in Monday evening’s 8pm encounter between West Ham and Stoke at the London Stadium.

This is also guaranteed to run, costs £5 to enter and is a multi-entry game, which means you can select up to two teams. The top 50 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £10, with £100 going to the first place.

You can open an account and get started immediately.

If you register and deposit £5 or more, Yahoo will also give you a £50 bonus to be used as cash to enter paid contests.

      Valencia > Vert or Tark/Lowton > Long?

or could even consider Salah > Eriksen if you think Erik's double vs Salah's single is good this week and have FH for 35 if want Salah back that week? and i think Salah will see reduced minutes at the very least in 36 if not benched completely and fact Eriksen's incredible double in 37 (WBA & Newcastle) is way stronger than Salah's single away to Chelski? All adds up?!!

Same here, well actually 2nd in both my cash mini leagues but i have a major advantage with both players who reside in top spots already having used all their chips and WC's. I am doing Auba, Salah, Stephens > Lukaku, Eriksen, Cedric -8 and do fancy it to work out in favour of Eriksen up til 38, will bring Salah back in 35 with FH if i feel essential and if chasing golden boot in 38 maybe again then? Don't normally make this sort of move (losing a little bit of TV which really doesn't affect me much) but have a really good feeling about it so going with my head!!

It's about fixtures not form this week, which Lukaku wins easily. Look at his history and who he scores against. There is every reason for optimism.

Kane will start both games, he's trying to beat Salahs goals and hes about 4 behind. We saw how desperate he and spurs were for him to get Eriksens goal last week! Kane captain all day long.

Was going to do Aubayemang to Lukaku with one free transfer and carry the other and keep Firmino for 35 with no FH.

Am I better to use second free on Firmino to Vardy for his 2 games and double up with Mahrez who I have ? May mean an extra transfer next week for -4 to get another week 35 player and get 8 playing

A Keep Firmino as week 35 player
    B Firmino to Vardy

    Hi guys, dunno which team to line up (i bought some burnley players with my wild card last week, but not sure to play them, or other players who are in form, but without double GW); so, here are my players (I've still got triple captain);

    De Gea
Maguire, Alonso, Lejeune (form: 7.0), Yedlin (good form as well)
Mahrez, Lingard,Arnautovic, Salah (both in great form, but no double gw...)
    Lukaku, Vardy

    R. Green/ Lowton, A.Lennon, A.Barnes

Should I play Burnley players, and should I triple captain Lukaku (or someone else...?) Thanks !

Would love some advice on this FH team

    DDG
    Lowton - Smalling - Maguire
    Eriksen - Mahrez - Willian - Gross
    Vardy - Lukaku(c) - Kane

Downgrading Lowton -> Long would give me 1.2m ITB but can't quite work out what to do with it. Willian -> Son is the obvious one but given the FA cup will Son miss the 2nd easier game? Or are there any other moves which I'm being blind to??

    Thanks!!

Depends on so many variables, mate! How’s you’re team now, what chips you have left... etc, etc...

Naughton and Iborra to Chillwell/Morgan and Arnie for a -4? Will have 12 DGW players, playing BB. Or go for another DGW MID?

  29. How does this look, please?

    GW 34:

    Pope
    Valencia, Lowton, Chillwell
    Son, Mahrez, Willian, Albrighton
    Kane(c), Lukaku(vc), Wood

    Begovic; Sterling, Robertson, Dummett… - 8, 0.3 ITB, TV: 104.4, SV: 103.1

I fear the lack of Salah but apart from that it's solid. Would rather have lingard instead of albrighton but guess you .1 short?

      1. No, TommyG - I could actually do that - thanks. 🙂

I like that you've gone Wood over Barnes. Better goalscorer for sure.

      1. Cheers, mate. 🙂

Strong, although rather reliant on Burnley! If you don't bench boost this week though when would you?

      1. Good point! 🙂
