After yet another goal from Mohamed Salah in Liverpool’s draw at The Hawthorns, Saturday comes to an early conclusion as Watford entertain Crystal Palace at 3pm.

The Eagles’ duo Wilfried Zaha and Luka Milivojevic were among the top seven most bought players for a reduced Gameweek 35 that saw over 154,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Free Hit chips played.

More than 183,000 managers acquired Zaha, who has served up three goals and two assists in the last five Gameweeks, with 21 points in his previous two outings.

Meanwhile, dead-ball specialist Milivojevic has 38 points over the last four, supplementing three goals and a pair of assists with nine bonus in that run.

They now collide with a Hornets defence that’s conceded 30 goals in front of their own fans – no side have allowed more.

The hosts have failed to catch the eye in recent weeks, with Javi Gracia turning to a 4-4-2 today in an attempt to solve a run of three goals in the last five Gameweeks.

Roberto Pereyra’s form has been the one crumb of comfort – the former Juventus man has netted two of those strikes and is looking to score for the third successive match at Vicarage Road today.

Keeping Vardy myself. Not rushed to rid of Morgan as I have other playing defenders, but would if there was another good choice (lacking at that price). Mahrez - yeah, probably. I may hold off one week more, but performances have been lacking.

Yea Morgan seems to be dropped, gonna bench him this week because I have other things to take care off and hope he gets back in the team, otherwise he has to go

On Mahrez and Vardy, a little 'theory' I worked out last week, might be nothing to it but it seems to be going in the same pattern again this year

      Games since April:

      2016/2017: 1G 1A in his last 10 (team form: 4W 2D 4L)
      2015/2016: 1G 0A in his last 7 (team form: 4W 3D 0L)

      Vardy on the other hand:

      2016/2017: 6G 1A
      2015/2016: 5G 0A (in 5 games, missed 2)

Can anyone with a real knowledge of football tell me what keeps Shaw out of this united team, behind Ashley Young.

Every time I watch united I see Young make silly mistakes, silly fouls, attempt useless tricks and flicks that never come off.

Is it literally just his positional awareness? Is Shaw really that bad?

    1. Leaf

He must of Young keeps him out

    2. Somalion

      Can't really say.

All I know is that Shaw has had trouble over his attitude previously and at United, plus seems to have weight problems. Has shown up before overweight and in some games after a prolonged break away from the team he'll look heavy too. Dunno if that's part of it or not.

      1. HamezMace
        • 11 Years

Attitude is an interesting one. You’d think most aspects of a player would be covered by the scouting teams before investing the £30m or whatever it was.
He seemed to be a regular under LvG as well.

This is just what I've heard so could be way off the mark. Had a similar issue with Poch at Southampton for a bit about his fitness and not taking it seriously.

I don't know if there's more going on than that. Also worth keeping in mind he's been playing under LVG and Mourinho who are a bit mad when it comes to rotation and benching players. Last point might be worth saying that maybe he just hasn't been good enough.

It’s just such a strange situation.
It’s not like United have Roberto Carlos at left back, Young I think is very poor.
That’s why I asked if someone with an in depth tactical knowledge could set me straight on what a Young offers.

He does lose possession a fair bit (not that that's necessarily a bad thing; Messi, Sanchez do etc.). Has been brilliant this year, but today's match is a weird one to base this statement from. It was one of his worst games in months.

      But he did score!
