A sunny Sunday afternoon provides a perfect backdrop for a day of Premier League football and, hopefully, ample returns in Fantasy.

We start with two lunchtime encounters, with most attention drawn to the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal will host West Ham United.

Arsene Wenger’s announcement that he is to leave the club in the summer has undoubtedly given this encounter a new perspective, with the atmosphere and perhaps even team performance likely to be affected by that revelation today.

Fantasy interest is certainly high, with strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacaszette demanding huge attention prior to Saturday’s deadline.

The big team news is that Wenger delivers on his threat to manage Aubameyang’s minutes as he prepares his side for Thursday’s Europa League semi-final with Atletico.

Aubameyang starts on the bench today, despite having scored four goals in his last three home matches, with six in eight Gameweeek appearances overall. He was brought in by over 201,000 for Gameweek 35 as the third most signed, while he sports over 221,000 armbands in this match.

Wenger’s press conference, hinting at Aubameyang’s rotation, created huge late interest in Lacazette and he starts today.

The Frenchman is undoubtedly a key asset for those managers with the Free Hit chip active, with Ragabolly’s article revealing last night that 63.9% of the top 10,000 managers playing the chip elected to recruit Lacazette. He has two goals from his last three Gameweek appearances, including his strike at Newcastle United last weekend.

Elsewhere for Arsenal, Aaron Ramsey earns a recall to a strong starting XI and could prove a key differential for Gameweek 35. But Mesut Ozil, signed by 24,000 prior to yesterday’s deadline, misses out through illness, along with goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Elsewhere this lunchtime, Stoke City host Gameweek 34 favourites Burnley at the bet365 Stadium for what is a crunch encounter for the Potters.

The Clarets assets go into this contest well supported, particularly by managers without the Free Hit active.

Stoke’s asset remain differentials, though, with Xherdan Shaqiri their most popular target prior to Saturday’s deadline; he commanded a modest 51,000+ transfers in, with goalkeeper Jack Butland – back on 7700 – ranking next.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Anyone else think that the Premier League (and football in general) is just broken?

I can barely watch it anymore unless it's a game featuring two of Liverpool, City and Spurs.

The discrepancy in resources leads the lower, poorer teams to resort to bus-parking in order to stay in the top flight resulting in awful games whenever they play bigger teams. And you can't blame them for it either.

Then there is this awful rotation of managers around the bottom half teams where they rock up, save them from relegation and then get sacked the next year. When I hear the names Hughes, Allardyce, Moyes, Pardew, Pulis etc I struggle to recall which team their even managing.

I moved to Australia 7 years ago and the national sport AFL is a million times better. They use a drafting system which balances out the strength of teams over the years and causing a much smaller ability gap. This results in much better games. At least 5 of the 9 weekly games tend to be enjoyable close-fought contests, many going down to the last few minutes. So much healthier for everyone involved.

It took me about 2 years to really get it but when I did it quickly became my favourite sport. It goes from being a jumbled mess into a true battle of skill and physicality

I don't think it's any more unequal than it has been in recent years but I'm bored of it. This season is essentially over - maybe Stoke will fight against relegation, but ultimately everything is decided and has been for a while. Potentially talented teams like Arsenal and Everton have overwhelmingly failed, and the likes of Spurs, lauded by the media, have choked on the big occasion. Too much money is being spent, but at least revolutions in tactics seem to be leaving some old school managers in the dust (Padrew, Big Sam, Pulis).

It is certainly the least interested I've been in a long time...but then I am an Everton manager.

      Couldn't agree more.

The problem is top teams can buy everybody and bench half the best players.

Years ago, when we had only champions in European Cup and 3 foreigner rule, teams had to carefully select their star buys and no one could swallow up all the best players.

Now, in all levels, we basically have hardly any competition. The best players aren't playing against the best. They're playing with them against weak opponents.

Messi and Ronaldo have stats like nobody else ever because of this discrepancy

Over expecting from Arsenal has been biggest problem with fpl managers and fans alike. Another assumption by majority that Arsenal will give a performance after wenger news was yet another illogical hope.
