Fresh from a successful Free Hit hike in Gameweek 35, many in the community are now looking ahead to the final few fixtures and where best to splash their cash.

Two teams, in particular, have piqued the interest of our Hot Topic posters, who also take in the impact chips have had on the Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

Players to target both domestically and abroad come under the gaze of our community writers.

Meanwhile, those who are due a goal and offer value in defence are among the subjects considered in our Members tables round-up.

We finish the round-up with a look at the latest standings in our community leagues ahead of the weekend’s matches.

The Community Articles.

After the excitement of a Double Gameweek, Niemi dropped by with a preview of Norwegian top-flight game Fantasy Eliteserien’s next set of single fixtures, which span this weekend and Monday.

Our community scribes also have the domestic scene covered, with Hutch_James finding out what ‘the crowd’ are saying about Gameweek 36’s matches.

Don’t forget, if you’ve got some analysis, scout reports or features brewing, be sure to visit our community section to submit your article.

The Hottest Topics

Manchester City and Spurs assets are dominating the thinking of those taking part in our Gameweek 36 Rate My Wildcard surgery, given both sides have a favourable season run-in and are not distracted by cup commitments.

TLF has been advising Fantasy mangers to focus their attention more on Spurs cover, with the spectre of rotation looming large over this season’s champions City. Ben Davies also earns praise over City’s rearguard in our defenders watchlist Hot Topic.

But with stellar scores for Pep Guardiola’s troops in Gameweek 35 according to our Rough with the Smooth round-up, it seems unlikely that many will be put off.

Those who stocked up on Sky Blues stars as part of their Free Hit chip last time out will certainly be reluctant to shift their attention, according to statistics revealed ahead of the week’s concluding match between Everton and Newcastle.

Such was its success that Rik Waller makes a plea to the Fantasy Premier League to offer a double set of chips next season – one portion for each half of the campaign.

City and Spurs stars are also dominating the FPL market, making up six of the top ten transfers-in.

But Doosra’s latest number crunching, as delivered by G-Whizz, reveals that we should be focusing on Jurgen Klopp’s charges. Liverpool’s home clash with Stoke City receives one of the highest scores that Doosra has handed out this season.

Rotation is curtailing interest in Jurgen Klopp’s side for some of those answering our Hot Topic on Liverpool’s twin aim of finishing in the top four in the league and scooping the Champions League trophy.

But fortunately, the Anfield Express Twitter account has remained reliable with their teamsheet “predictions”. However, not everyone in the community are happy about this social media phenomenon, with Monkey Hanger wondering if exploiting their line-up information almost feels like cheating..

Those targeting Manchester City, Spurs or Liverpool players will surely have to wave goodbye to underperforming assets.

But Roys Caller Anne has urged patience with some of these players considered to be on borrowed time, particularly popular Gameweek 32/33 Wildcard picks such as Chelsea’s Willian and Leicester City playmaker Riyad Mahrez. Willian comes under further scrutiny in Pompel’s latest Hot Topic.

Finally, Rhysyball has been consulting Eminem’s back catalogue again for his latest rap. While Granville was his subject three years ago, this time around he is taking the season run-in to task, with a little help from Stan.

To view all our discussions, please visit our Hot Topics page.

The Members Tables

Those considering ditching Willian will be especially interested in my latest goals imminent table. Elsewhere, FPL Virgin has been shopping for nailed-on players as well as cheap defenders.

If you’re a member and are yet to get to grips with the custom statistics tables, you can view this movie for an explanation of how they work. Also, remember to tag them so that people can find the tables with ease.

The Community Tournaments

Richard Clarke is the new leader of Red Lightning’s Top 10K Any Season league, while Shirin Nizar and Christopher Lay continue at the top of his January to May and Doubles, Blanks and Chips leagues.

Paul Gee remains at the summit of the Fantasy Football Scout Members league, as does Rizwan Chadhry in the FFScout main league. Rizwan is also still second in the overall rankings, 18 points behind world number one Bharat Dhody. However, Bharat – who first posted on our site back in 2014 – has belatedly joined our ladder, and so Gameweek 36 could prove decisive for top spot, both in the overall rankings and our mini-league.

In TorresMagic’s Last Man Standing, the safety score was 72, which saw 23 players depart and 20 remain.

Zoumas Bloomers retains number one spot in in QPR Utd’s Frequent Summer Posters league.

Meanwhile, there’s a congested battle to unseat FFScout moderators and contributors league leader Jack Wain, with Greenwindmill, Az and me all 13 points behind.

If you are running a community tournament and would like the latest scores included in future Community Round-Ups, please email us a summary of the current leaders and a link to your league, spreadsheet or head-to-head competition, at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Alonso gave me 13 points out of the last 10gws. I'm considering triple captaining him on G37, should I be admitted to a mental institution?

Sell Son or Willian for DGW37?

I am looking at Sanchez, Barnes and Willian/Son to Sterling, Jesus and Kennedy for a -4 next week. This will mean playing one of Christensen or Morgan for DGW

Current squad is (DGW in caps):

    DDG, RYAN
    SMALLING, NAUGHTON, CHRISTENSEN, MORGAN, Tarkowski
    Salah, SON, WILLIAN, SANCHEZ, Gudmundsson
    KANE, VARDY, Barnes

    (Bottomed)
    DDG
    Vertonghen Lowton Long
    Alli Mahrez Willian Lingard Milivojevic
    Kane(c) Lukaku

    Ryan Barnes Morgan Alonso

Which of these moves is best?
    A) Mahrez to Sterling
    B) Lukaku to Jesus
    C) Both (-4)
    D) Save FT

Lukaku, Alli and Lingard are my differentials versus my rivals with Vardy, Salah and Son. At the moment, I'm leaning towards A, which I think is the same transfer my rivals have done.

Would think that he'll start most games and if he comes on as a sub in one he's still likely to score. He's a good differential if you can afford him.
