Our Fantasy Premier League Cup has reached its penultimate stage as we reveal the four managers to make it through to the semi-finals.

The draw has been kind to the two highest-ranked remaining competitors, who swerve each other in the last four, which takes place across Double Gameweek 37.

With a rank of 1,880 Batmaniac is the top placed manager in the competition, after seeing off BroTown Tindersticks in the quarter-finals. This high-flyer has booked himself a semi-final clash with Boxing Can Girouds, whose 11,947-placed team overcame dmcqt in the previous round.

Both these semi-finalists have only their Triple Captain chip left to play, having used the Wildcard in Gameweek 32.

However, underdog Boxing Can Girouds may have the advantage. He has already spent a transfer hit in Gameweek 36 to bring in Man City pair Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus to join the likes of Harry Kane and Paul Pogba.

Meanwhile, Batmaniac used just one transfer to bring in Spurs full-back Ben Davies last time out and is currently without any of Pep Guardiola’s troops. At least one four-point hit seems likely if he is to make the most of City’s favourable home games against Huddersfield and Brighton.

The other semi-final encounter sees 5,861 placed PetesBlair square up to the round’s lowest ranked manager 2EyedTurk, who is in 25,071 spot.

As with the other semi-finalists this pair only have their Triple Captain chip to call on.

The lower ranked manager also has the advantage in this tie in terms of Man City assets. 2EyedTurk defeated UTK in the quarter-finals with an impressive score of 66 thanks to his three City stars, Jesus, Sterling and Leroy Sane, who between them netted 28 points.

PetesBlair meanwhile only had Jesus among City assets in his side in a quarter-final victory over Mr Cookie. It seems likely that Sterling will be one of his key targets, with misfiring Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez potentially getting the boot on the back of five straight blanks.

The full quarter final results can be found here, while the semi final draw can be found here.

Today's tactics are simple: Keep the ball away from Lovren and pass the ball to the front 3.

Is Auba to Jesus a bit sideways, or worth it on a free? Will Auba play both?

Seem that way! It was unreal last week as a Sterling owner. How did he only get 1 BAP with three assists and everything going through him?

Yeah, same. The bonus system seems a bit flawed. Bonus aside Sterling still got more returns. His stats are far better than Jesus' too.

    Jones Dilemma!!
    Which of the following please,

    a) Salah Jones > Sane Valencia (-4)
    b) Jones > Danilo/Naughton

Two potential problems with the above.

    a) Salah back in for Mahrez GW38 at a cost again of (-4). Wood becomes dead fodder.

    b) Eriksen in for Mahrez GW38 at a cost again of (-4). Wood becomes Barnes.

Lots of options here for Salah/Willian/Duffy (-8):

    1. Alli, Pogba, Trippier

    2. Sane, Pogba, BDavies

    3. Alli, Sane, Naughton

    4. Eriksen, Son, Naughton

Any preferences (apologies for the repost - different crowd and all)?

Would appreciate advice, as 2 pts separate the top 3 teams in my ML (and I think I need to be ballsy)!!

    Playing TC this week

3 points separating top 3 in my ML. All have TC

    1. Kane (1 rival has no Sterling and likely to TC Kane)
    2. Sterling (form and fixtures, but potential rest. Other rival has him and KAne)
    3. Jesus (1 rival has him).

Lingard has a double himself so not worth it imo. Whether he plays both i am not sure but he can come off the bench and get an assist or a goal so i would keep. Also his form is ok.

is 11 dgw and 4 sgw (salah, zaha, milli, long) players good enough to play BB?

Change Long to someone imo, other 3 are fine

Charlie Austin surely at risk of not playing both games with the quick turnaround?

Could quite easily see Long playing instead against Everton as they’ll try to hit them on the break with pace

I've not been paying much attention to anything this week

    1) Is there any particular reason why Willian seems to be heading out of people's teams ?
    2) Madness to go without Jesus ?
    3) Madness to go with KDB / Sterling / Sane ?

      1) Poor form, no longer nailed - rumours of a bust up with Conte.
      2) not madness if you have other city cover, i'd want him though as he's pretty bolted.
      3) Yes you'd want one of the 3.

        Thx for the reply.

I'm tempted to go with ALL 3 of them (instead of getting Jesus)

I like that tbh and not a lot will do that, just be prepared that 1 or even 2 might be benched. That said they can get returns coming off the bench still.

      1. I'm keeping in the hope that he gets the Huddersfield game. Would sell for Arnie if it was for free but don't think it's worth a -4.
      2. Not madness but very risky.
      3. Could be very profitable.

        3 Amigo's gives me

        KDB / Sterling / Sane / Lingaard / Son
        Kane / Vardy

Original plan was just Vardy > Jesus on an FT, but i'm getting itchy about expecting anything from Willian

Depends if you’re planning on playing Barnes this week.
Ayew better this week, would say Barnes is decent in 38 and can spend transfer points elsewhere.

I am getting Ayew in for Barnes. 2 good fixtures and Ayew looked dangerous to me when I have watched him play. Swansea decent under Carvalhal
